Aysun gave a sighing sound as he looked to Sunshine, his Kinfa, who was walking along beside him, never really one for flying, and he said, "Can you believe this? He said that he wanted to come out with us and see what it is that we do all day and he's still sleeping? Who sleeps this late?" Definitely not Aysun, he'd be pecked to death if he slept in late and made his animal wait on their breakfast. Sunshine especially was a spoiled princess, the sort that didn't want to be left waiting.

The bird gave a chirp in response as they came to a halt in front of the door that supposedly belonged to Samoset. The older woman downstairs, one who seemed shocked that Sam even had friends, had told him to head this way to find him. Pushing the door open he peeked inside, "Sam? Hey, idiot, you are supposed to be ready to go!" He called out before spotting the one he was looking for still in bed, still sleeping, and he gave a sighing sound, "Can you believe this? He isn't going to last trying to keep up with Sunshine." He said, giving her a little pet on the head before he started across the room, his steps purposeful. There was that part of him that was tempted to just grab hold of the blankets and dragged them, and maybe Sam, off the bed... but decided against it. There was that risk that he was sans clothing, not something Aysun wanted to risk.

Instead he came to stand at the side of the bed, putting on knee on it, and leaned forward. Resting his hands on either side of the sleeping Sam he whispered very quietly against his ear, "Are you have dirty dreams about me, Sam?" He couldn't resist, the desire to screw with Samoset was far too tempting.

It wasn't that Samoset was lazy, honestly, he just didn't see any reason to get up at the crack of dawn like the rest of his family did. He preferred to rise slowly and on his own terms. Not many people seemed to understand that, which in his opinion, was terribly unfortunate. How could they function on such little sleep? Did they nap while they hunted? That seemed like such poor skill to him. Who slept on the job anyway? Not him, never him. It was poor work ethic and a bad habit to maintain.

His antennae gave a twitch as Aysun entered the room, but signaled back to Samoset in the same manner as they did when Kennet entered the room. He was used to sharing his room with a brother who had absolutely no concern for how loud he was and, thus, wasn't the least bit alarmed when Aysun began to talk. To his unconscious mind, Aysun was Kennet making noise as he usually did, and that didn't need to be addressed. However, when Aysun placed his knee on the bed and leaned over him, his antennae began to twitch in a different pattern. This wasn't Kennet, this was someone else... Someone who he'd never expect to be in his room, much less above him. The hybrid's eyes pulled themselves open, fluttered slowly, and snapped wide open.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Get off of me!" He snarled, shooting up in bed. "What are you doing here? What's wrong with you? Do you usually do things like this? Just, come into rooms, lean over sleeping people, and whisper disgusting things into their ears?"

He gave the other a judgmental once over. Or, maybe he'd been here all night? No, he'd remember being beaten over the head and trying to seduce someone he barely enjoyed talking to. Unless he'd come here to watch him sleep? He shuddered at the thought. How could someone be that obsessive? It was too much for him to think about, let alone at this hour of the morning! What was it? Nine o'clock? Ten o'clock? At this point, who cared? All that mattered to him was that Aysun was, for some unknown reason, in his room, and on his bed. There was no time that wasn't awkward for that sort of situation!

Aysun gave a smile when he saw Samoset's dark eyes open up, finding that for a very split second, when they were just fluttering, that they were almost attractive. A moment later the effect was ruined though as the guy came launching himself out of the bed in a manner that forced Aysun to retreat so as not to suffer a very unwanted headbutt since Samoset didn't seem to think about anything other then sitting up, demanding that Aysun 'get off him'. He gave a bit of a chuckle as he stepped back, starring at the other guy as he snarled at him, something that he found to be more amusing then anything, "I was given permission, not like I would just come sneaking into your room at random, Samoset." He said, giving a little shake of his head.

"Do I usually do that? Naw, you're just special and I enjoy teasing you more then anything else in the world." He said, before his grin turned into a full on smirk, "I find it amusing though, you never denied it... so you were having dreams about me? Perv." He said, giving a chuckle as he took a couple steps back, just in case the guy thought to come after him. Better that he was prepared for any attack that he came his way instead of just allowing Samoset to get the better of him. He knew that he shouldn't be baiting him already, he'd just got here, but there was just something about Samoset that made Aysun want to mess with him. He supposed he was a good target since he always reacted in the best way. It was harder with others to get them react in such a flashy manner.

Crossing his arms over his chest he asked, "So! You going to get ready to go? We have a lot to do today, unless of course you'd rather go back to dreaming about me? I know I am irresistible so I would understand if you'd rather do that."

He was given permission? By whom? Samoset couldn't fathom who would be so lenient and careless... It was probably his grandmother, wasn't it? He sighed at the realization and huffed, before arching an eyebrow at Aysun. What was with this kid and assuming an attraction between them? There was nothing there! ... Was there? He blinked and shook the thoughts away, even while being bombarded with the same words again. It would be a cold day in Jauhar when he'd admit to these thoughts, and even then, he'd sooner have his tongue chopped off.

"Eh? What are you blathering on about?" He asked, his face contorting in confusion. "Where are we go-I mean, I never agreed to go somewhere with you! Explain yourself! You can't just barge your way into someone's room, even with permission from someone else in the house! It's not very honorable, nor trustworthy!"

He folded his arms and stared, irritably, at Aysun. He wasn't going to get up from this bed until he had reasonable explanation for what he was doing. Even then, who was there to say he was going to leave the house with Aysun? He didn't want anyone getting any ideas, it was bad enough that Kennet had a secret boyfriend! He didn't want the village thinking that he was the same way! What would Elsheba think of him? What would his elders think of him? It would tarnish his good image, if he even had one to tarnish, that is.

Aysun starred at Samoset for a long, draw out moment, his eyes a bit wide, before he gave a long suffering sigh, "Are you serious or are you just messing with me now?" He asked, starring at him, then glanced over at Sunshine, "I think that he might be serious. Can you believe him? Makes us come all this way and then conveniently he forgets that he was supposed to come out with us for a day." He and Sunshine turned in sync, both he and the kinfa giving Samoset the same look before Aysun gave a lazy sort of half shrug, "No, it's fine, I mean of course your forgot, not like you wanted to come along anyway. You'd of just ended up giving up anyway." He kept it light, as though the fact that Samoset 'forgot' about what they were supposed to do didn't mean anything to him.

"I guess that means we will have to find something else to do today." He mused, wondering if that meant that he should go on another radaku scouting mission? He was still trying to find one of his own. He'd of rather brought Samoset along but the guy didn't seem to want to come along. It was a... a shame. Odd that he was so bothered by it but then again he supposed he'd kind of been looking forward to it? Only because he was certain that he was going to show him up, that was all! Not as if he was looking forward to sharing a day with someone who threatened to kill him.

Waving a hand at Samoset he said, "Whatever, if you would rather sit in bed and pout feel free, I doubt you would have done anything but hold us back anyway." He told him, walking toward the door, "Come on, Sunshine, let's let Samoset go back to bed, he needs his beauty sleep." The kinfa gave a chirp before following along after Aysun, eager to get on the road now that the side tracking was done with.

Samoset watched Aysun's face fall and tilted his head like a confused animal. What was he so upset about? He didn't get to be upset, he wasn't the one getting his privacy invaded! The hybrid folded his arms and gave a small huff, only to be taken aback by Aysun's words. Wait, he came here to pick him up for a day out? When did he agree to that? Was that when they met the first time or the second time when Aysun had effectively broken the very core of his psyche? He rolled his tongue around to the side of his mouth as his head craned itself upwards in an attempt to remember. Something about betting he could keep up with Aysun, right? Oh, right, yeah. Huh. He had promised Aysun a trip out, hadn't he? He damned himself for how forgetful he was, but, really, how could he remember something like that? He'd just been rudely awakened in a potentially socially compromising way. Did Aysun really expect that the first thing he'd think about upon waking was the promise he'd made? It made Aysun seem a little egotistical, but that was a matter for another day.

"OI, OI, HOLD UP!" He yelped, hopping out from the bed. "If that was the object of this visit, why didn't you start by saying so? I'm not a mind reader and, as heartbreaking as it must be to hear, you aren't the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning! Just give me a few minutes to get some things packed, if you have the patience for that."

He shuffled toward his closet, giving a brief stretch, and tugged out a few bits of clothing to go over what he was already wearing. His favorite poncho? A simple cloak? Hmmm... Nah, actually, why not steal something from Kennet's side? His twin wasn't here to contest to it. He nudged his things back into his closet and rummaged through the chests on Kennet's side of the room. A vest, a withered satchel, and a crumpled hip wrap, hmmm... It would have to do, he couldn't keep Aysun waiting, not that he cared too much. He slipped on the the clothes quickly and tied to satchel to his side before turning back to Aysun.

"Alright, now I just need to get some supplies." He muttered, nudging past Aysun on his way out the door. "How much water do you think we'll need for this endeavor? I want to make sure I take enough, but not too much. I need to save some for the rest of the family."

Aysun turned to look over at Samoset for a mometn when he called out for Aysun to 'hold up'. Giving a sigh he turned around to face the other young man, watching him actually hop out of bed before he started to complain. Giving a snort at what he was saying Aysun lifted an eyebrow then laughed, "Of course that would be why I came by, why else would I? I hate to break it to you, Samoset, but you aren't nearly charming enough that I would come here looking to just bask in your presence." He said that in a gentle tone, as though he were breaking terrible news to Samoset.

Crossing his arms over his chest he seemed to think about it for a moment, then gave a slow nod, "I don't mind giving you a few minutes to get ready since I am such a great guy." A declaration that came along with a bright smile. There was just something about poking at Samoset that just filled him with joy, probably because he always rose to the occassion unlike others who just shrugged Aysun's teasing off.

Aysun motioned to Sunshine to walk along with him when he was nudged forward and out of the room, thinking about the actually serious question posed to him. After a moment he said, "You will want at least two water skins. We can refill them when we find some of those water globes if we run out of water, but it should last for a while." He told him. He could be serious when it came to important things and water was certainly one of them. Not to mention that he didn't want to have to listen to Samoset complaining later just because he didn't have enough to drink.

"I wouldn't want you to bask in my presence regardless, stupid." Samoset muttered, rolling his eyes. He didn't need anyone basking in his presence, actually, just some respect and decency. Besides, there was no fun in being constantly fawned over. You could never prove yourself worthy of anything if you always had it handed to you by someone else. Forging yourself through trial and error was the only way you could ever grow as a person. Like a chisel to a rock, pressure and effort were the keys to success.

"Just two? Alright." He replied, making his way toward the storage cabinet. "There should be some in here... Would you want me to bring an extra one, just in case you or your animal entourage might need?"

He pulled the cabinet open and pulled out a set of large water skins, both of which were labeled with an orange S, and turned toward the water canteen to fill them up. He liked to keep his things labeled, in case they were lost and brought back to the village. Once they were filled to his liking, he placed them in his satchel and stretched, before looking to Aysun.

"Alright, if you don't think we'll need anything else, I'm all set." He said, yawning. "I imagine we'll catch something to eat while we're out?"

Aysun gave a laugh, "Good to hear, I'd hate to think me refusing would wound you deeply." He said, glad that despite him having Alkdike blood in him that he wasn't acting all superior... well, yet at least. Give him time to wake up and Aysun was more then certain that he'd end up as annoying as he always was he thought to himself. Aysun followed after Samoset until they reached where the supplies were kept, at which point he squatted down and set to petting Sunshine, making sure to keep the kinfa in a pleasent mood while they were in doors. The last thing he wanted was for her to make a mess, especially not around Samoset. The only one that would be worse then him would be Aysun's own mother, though his various beasts knew to be on their best behavior around her.

Looking over at him he gave a nod, "Yeah, two is fine. Like I said there are various places to get water that I know of between here and where we are headed. Safe water at that." Not like he would drink anything dangerous or anything that animals went splashing around in all day. He knew full well what the beasts did in the water, so he wasn't interested in drinking that, thank you. Giving a smile he said, "It's kind of you to think of them, Samoset, I didn't know that you had it in you. If you want to bring extra for them, feel free. I am not the sort to refuse that sort of aid." Not if it were for his pets.

Once Samoset seemed ready he gave a smile, "Yeah, and if we don't catch anything I have some food packed up for us and the others." He said, headed back out the way he'd come in, waving to the kindly woman that had given him permission to invade Samoset's room while he slept. Once outside he nodded to Sunshine, "Go ahead, I know you're itching to." He said, watching as she hurriedly waddled over to where Maw was laying, hoping up onto his back, taking her usual perch there. He gave a shake of his head then looked to Samoset, "We are still working on the whole flying thing... but she's a bit on the lazy side though and would rather be carried."

Samoset, still wavering out of grogginess, could only roll his eyes at Aysun's reply. Nothing Aysun said could, quote on quote, wound him deeply. Maybe rile him up, piss him off, or make him go absolutely bonkers, but wound him? Yeah, no. Only in his dreams could Aysun hope to hurt Samoset's feelings. He nodded, gave a yawn, and moved to follow Aysun, only to pause as his grandmother waved back to them.

"I shouldn't be too long, tell my father not to wait up, though!" He called.

He coaxed a smile to his face as he turned back to Aysun and watched, curiously, as Sunshine perched on Maw's back. That creature must not be as terrifying as he'd assumed. Jaw... Or whatever Aysun called it, didn't seemed to mind having a bird on it's back at all. Was it not interested in it as prey? Maybe too small to eat or two bony? He sighed and pursed his lips.

"Oh, well, I hope you can get her trained soon." He replied, falling straight into another yawn. "Now, where are we heading exactly? Just, anywhere your heart desires, or do you actually have a plan for the day?""

Aysun walked over to Maw, reaching up to scratch him under the chin, then looked into a big pack that was hanging over his side. After check on the one sleeping inside he gave the little one a fond smile, "Too cute, and so sleepy." He murmured, reaching into the bag to pet the sleeping Radaku pup before looking at Maw, "Good job carrying them around for me, Maw, I really owe you one." He told the big Janarim, something that was answered with a huffing sound, as though the beast agreed that was owed something grand for carrying around not only Sunshine but the pup as well.

Turning to look over at Sam he gave him a smile too, though not the same sort afforded to the radaku pup, "Thanks, I am sure if we work on it she will be flying... eventually. I just have to talk her into it and help her to understand that flying will be as fun as getting rides from Maw." He explained, giving Sunshine a glance but she seemed to be purposefully ignoring him, "Heh, women." He said with a laugh.

Turning his attention back to Sam he gave a sigh, "Of course we have a plan, as much as I would just like to wander about willy-nilly we have things to do. We are heading to the river first. Don't worry, I am sure that it will be fun." If messy, but then again, somehow, bath time always ended up a mess. He wouldn't say that out loud though, not wanting to chase Sam off so quickly. No, he really wanted to see if Sam would be able to keep up with them!

Samoset paused while Aysun seemed to be busy with his pets and dug into his satchel. He hadn't had the time to grab himself some breakfast, but he knew his brother liked to carry a decent amount of coffee beans with him. There were bound to be some in this one if he knew where to look, and sure enough, in a secret compartment lay a sack of coffee beans. Samoset wasted no time popping a few of them in his mouth and chewing, though his face contorted due to the bitterness. He abhorred bitter things, but if he wanted to be alert enough to even listen to Aysun, he'd have to make some sacrifices. Once he swallowed them down, he looked to Aysun.

"Oh, the river? That's not so far." He replied, crossing his arms. "And, Aysun, I could keep up with you with my hands tied behind my back. You have no idea who you're talking to."

Aysun gave a nod of his head, "It does help that you aren't far from the river, it's actually pretty nice." Made the trip from Sam's place to their first destination a pretty easy and quick one. Lifting a hand he patted it against Maw's neck before he said, "Alright, guys, let's get going. Time to get the river!" He started forward, giving a little whistle that started Maw moving forward in time with him. He had been working with Maw for a while now, giving him a lot of extra attention to get his training on point. It was hard, not knowing how the Oban soldiers went about training, but it wasn't as though he could just go up to one of them and ask now could he? He had to instead learn by taking cues from the janarim.

Looking over at Sam he gave him a smile, "Oh, really? Well I will be nice, for the moment at least, and not tie you up, alright? Where we are heading you will likely actually need the use of your hands. Thanks for the offer though." He said, giving a bit of a chuckle before he looked forward, quickening his pace just a little, curious as to what Sam might do if he challenged him to move at a faster walking pace. Would he try to keep up? Would he try to move faster? Aysun was actually pretty eager to see what the answer was, wanting to really get a feel for how competitive the other guy was.
PostPosted: Sun May 10, 2015 12:34 am

Samoset made a face and hid his hands behind his back. He wasn't going to let Aysun tie him up, period. Where was this idiot getting these crazy ideas from anyway? He sighed, though visibly relieved that they were finally heading out, and shuffled to keep pace with Aysun. Honestly, he didn't really feel like running at the moment, and the pace that Aysun was keeping was good enough for him. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that Aysun was going easy on him and gradually allowed himself to be annoyed by that feeling. How dare Aysun insinuate that he couldn't keep up with him and his animals.

How... Dare...

"Alright, this is boring. I'll show you some real exercises!" He snapped, hopping up into the nearest tree. He seemed to pause a moment, as if thinking something over, before grabbing onto a vine and swinging into a tree several feet away. He continued this until he was a few trees in front of Aysun and paused deliberately to see where the other boy was.

"Oi, are you coming?" He called, smirking. "I can almost hear the river from up here!"

Aysun watched as Samoset went rushing on ahead, up into a tree, and even went as far as swinging from one tree to another. His blue eyes went for a moment wide before he started to laugh a bit, "It seems that he's trying his hardest, maybe we should as well? We don't want to just let him run on ahead or else he will probably get an even bigger head on his shoulders." He told Maw then leaned over just a bit, "Are you ready?" The janarim's eyes got a bit wide at that and his clawed feet pawed at the ground a bit in his eagerness.

"Set? Go!" He called, rushing forward as he heard Sam calling out, asking him if he was coming. As he ran forward at full tilt Maw did the best, easily out pacing Aysun, racing ahead toward the river with Sunshine clinging to his back for only a moment before she gave a rather displeased shriek and abandoned her perch. Aysun did his best not to laugh when she fluttered her way down to the ground, running by her, "Come on, Sunshine! Don't be the last one there!" He called back to the orange Kinfa.

There was another angry sound from her before she came shuffling along after him, a sight that had Aysun laughing that much harder. It made running a bit harder for him when he was laughing so much but he couldn't help it, there was nothing better then the sight of watching a kinfa her size waddling along because she refused to fly. Maybe it would help to push her in the right direction he thought to himself, looking from side to side, trying to catch sight of Samoset.
