Things just kept happening so fast now - from the youma to the hat incident to the other cat to - he hadn't imagined it, right? He'd had some sort of fuzzy recollection of her shifting from cat to person. But it had been so surreal, and so many things had been going on at once. Had it been real?
Either way, he'd been in a miserable mess when the girl-cat had plucked him up, said something in ********* voice, and plopped him into her own hat, snug and warm. For a moment, he was dazed, the corners of his eyes still moist and the fur of his cheeks matted with wetness that certainly wasn't tears. Then he finally shifted, poking his head out of the hat so his chin rested on the edge, his eyes wide as he questioned, hesitantly, just to make sure, "*********?"

Mauvian Sailor ********* never joked when it came to food! When she had stated she planned to get some snacks, she had been telling no fibs.
When Nico had finally peered out from her hat, she had already pulled out a stool and was balanced on top of it to reach out for a cookie jar she had put on top of some shelf some time ago. It was quite the balancing act, reaching for potential cookies with one hand while holding a top hat filled with a kit in the other.
Not aware of the kit's plight over her identity, she glanced down to him from behind her simple white mask.
"Yes, Nico?"

Nico licked his paw and swiped it once or twice over his face, a swift, casual groom to try and wipe away any trace of tears - and perhaps to render reality with some more clarity. But no, his eyes did not deceive - this was *********, she was holding him, and she was --
"What - but how - you're so different, " okay, so shock had sort of knocked some of the poetry right out of him. Could anyone totally blame him? The ideal muse of a feline had become a lady! "Not bad different, just - " Like the transformation of a goddess!
Even her aura felt different, even if it still felt the same! It was all so odd!

"Oh, this lil' ol' thing?" Once she had slipped her hands into the cookie jar and secured a couple treats, she pulled her hand back, then hopped off the stool, landing firmly on the balls of her bare feet.
"Well... this one is a relatively new form for me..." Rather than release the treats at hand, she set her hat on the ground so she could reach up and pluck that simple white mask over her eyes off.
"There was some issue with some shards in the park, and the end result is that I can temporarily turn into a senshi-like being... kinda nifty and makes it easier to walk around in the city in a human-like form." Perhaps she was a bit naive, assuming the kit knew more about the different forms Mauvians could take, but she couldn't help thinking that all Mauvians instinctively knew they could take on another form.

Instinct was still coming in bits and pieces for the kit; he hadn't even had the chance to awaken anyone yet, and even then, he didn't completely get what would go into it. He just figured that when he saw someone to awaken, he would know. (Or he hoped so.)
This was something else all together. "You really are like a goddess, " he murmured, his eyes wide. "You take the form that suits you more... 'The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places.'" Which, naturally, was another quote he didn't totally understand. But it sounded good! Either way, his eyes were alight with admiration. "You are as the sun in the heaven, radiant from the first light to the last regardless of the colors you take."
Which might have actually been a decent little literary nugget to pull up - if, you know, it didn't make it sound like she was a dying old woman. Not like he realized it. "What else can you become? - no, that's asking too much - " In a way that said, 'no, please, go on'. Maybe a dove?
