Personality: A vain little thing for the most part, who speaks his mind and is one of the few who can stand up to the proud and stubborn Hifadhi. Even though he can be very full of himself, and tends to be uptight, the fact is, Pepo was the bonded bird of the Captain of the Guard. He's tough, he's been in battles, he's crafty, and he knows what's what. When push comes to shove, Pepo can hold his own and is very protective of the old lion who he didn't find until Hifadhi was already an adult.

Biography: Pepo and his sister Femi were brought up knowing that they were destined to be bonded to lions. The only issue was, by the time they finally figured out where their lions were, the two were already all grown up, and the birds were still babies. Still, the two siblings bonded quickly with Hifadhi and his mate, and they stepped up to help them with the Guard as best they could.
That was until the tragedy where Hifadhi's children died... and with them, Femi went missing as well. No one ever knew what happened to her, despite how much Hifadhi and Pepo looked for her. They could never find the girls.
Pepo remained with Hifadhi, even when his retirement was immanent. The two were always close... even in the face of the dangers which faced the pride when Hifadhi was ancient, and Pepo himself began to feel the sting of old age.
