The group was on the move again, this time they were heading for town, to see if they could find a ship that was willing to take them on. It was a hard to thing to find some day, some sailors not about to bring those with mixed blood onto their ships. It was hard to even find a ship that was willing to bring his khehora back before they were both able to fly. Today though, if at all possible, they would be taking a ship together, as a group, to Serenia. To visit with Junjie's mother. It had been a few months since their last visit, due to how difficult it could be to get around for those with mixed blood.

Junjie turned to look toward his daughter who was exchanging taunts with her mixed blood friend Bisera, the young man she'd been raised with, someone that was both her friend and her rival. The two were always getting into trouble together since they were little, something that made him smile. Her having a friend like that, one that she spent so much time with, it was something that made him happy. He'd had some friends like that when he was younger, those that he'd lost along the way, first Tilawen when she went missing, then Rio after she lost Killian and her son. They were a pair he hadn't seen in ages but still missed, people he still dreamed about, something that caused him to sigh a little as he looked forward once more.

"You still have use, Jun." Abellio said quietly through the link that he shared with Junjie, stepping in closer to nuzzle against him. It was something that made Junjie smile, lifting a hand to scratch him under the chin.

"I know that, Abellio, thank you." He said, turning to look over at Arjan who was walking on the other side of him, a serious look on his face, not looking as though he cared... though it was obvious that he'd stepped closer. He wanted a pat on the head too, that much was obvious to the Ysali. It was something that made him chuckle before reaching out to scratch his cheek gently. As he was doing so the Kiandri, as well as the Ysali, both froze in place. It was something that made him almost trip over his own feet. Looking in the direction to the side where the pair were looking he saw some Gaili charging their way. He gave a sigh, "We don't get a peaceful moment, do we?" He said to the pair as he lifted his magical staff, summoning up an explosion of old, scraggly vines from the earth to entangle the pair.

The vines had already entangled the dragons by the time the others in the hunting party realized that they were there. Junjie made a few more motions with his dragon headed staff, sending a burst of magical energy toward the dragons, easily wiping them out. It was something that Junjie had done many times before and felt he'd like do in the future, if it meant keeping the group safe he'd fight all the dragons that he ran across and then some. He gave the group a smile and a nod, "It's alright, let's keep moving." He said as Arjan ran over to fetch the dragon orbs, wanting to give them to his bonded. He knew that Junjie would likely leave them behind, wanting to look after the group instead of worrying about the orbs.

They were dropped into Junjie's hands and the hybrid tucked them into his pack, "Thank you, Arjan." He said, smiling at him before they continued walking forward toward their destination.

After the two Gaili that the group had almost, but not quite, run into it was pretty much clear sailing from there... that was until there was a third, very large Gaili that they ran across. It was one that Junjie, for a moment at least, thought was going to just leave them be. It looked their way, gave them a glare, but didn't really move from the spot that it was sitting at. Junjie was leery of its behave. It was watching them... but not attacking. It wasn't until the group was going past that the distant dragon came charging toward them. It wasn't something that Junjie was all that surprised by. The dragon looked older, as though it had been around for a while, it's scales were dull and its wings ragged, it wasn't going to be hunting all that easily. As such this sort of tactic was probably the best way for it go about hunting, wait for something to go by then charge.

It wasn't something that he wanted to fight with. He knew that the dragon was a threat but it was quite old as well, fighting with it seemed almost cruel in a way. He would have preferred being able to just continue on his way but the dragon wouldn't allow that, would it? No, it was determined to fight them, to try to make a meal of the group, and Junjie couldn't allow that. Making a few motions with his staff he cast a powerful spell upon the old Gaili. He'd take it out in a swift, painless manner, letting it pass into the next life, if dragon's had such a thing.

Arjan was, as before, quick the fetch the orb for Junjie. The hybrid man reached out to take the orb from him, looking it over. It was quite large, glittered brightly, showing the power that the dragon had within it. It was the power of its spirit even if its body had started to break down. He nodded to Arjan before tucking it in his pack, "Thank you, Arjan." He said before calling to the group that they could once more continue. The town was in sight now, meaning that they would soon be able to look for the ship.
