OOC: Takes place at the same time as this RP, about halfway through (Natus and Siobhan each have what only counts as half an RP, so this is mostly so they can have, between two, a full RP. It's otherwise DONE, just stupidly short to compensate for their unqualifying RP xD; )
The moon was hanging high in the sky, still low enough to appear large, but no longer kissing the horizon. Natsu enjoyed this time of day, when the sun wasn't burning overhead. The light of the moon was soft, gentle, and cool on the fur, and... What were those lions doing down on the beach? The brown-maned lion sat down, simply watching.
Pale-tipped paws sank slightly into the sand as the lioness walked out onto the beach after her mate. Something had caught his attention, and she wanted to know what it was. As she walked over, it didn't take her long to spy WHAT it was. "What are they doing...?" Besides chasing sea birds around... That much was obvious. The question she really had was, why?
Natsu watched for a moment, then spied the turtles. "It looks like the turtles are hatching! And they're... Protecting them from being eaten." He gave a slight nod. "Ensuring the next generation makes it to the sea, at least, I suppose..."
The ginger-haired lioness chuckled, sitting down for a few minutes to watch. It was, to say the least, quite entertaining to watch the pair ward off the birds. She did feel sorry for the baby turtles, of course - To the world around them, they were little more than an easy meal or snack. As the moon rose higher and the last of the baby sea reptiles made it into the water, she rose back up and stretched. "Well, I think that's enough watching... Let's go to bed." She nuzzled Natsu, then went heading off to their den. It was late, and she wanted as much sleep as possible while it was still cool. Behind her, Natsu, too, stood up, following after her.
