Age: 51
Birthday: January 7
Sign: Capricorn
Gemstone: Peridot
Blood Type: AB
Fav. Food: Lamb, fine wine and whiskey
Hated Food: Crustaceans or anything that carried its home with it. Disgusting!
Occupation: Stockbroker, owner of multiple small businesses throughout Sugarland and Rosharon, Texas.
Hobbies: Wine Tasting and Wine Making - Frederick comes from a refine, well respectable family, and there are fewer things in life that Frederick enjoys more than the taste of wine. He will go to great lengths to procure a supplies and even has resorted to making his own from time to time (though he was never content with the end results enough to make it into a profitable business, much to his dismay.) He fancies himself a connoisseur of wines and if there is a meal that doesn’t have a glass of Merlot to accompany it, it’s not a dish he’ll be having again.
Watching Competitive Racing - Frederick’s prime years may be behind him, but one passion that has remained with him was his unquenchable need for speed. Or, in the very least, watching others go extremely fast, as he never had the endurance nor the insurance to participate for himself. From Nascar, to horse racing, to the track and field in the Summer Olympics, Frederick is glued to the seat and enjoys the rush of adrenaline that comes with watching such feats, without sweating or harming himself in the process. His love for Nascar as a whole has taken a severe plummet in recent years, but he’ll just tune in from time to time, to see if anyone of these new drivers could recapture the heart and spirit of the golden age.
Gambling - His love for competitive racing didn’t come alone, as his love for gambling followed right along with it, being a perfect and almost inseparable pair. His admiration for competitive racing extends to not only his need for speed but his wallet as well, and he’s never one to cheap out on a bet, either. The motto “go big or go home” might as well be his rosary prayer. Frederick likes a high risk, high rewards game, and he enjoys the emotional roller coaster that goes along with it (though, he much prefers if he comes out of the ordeal richer, as it certainly helps him sleep a little better at night!)
Unfortunately, his little gambling escapades tend to cause a few financial strains from time to time, but luckily he has a supporting family to bail assist him in getting back to his feet every time he makes a stumble.Virtues: Lively - Frederick is no spring chicken, but he’s still in his prime, and as far as he’s concerned, he has many, many years left ahead of him. A lover of adrenaline, Frederick is quite active and is always running about or keeping himself busy these days. With his children grown up and successful in their own right, and his succubus of a wife no longer of the living, he has a lot of energy left over to do all of the things he longed to do, and he intends on enjoying every second of it.
Courteous - If there’s one thing that the Moreau family prides itself with, is that they are polite and courteous at all times. Sure, this gives them all a rather ‘high and mighty’ appearance to others, and perhaps there is some truth to that, but for Frederick, it’s a code to live by. To swear by! He always thrives to be polite and proper and encourages his family to do the same (sometimes with little success, sadly). His courteous nature makes him amicable and allows him to get along with even the most stubborn of people, which can open the doors to opportunities later on.
Poised - Frederick discovered that the older one got, the more one tended to be able to blend into the background, and given the drama queen that his wife and children were, it was easy for him to fade into the background and manage things from behind the scenes. A few movements here, some nudges there, and he could manage to manipulate the situation back into a favorable and more manageable one for him. When one lives by the motto of ‘go big or go home’, one had to be prepared for situations to go sour, and it never hurt to be prepared to either salvage the situation or disappear without a trace before anyone can shift the blame on him.
Experienced - Despite his rather pompous upbringing, Frederick was never once sheltered, and neither will he ever be, as far as he’s got a stable mind to work with. And in that stable mind is a plethora of memories and experiences that he is happy to share with just about anyone. Though he’s reached a point of financial stability and bliss, he’s endured a few (scratch that, several more than he’s willing to admit) hardships in the past and is willing to share such experiences and advice to others, should they ever need it.
Flaws: Reckless - Frederick’s love for adrenaline and a lifetime filled with his fair share of regrets have an awful side effect of making him a little more concerned about enjoying himself and living life to the fullest and not to much about personal health and safety. His ways tend to lead him down more dangerous paths, much to the dismay of his friends and family, but unless they tie him up and strap him down, he’s perfectly content to deal with a few ‘occupational hazards’ that come with enjoying life to the fullest and wouldn’t mind a broken leg so long as he took the road less traveled.
Addictive - His love of wine and gambling is more than just a passion. It’s an addiction. An all-consuming addiction, and his addictive personality doesn’t drawn the line there either. Anything that would bring Frederick pleasure, be it adrenaline, candy, or any other kind of activity, he can easily find himself becoming dangerously attached, and prying himself away from such pleasures has proven to be extremely difficult for Frederick.
If not for the off and on support of his beloved on and off again wife, Victoria, as well as his two boys, his gambling addiction may have done him in years ago, and he always has his two boys to help pick him back up when he strays too far down the rabbit holes of his various addictions. Easily Forgotten/Overlooked - In the Moreau family, the less vocal and less dramatic of the family members are blessed, and cursed, with the ability to simply fade into the background, and while it could be useful in avoiding a situation or running things behind the scenes, it can be problematic when one is looking to be noticed. Frederick has this problem, and though he’d like to scream and fuss, his courteous nature compels him to simply remain silent and accept that sometimes, he’s nothing more than a statue or a fly on the wall, present but invisible to all.
Living in the Past - Frederick’s had many adventures, and many more to come should he survive his own reckless nature, but for one reason or another, he tends to get lost reminiscing about his younger days. He gets lost in the good times, the bad times, the many, many mistakes he’s made, all of the things he could have done differently instead. Becoming a widower has given him a lot of time to consider such things, and perhaps its all of the missed opportunities of his past that has driven him to rush out and live vicariously in the present almost at reckless abandon...
