Being new meant starting back on the bottom rung. It absolutely sucked for someone who had a hard time taking an order from anyone, and it meant she had to relearn nearly everything after two years of scrounging for an assemblage of prowess.
Now that was gone and she was reporting for a tour of a facility she already knew about. Learning about duties she had mostly already run in some shape or form.
Transferring anywhere was never easy (Chel knew that all the way back in middle school having moved from Tennessee to Michigan), but on Deus it was almost more painful because duties were often so intermixed.
But she did show up to the meeting on time, which said something about how much Chel had grown as a person. The old girl would have shirked the responsibility and said ******** it, but here she was in front of the archives, waiting. kaiyumi IM we can talk okay good night /passes out

Eva was quite possibly the worst person when it came to giving tours and explaining how things worked. It didn't help that she had spent the last few months at an outpost rather than attending to her Death division duties here. To say that she was feeling a little unaccustomed to getting back into gathering and organizing data was...well, it was one hell of an understatement. She wasn't sure how this whole "show the new transfer the ropes" was going to go when she felt like she needed a refresher herself, but hey! Maybe doing this would be beneficial to her too, and she was always up for meeting new people.
It wasn't difficult to find the other girl--Eva spotted the other girl as soon as she turned into the hall that led to the archives. That pink hair of hers really stood out! Grinning brightly, she propped one hand up on her hip while she lifted the other one to wave in greeting. As soon as she was within earshot of Chel, she opened her mouth and--
"Man, your hair is super cool! I love the colour especially!"
--let out a less than professional greeting.

Eva didn't seem particularly offended by the less-than-enthusiastic response that she got. Her smile didn't even diminish the slightest s she laughed and gave a little nod of her head.
"That's me," she answered brightly, setting her hands on her hips, "And you're...Chelsea, right?"

"Call me Chel," the pink haired hunter said shortly, not offering her a hand or otherwise in greeting. It wasn't so much that Chel disliked the girl (actually, Chel thought she was pretty cute and had a nice a**), but that she wasn't looking forward to what the day entailed.
She was straightforward about it, at least. "Listen, I kinda already know this place pretty well, bein' full hunter an' all, so f'you wanna skip this and go take some time off, I'm not gonna stop you."
Just saying.

"Chel it is," she agreed, the smile ever-present.
She gave a little shrug of her shoulders, both her expression and posture completely relaxed. "Nah, I don't really mind, but is this something that you want to avoid? Because I'm totally fine with just hanging out for a bit if you really don't want--or need--a tour of this place." It seemed kind of pointless if she was familiar with Deus and all its workings already.
"Truthfully, I'm not sure I'd be of much help," she admitted with a sheepish laugh, "I've been on and off this island--mostly off--for the past two years or so. I'm working on getting my bearings around here again."

"See now that's rad," Chel said. "Where the ******** you been for two years? You probably got cool stories yeah?"
She walked towards the archives. "Just tell those instead and point and stuff every once in a while."

"Ughhh, I wish!" Eva exclaimed, though she seemed all too happy to follow Chel's suggestion, randomly pointing to something as she continued, "I mean, have you ever been stuck doing outpost duty? It's got some pros over being here at Deus, but gods if it isn't boring."So, so boring. And kind of lonely too. She had missed the company of her friends and family in her absence. "What about you though? Hope you don't mind me asking, but why the switch to Death?"

Eva just grinned back. It was hard to tell if she understood and accepted what just happened, or if she was completely in the dark. It was probably the former though.
"Oh good. Well, I can't say our division head is all sunshine and rainbows, so at least hot babes is a fair trade-off I guess."

"Still haven't met him," Chel said with a shrug as they walked. "He gouged my friend's eye out though, so I'm not too hot on him."
So far the division had just been boring trainee work. That was the only annoying part. "Where were you posted?"

Eva flinched, stalling for a second before she continued walking, "Jesus, he what? Why did he do that?" Not that it mattered either way--no matter how she saw it, there weren't many reasons to justify gouging someone's eye out.
"And there wasn't really any one place," she answered with a shrug, "I kind of got thrown around throughout the years as needed. None of them were particularly exciting though, and I honestly missed being here."chiickadee LOL I WAS LIKE w-where...was she posted....? .../SLOW SHRUGS.............

"No ********' clue. Far as I'm concerned, Caelius can kiss my a**." Chel was off to a very great start in her division. Yet all she did was shrug and readjust her ponytail, carrying on with the "tour."
The posted duty sounded boring and Chel was thankful she'd never had more than a day of it. "That sucks d**k too. Least yer back right? Gonna throw a party 'n s**t?"
