Okay so one of the things that are new is the Limited Time Bundles.
These are great, but you guys have been putting items with them that should have been in the monthly CI in the first place.
Honestly, it feels like you're like EA & we have to pay for the game & then for the DLC to get the full experience.
Basically, these are great to have, but please include the items that are MEANT to be in the monthly CI, IN THE THE MONTHLY CI & not as an add on please.
I know you're going to say that the timed limit gives everyone a better chance at getting one, but the prices are really steep for most, so can you stick with the limited add bundles with just recolors?
An add on should be an add on, not an essential part of the product.

Thank you for the feedback on our Limited Time bundles. We don't always make sets in every CI based off of every NPC in it and based on user feedback we decided to make these special. In the future we will consider making Limited Time items that aren't tied to CIs.

The amount unlocked by the Kickstarter will be the MINIMUM amount of items that are in the gate, our art team will be doing as much as they possibly can to stuff it full of good things. 3nodding

We try our best to have our tiers go live at the same time as an update (preferably the morning one) and sometimes it all goes awry and we end up having to release it later. Our CS team is very accommodating if you've missed purchasing by a few hours and they should be able to grant you items from the tier quickly. heart

This is a great idea and something we've thought about! Unfortunately a big Gaia NPC-pedia is something that will be more of a long-term project and currently has to remain on the backburner until the art team has a bit more free time. They're still getting settled in, I'm not sure if they're planning on building a spaceship to leave Gaia or collecting parts to create a house or shop! In any case they're really active so I suspect they'll be back.

Items have been breaking a LOT lately. Random poses will show up as 'not released', and putting on the item will almost completely disable the dress up room. The thing is, these are items that have been out for some time now! A few that I personally own that have suffered from this are Nessie's Astute Face and the yellow Loyal's Rose Bride recolor that came out, the name evades me. Also the black Holy Flower recolor suffers this in spades.
Will and can anything be done to fix this item breakage? sweatdrop It's kind of putting a dent in a lot of people's ability to make avatars when items at random points seem to just... BREAK.

Hi there! We've been doing a lot of bug fixing and tweaks on the back end for our item database, which is unfortunately causing some of our items to randomly break and we actually can't predict or know when or what item this happens to as well. If you see this, go ahead and make a thread or a post on Site Feedback and someone should be able to fix or address the problem as soon as possible. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience but when everything is fixed (which should be by the end of the week), it'll make for a smoother item database! Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

The Snowflake charm will be used in every winter event for exclusive items moving forward- it was made into a soulbound item to make it challenging for users to win them as opposed to just hopping on the MP and buying them.

Would it be possible to tweak some of the formulas to make them more practical and affordable?
I know these Alchemy questions are pretty possible, but I just want to share my PoV on it.
Some of the formulas are too expensive component wise or are simply not available in the amounts we need (like Diapered Egg requires Baby Breaths Bows that aren’t even being sold in MP to provide enough required to make it) that it is just cheaper to buy the item you want to make rather than make it. Also, in the case of creating RIGs, it requires several copies of the same failed item (I know one requires 9 and it has multiple pathways and it is possible to acquire those items via another RIG instead of trying to get them from the MP) which seems redundant and just not worth it. A suggestion would be to create more pathways, with one being a possible combination of different items from that RIG instead of the one.

Right now we don't have any plans to update housing items in the coming month, but we'll definitely consider piratey themes like this for the future when we are able to update housing again!

I wish we had more time for housing, but we are releasing a lot of features this year. Housing was my first project here at Gaia, so it is kind of a special feature for me.

We have hearts but it's almost impossible to get stars and diamonds unless you get them from the daily chance. This will make some of the go fusion items more realistic to actually earn...

In relation to my previous suggestion, possibly fur potions will be sold that color the default paw bases. One time use similar to the human potions in Skin Tyte.
Essentially making the grey paw base a different and would only color the default bases.
They should work just like human potions. And only be used to recolor the cat, wolf, bear, puppy or bunny bases.

Unfortunately the human and animal system for avatars on Gaia are actually different, so we can't make any potions for one-time use furs (or at least at this time, not to my knowledge). We also thought that people would probably prefer having their furs equippable at any time, anyways. Sorry for the inconvenience! heart

I was sorely disappointed that the last spending tier (the "King's" Tier) had only 1/2 an item that could be considered male (Grape Marionette Restrung) and one that was gender neutral (Fafnir recolor), and both of those were in the second to last tier. I was under the impression that spending tiers would have a higher male to female ratio after people last complained about it. Can you please make sure us guys (or people who prefer masculine clothing) aren't left out of future tiers?

In general we try to do half female, half unisex/male, and at least one Paw item- this Tier was perhaps misnamed because the creator likes to call himself 'King'. Occasionally we will do pop-up tiers and these won't be as balanced I'm afraid, but we generally strive to include as many Gaians as possible in these events. 3nodding

I would love it they could all be named, and then have the same colours used.
ie Checkmate blue, and then in any other checkmate blue items, the colours would be exactly the same.
I'm asking because there are a lot of items that are similar in colour but are just slightly off. (see all the lavender items, some are super light and then some are super dark)
some with the wintermint, some are quite different then others.

So interestingly enough, our artists work from the same palette but the way that artists apply colors will make items appear like they are darker or lighter in some cases. Obviously not everyone uses the same palettes all the time but as much as we try to 'match' item sets for easier use, the way that an artist renders or shades an item will affect how the overall item is perceived in terms of color. We're working on ways to give unique names to specific shades of colors that are popular, but the diversity of colors and items on Gaia is part of what makes us unique, and finding just the right item to finish your outfit is part of what makes Gaia what it is!

Are measures being taken to ensure we don't get a repeat of the debacle from the last Loyal's Gate? Maybe treating the donors' gates like advanced chances so they can open them before they're officially released in the shop might keep traffic down a bit and give people a better reason to sink their gold. And adding a ten second breathing period between openings like with the Convert-O-Matic might help as well.

This is actually an idea we've been passing around ourselves at Gaia HQ! The only issue right now with Astra faces is that they will layer on top of everything (including hairs, eye patches, masks, etc.) but this is definitely something possible in the future. heart

Please don’t take offense to this question, but could someone explain the rationale behind the cost of Ascended Bundle and The Dragon Queen Bundle? These items cost two hundred and fifty thousand gaia cash and two hundred thousand gaia cash respectively. If 100 GC = $1 then that means the American dollar value of those two bundles are $2,500 and $2,000. At the very least I’d like clarification if the price is as intended, meaning you expect users to spend $2,000 and more on a single virtual item with limited use and function (as opposed to using that same amount of money as down payment on a new car, a flat-screen tv, and other items with real world applications and usage).
Follow-up question if not explained in the answering of the original question: Who is the target consumer for these high price ‘luxury’ virtual items whose ‘use’ is so limited in scope?

These bundles were priced very high due to the content inside. Some of the items inside were sold individually for almost that much and to price the bundle without taking those into account would depreciate the value of the investments of users who purchased them. These bundles would obviously be much less expensive if they didn't have Angelic Halos and other components inside.

Some of these re-colors are pretty inflated and it's making questing difficult. I also don't think it's very fair that paw bases can get these items in a shop while humans cant...

We can look into that! Personally, I think that Paws should get a little spoiling since they wait so patiently for new silhouettes or items, while humans have daily updates to look forward to.

This is kind of late I guess, but The Epic recipes from Dead Man's Shadow (before the death of zOMG) still require items that are not availible anymore (now that zOMG is gone and the ingredients are not in zOMG caches) , I was curious if you would remake Epic recipes such as: Epic Recipe: Blood Bat (only one that came to mind) and other Epic recipes into Alchemy recipes so that players can still make the items.

Converting the salon hairs for paws is actually a much larger undertaking than it appears...... so at the moment it's not on our list of things to get done in the near future since paws will probably appreciate having exclusive new hairs instead. Could we please get less Limited Quantity cosplay items? I'm LOVING seeing some Digimon items, but because they're so limited, I feel like I have 0 hope of ever getting any of them. Perhaps a limited TIME offer for them, instead? Say, a week? It'd give folks who are JUST waiting for payday at least SOME time to get some of these items if they have the means to do so(Not that I'd be able to, I'm without a job right now xD; )

I only just learned today after being a Gaian for almost eight years that we have an advanced search feature. And I'm a librarian who does searches for a living.
Is there any way we could make this button more prominent or have it show up as an option right when you click on search as opposed to only showing up as a small button on the opposite side of the screen of where I am typing my search?
As an example, when I go to the forums tab and click on search, this is what I get:

When I select something from the drop down, then the "advanced search" button shows up. Too bad it's tiny and not any place on the screen that I would normally look since my focus is on the left side of the screen where I'm typing my search.
