Canon Trap Jutsus:

Regulations:

1. These still fall under their own specific sections, limits, etc.
2. Puppet Class users may add these to their puppets, given correct usage.
3. Even traps without 'near life-like' cannot be immediately discovered without tripping them. 'Near life-like' simply makes it appear as though the trap has been there for ages, & not made any time recently.
4. Notes & appendages will be labelled as such under each jutsu/activator, particular to that technique only.


Shintenkugutsu Juin no Jutsu [ Mind Puppet Change Curse Seal ]Technique

Official Description: Shintenkugutsu Juin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that allows the Yamanaka clan member to place the mind of the victim into a puppet rather than their own body. After transferring his body into that of a puppet, the user's body will become defenseless. The user will manipulate it to throw a weapon at the victim ninja. Should the ninja catch the weapon and launch it back into the puppet, the curse tag on the puppet will activate and the victim will find their mind in that of the puppet. Because of the curse seal, the victim will be unable to manipulate the puppet's body.

The user themself will change places with the victim and take control of their body. Like normal Shintenshin, the user will be unable to inflict injury on the victim's body without also being injured themself. For this reason, the user can create a situation where the victim's body is hurt but they are not. They can do this by binding the victim's body so they have no chance of escape and then putting them in a situation where harm cannot be avoided after they leave their body moments before. A skilled enough ninja can detect the user's presence in their comrade's body and end the jutsu before the user can complete his/her goals.
Notes: 'Skilled Enough' refers to a Jounin or higher with a sensor jutsu active. Those lacking in one or the other cannot detect via that way, & must resort to assuming that it is the real person for at least 2 posts. (there are other ways of detection that do not include chakra usage...)

Wire trips may have only one of the above at any one time. Objects used in conjunction with them must come from the individual's inventory, or chakra pool. Wire trips without Fuuin/Genjutsu activators cannot be sensed with sensory jutsus. Takes 1 post to set up, & cannot be set up within battle without a genjutsu active.

Pits - small, medium, large

Dead Falls are just areas that give way when the target approaches over top of them. Simple pits are allowed one of the following: Fuuin/Genjutsu activators, near life-like realism, wildlife, explosives, sticky bottoms, slick walls, skiski ceiling nets, or aerial poisons. Spiked pits are allowed one of the following: any poison, spikes/bladed weapons launchers, near life-like realism, wildlife, or slick walls. Walled pits are those that are contained on the sides of cliffs, rocks, trees, etc, & cannot be stepped upon. They are allowed one of the following: spikes/bladed weapons launchers, near life-like realism, wildlife, explosives, or Fuuin/Genjutsu activators.

Dead falls must be set-up before a battle, & cannot be done once inside one, due to the time it takes to set one. Those without Fuuin Activators cannot be detected via Sensory Jutsus. Doton users can naturally move & reset a non-spiked dead fall with an amount of chakra listed below (non-reduceable):

Small - refers to a volume of less than 10 cubic meters. Takes E-ranked to move. 1 post to create.
Medium - refers to a volume of 10-125 cubic meters. Takes D-ranked to move. 2 posts to create.
Large - refers to a volume of more than 125-1000 cubic meters. Takes C-ranked to move. 3 posts to create.


Terrain Change Traps


Unlike a dead fall, terrain change traps are limited to mere movement, & rely heavily upon triggers. Without a trigger, these traps will not operate. They are usually accompanied by inflowing/outflowing water, lava, chemicals, sand, boulders, air, etc.

Vertical - Doors/gates opening or closing, & walls shifting up or down.

Horizontal - Doors opening/closing, floors moving, walls contracting or receding, & objects moving.


Light Traps:

Useful only in highly shady places or dark areas, light traps act as a sensor to set off wire traps & dead falls. The opposite--a Dark Trap--is usually set up as a shade where one shouldn't be, such as in a bright area. Cannot be set up in battle without an active genjutsu. Takes 1 post to link a Light/Dark Trap to another trap. Light Traps double the speed of a trap, at the sacrifice of being more visible, & prone to setting off from non-human interactions.

Name: Hikari to Kage to Shikakejirai
Useful mainly to only Hikariton, Nara Clan, & Anyouton users, this jutsu allows their jutsus to be junctioned into Light/Dark Traps. Not recommended for other users as their supply of light/shade/darkness required jutsus are highly limited.

ID triggers (Cameras):


Jutsu activation (by type, size, orientation, etc...), specifically known chakra signatures, noise, thermal, scent, or movement can cause these to come online to snap a quick picture/video. Can self-activate wires, dead falls, & terrain change traps if the user is nearby. (i.e. no npcs & in the same thread) Can also snap pictures of chakra, but it takes 3 posts to develop, outside of battle.


Pressure Plates:


Normal pressure plates can be used to combo together with either a wire trap, a dead fall, or a terrain change trap, remotely. Cannot be set up in battle without an active genjutsu. Takes 1 post to link a pressure plate to another trap. ex.: Pressure plates can be used to delay another trap, or provide a temporary distraction.

Name: Akkaku no Inmen
(lit. Pressure sense's hidden surface) This jutsu allows one to set up a barrier formation that spreads across a 1000 cubic meter volume. Any chakra containing vessel (such as a human) that touches a surface within the volume will set off whatever the trap contains. After the trap springs, it will reset. The barrier can be destroyed if all 4 tags can be individually overwhelmed by C-rank or greater jutsu. Can be sensed by active sensory jutsu.

Conditional Triggers

Conditional triggers have some condition that must be met before they activate other traps. Due to how infrequent these are, the traps that are sprung have extra bonuses, as listed.

Damage - Something suffers damage or breaks, like a door, wall, gate, etc., and thus activates a trap in the area. May be connected to a wire trap, dead fall, terrain change trap, or Fuuin. Is allowed to have 2 different Fuuin at the same time.

Mechanical - Something is moved, altered, or misappropriated can cause these traps to occur. May be connected to a wire trap, dead fall, terrain change trap, or Genjutsu. Is allowed to have 2 different Genjutsu at the same time.

Organic - Some living creature--other than the user--becoming damaged, altered, or misappropriated can cause these chakra sensor traps to occur. May be connected to a Fuuin, a Genjutsu, or both.
