Catching onto a strong tail wind, the monochromatic mare sailed higher into the clouds. At such an altitude she could feel moisture collecting on her feathers, streaming down the soft film and finally coasting off her talons. Today was one of the few days that Allegra had decided to take for herself. Ever since meeting back up with her half-brother, she had been busy assisting in the raising of his children and time had escaped her.
The mare had been grounded for far too long. None of his little family were flyers, with the exception of his womanizing friends, and they were no company she wished to take with her. The weight of her shark tooth nanth against her face kept her present during her musings, and after a bit Allegra descended in a tucked dive before spreading her great wings to fly up once more. It was freeing to be back in the skies!

The wind was whistling through the mane of deep red, tugging at it as if trying to undo the knot at the end. So far only a few strands had escaped from it and the matching tail braid. Which was in itself very surprising with the speed at which their owner was zipping through the clouds. Large wings that could be confused for fire at this speed beat almost effortlessly. Their owner a beautiful mare named Rae was giddy with the feel of the chilly wind whipping across her coat.
She had needed this. Bad weather and looking for little Virulent had kept her mostly grounded. It had been nearly impossible for her to get any air time, let alone truly let herself enjoy it. Her ruby eyes gleamed as she sped up more, not noticing someone in the air near her.
