SDRP Member Feature
From its humble beginnings, SDRP has sought to provide roleplayers with thorough mentorship within a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. And, while we are a “school” of sorts, we see our members as more than just students. It isn’t enough to have a passion for the written word or a love for the game; it’s to possess an insatiable desire to improve, to tap into hidden potential, to harness and own the ability to create the impossible. Here, we've witnessed worlds molded, characters fleshed out, and adventures woven more times than we can possibly count--arriving by vehicles of tireless imagination, leaving deep impressions in their wake. They go by many names, but their goal is essentially the same: to tell a story.
But just who are these unsung masters of their craft?
We, at SDRP, would like to finally shed some light on those responsible behind the emerald curtain and show our gratitude by presenting a monthly featurette, dedicated to you, our fellow roleplayers. For we are nothing without you. heart

- Thornwick: Just what is it about roleplaying you enjoy so much?
Dokuro Togiretogire
In short: Imaginary freedom. Allow me to explain why as well. When I roleplay in video games, pen and paper, here on gaia I am who ever I want to be and the only thing that stops me is my own creativity. I play the military simulator ARMA 3 with a bunch of people. A quarter of the times I play with them I put on a role and roleplays with them. It can be a loose cannon or a snob. I like to mix it up for them and when I do I can be whoever I want. While on Gaia and the forum I build the whole world in my mind the way I want it. I see characters do what they do in their post but I build up the world in my mind the same way as when I read a book. It's an endless well of creativity that together create a whole new world to explore.
Thornwick: What are your least favorite genres and why?
Dokuro Togiretogire
Uhm, I do tend to enjoy the roleplay depended on how it is built up. I guess that I do not tend to enjoy school rps that much. I've played a few that was great fun but most school rps are as many teenage movies reruns.
Vampire vs lycan I guess is something that I need a lot from to get a spark of interest from.

Thornwick: Have you learned anything new since joining SDRP?
Dokuro Togiretogire
Uhm, when did I join SDRP? I don't really remember to be honest. Yet of course I have. Every post I make improves me and challenge me. So I can put my finger on something special but I know it's been a big part to help me improve.
Thornwick: Any future roleplays in development you’d care to share with us?
Dokuro Togiretogire
Well there are two small grey specks in my mind. The first is a bike gang rp. Sons of Anarchy. What I'm working on are how to implement it. How the story would go forward and where it should start off. If I should implement World of Darkness elements to it or not. So it's in early alpha.
The other is something I've tried with before and failed with. Modern gladiators in a school rp. Yeah, I know I stated it's one of my lesser interesting genres but It is the only way to make it work in my mind. So you have to two parts of the school (heh many anime influences here). One for rich people and the other for poor people. It will be set some years in the future in an alternative universe where the economics almost crashed completely. So now poor people do a lot more for a stable life. Gladiators live with great risk for their health but the rewards are grand. The rich are much richer. Civil rights still exist but for a rich to be put on trial and found guilty. It's a dystopia and players can either be rich or a fighter. The rich sponsor fighters and own them kind of like you owned gladiators. Without a sponsor it is hard to stay in this school. Training time cost money, gear cost money etc etc. Gladiators win money in their fights so it is possible to graduate without a sponsor but such is rare and frowned upon form the wealthy so such a person would be targeted by the system.

Thornwick: Just for fun: If you could be a car, which one would you be? And why?
Dokuro Togiretogire
A Ford Mondeo. It's comfortable and I see my life as a comfortable life. It is also a safe and full of space. It is very reliable and that I do believe I am towards family and friends. Did I mention that it looks good?
