Since awakening Ilyra had done a lot of things. She had fought bandits, earthlings, even two radaku. However she hadn't gone to see Tahigwa yet. Although she had told her mother that it was the first thing she planned on doing once she reached the forest, she had been avoiding Andile like the plague. She wasn't ready to face the possibility that her girlfriend had moved on, that Tahigwa hadn't been worried about her while she was gone. Tahigwa wasn't just her girlfriend, she was also her best friend. What if Tahigwa hated her? It wasn't like it was her fault she was gone for so long, but she was gone.
After over a week of going everywhere besides Andile Ilyra decided that it was time to face the music. It wasn't fair to Tahigwa and the possibilities were eating her inside. Even if Tahigwa had moved on and found another women Ilyra had to know.
It didn't take her long to get to Andile and once she did she began the hunt. She was determined to find her girlfriend, or past girlfriend, it wasn't like she wouldn't recognize Tahigwa when she saw her.

Tahigwa had barely touched her blades since the war. She'd developed a fear of battling after seeing just how terrible things could get out on a battlefield, which coming from an Alkidike's perspective, seemed more like a horrible affliction than anything else. However, two beautiful daughters had been born during this time and grown up to be everything she'd ever dreamed of, so there was an upside. She'd made it through this phase well and came out of it stronger it seemed. So when the rumors that Alkidike extremists were planning an uprising hit her ears, those blades long since discarded called to her with a vigor not unlike when she first became a blade.
The feeling of slicing against tree limbs brought back troves of nostalgia while she practiced her moves. The first time she'd held them, the day she signed up for the war... Her confession to Ilyra at the camp. She paused in her thrashing and gazed, sorrowfully, to the ground. Her Ilyra hadn't returned from war and had been missing ever since... Where was she? Was she safe? Was she even alive? Her face contorted as her mind went through all the possibilities and turned back to slashing at the tree. Wherever Ilyra was, hopefully it was in better circumstances than what she was facing right now...
But she still wished that she was here so they could face the danger together.

She walked around for a while, asking around to where Tahigwa lived. She was told, but was also told that Tahigwa was not home, but in the forests with her blades. Ilyra thanked the informant and headed towards the forest. It would be harder to find her in the forest, but Ilyra was determined.
Finally she spotted her, as beautiful as ever. "Tahi...?" she called out, frozen in place. She had been thinking about this moment since she woke up, now was time to see what would actually happen.

Tahigwa froze the instant her name was called, and her body swiveled sharply to face the source. Who was there? The voice sounded familiar, almost like a ghost. Had she imagined it? She shuffled forward, swords drawn at ready, and listened. The animals in the area had gone quiet, meaning someone had to be nearby... But who?
"Show yourself!" She cried, scanning the trees.
Her eyes moved slowly, like a predator's gaze, until the fell upon something white. She leaned closer, her swords lowering to her sides as she recognized the face staring back at her. Ilyra. Her Ilyra was home!
"I-I-ILYRA!" She screamed, tossing her swords to the ground and leaping towards her girlfriend. "Oh, thank you Aisha! You're safe! Are you hurt? Where have you been? I've been sick with worry over you!"

When Tahigwa called for her to show herself Ilyra froze. That wasn't a good sign, not at all. She stood still until Tahigwa spotted her, and once she did all fear was erased from Ilyra's mind. She picked up her girlfriend and twirled her around in the air.
"I missed you so much. I'm fine now." she didn't like talking about what happened, but Tahigwa deserved to know. "I was injured in the war, in some sort of coma. I was taken away by some healers and it took a while for me to get better. My mother found me eventually, and then it was a waiting game. As soon as I was able I came back though. I didn't want to worry you. For that I'm so sorry."

Tahigwa squealed with surprise as she was lifted into the air and twirled. Her Ilyra was back, her Ilyra was back! Out of all the things that could go right in her life, this had to be the best! Once her feet were back on the ground, she wasted no time in wrapping Ilyra in a hug and pressing a series of kisses to her forehead. This was hers, no one could take Ilyra away from her now!
"Oh, thank Aisha! Thank Aisha you're alive and well!" She exclaimed, heaving out a breath. "A coma, though? My poor Ly-Ly! Are you sure you're feeling okay? You should come back to the house for some tea! ... I've kind of become an old crotch and took up the habit of drinking tea."
She blushed and looked away, sheepishly, only to press herself against Ilyra.
"Woman, I worry about everything, don't apologize." She muttered, sighing. "I'm just so glad that no one has hurt you or taken you away from me. You're precious to me, like the air I breathe."

She laughed as Tahigwa attacked her with kisses, managing to get in a few herself. This was where she was meant to be all along. This was home for her, being with her Tahigwa. With every kiss planted on her it was like abad memory was erased. Her girlfriend was healing her without even meaning to. This was true love.
She nodded. "Yes I'm fine, but I would love to come back home with you." she winked at this. "The woman who was taking care of me liked tea also, so I've grown found of it."
She held her girlfriend close, snuggling into her. "As you are to me. There is nothing in this worlt that would have kept me from you any longer then necessary. I had forgotten how much I missed your smell." it was something so simple, but she knew with all certainty that she would never miss it again.
