Athene stared at the message for a few moments, he had been out on patrol when his phone pinged with the notification of a new message, had thought at first that it might be something from one of his team mates - Hyakutake was not a name he was familiar with though.

There was only one real answer for him though and so he had tapped out a quick return message:



Which had brought him to today, heading for the fountain that Hyakutake had specified in his or her message.

The weather was warm enough that Athene had skipped on picking that the hot drink that he tended to pick up during the colder months, instead munching on one of the cookies that he tended to keep in the satchel that he took with him with him on the off-chance that he ran into ********* (or any other mauvian with a sweet tooth).

There was a blonde haired senshi by the fountain by the time he reached and Athene walked over to her, calling out when he was close enough "Good evening. Are you Sailor Hyakutake by any chance?" It was best to make sure just in case - after all Athene had no idea what Hyakutake looked like given that this was their first time meeting.

Athene nodded at Hyakutake's return question of his own identity as he reached out to take her offered hand.

"I am" he confirmed with a smile that though small was friendly, shaking her hand with a grip that while firm was not crushing. "And it's nice to meet you as well."

He let his hand fall down casually to his side after the hand shake and absently tugged at the end of his braid as he continued "Your message said you wanted to know more about the Watch. Was there anything specific such as what the Watch does and its purpose or would you like the background too?"

Athene nodded at Hyakutake's request for the background behind the Black Watch.

"The Black Watch was developed as a way to bring Order together" he said quietly. "It's not actually the first time that there's been discussion about Order needing to work together, but the Watch is in a way Thraen's brain child."

After all Thraen had been the one who had sought them out and ask them to pass the word on and Thraen had been the one who had organised the date. It had been Thraen too who had spoken to them of the ideas of what the Watch should do and Thraen who had stood and answered the questions that had been asked in the early hours of that July morning.

"Thraen is the Eternal Senshi of Gardens" he added as clarification before continuing "And the Watch was officially founded last July on the night" well it had been technically morning "of the full moon." Another absent tug of the braided part of his hair "It was held up on the Moon because chaos can't go there" He paused to see if Hyakutake had any questions.

"Ash, one of the mauvians involved in the Watch, has managed to find a way to mass message all the senshi phones" Athene said quietly. "It seems to work on every single senshi phone and even works when you're on your home world, although there seems to be a bit of a delay before the message gets through." He'd found out that last bit from Ida back at the start of the year when members of Order had worked together to rescue those that the Negaverse had kidnapped.

Ida had actually been on Ida at the time and had been so since just after Christmas, but had received the message that he and Ash had written between them asking Watch members to help in the search on the day that they had managed to find the clue that had led them to where the Negaverse had been holding those that they had taken.

"Prior to the Watch founding meeting last year Ash used it to send a message letting people know the date and time of the meeting" his quiet voice turned solemn "And earlier this year it was used when the Negaverse kidnapped a bunch of Senshi and Knights from that Ball that the city put on to see in the new year."

He was quiet for a few moments as he remembered a time with far too much coffee and far too little sleep, as he had done his part to find information - any information on where the Negaverse had taken those they had taken to pass on to Ash who had collated everything.

For a few moments he remembered the 'Fun' House, eventually however he looked up and finally continued "Ash and *********, another mauvian - although not not involved in the Watch" at least as far as he knew, ********* wasn't involved in the Watch "Also came up with a smart phone upgrade to the senshi phones" he pulled out his phone and held it out so that Hyakutake could take a look at it should she want.

"Some of us have passed on information for the Primer and the Watch has been working on trying to arrange for people to hook up with patrol partners so that they don't have to feel like they have to patrol alone."

He absently fiddled with the end of his braid "There's still lots we can do and whilst Ash can mass message the senshi phones there doesn't seem to be a way for us to communicate with the Knights, unless we ask Knights that we know to pass a message on, but the Watch ideals kind of fit in with some of the stuff that myself and my team already do - well try our best to do - but unlike the four of us can reach more people."

"Funnily enough I was awakened by ********* who was the other mauvian involved in the senshi phone upgrade" Athene admitted as his lips quirked up in a fond smile at the thought of the silvery-furred mauvian. "She was the one who upgraded me to a super senshi and then later to an eternal senshi - although the upgraded phones weren't around back then."

His smile had faded as he talked about the ball and Ash's subsequent mass-messaging of the senshi phones. "There was" he said in answer to Hyakutake's mention of there being more to the aforementioned Ball, a small part of him relieved that the other senshi hadn't pressed for details because - whilst he would tell her if asked - even passing on to four months later what he had found in the very much not fun house still brought up bad memories.

Athene listened as Hyakutake mentioned patrolling with a knight and of making sure that someone knew her general area when she went out on patrol - because they were both sensible precautions given that it could be dangerous to patrol alone.

He hadn't been expecting for her to volunteer there and then, but he had nodded "I think I can honestly say that we'd love to have you - anyone willing to help in whatever capacity they can is welcome."

Because the Watch was only as good as what everyone put into it.

"Thank you" Athene said simply, adding "By the way I'm always happy to talk to people about the Watch if you find anyone who's interested in finding out more and it doesn't have to be just me either." After all he was pretty sure that the rest of the executors and executrices would be happy to chat to people interested in finding out more.

"I'm also happy to go out patrolling with people regardless of whether they get involved with the Watch or not." After all it wouldn't be the first time that he had teamed up temporarily with someone and patrolling as two was a lot safer than patrolling as one.

"It was a pleasure meeting you as well Hyakutake" Athene said with a small smile as he reached out to shake the offered hand.

"And I look forward to working on Watch things with you as well" he continued, adding "But for now I hope you have a pleasant rest of the evening."

It was about time for him to be heading off as well, although Athene made a mental note to send a note through to the other executors and executrices in order to keep them updated.

That would be a later thing however - a final 'to do' task for him prior to powering down and heading home for the night.
