Name: Tisbe (tis-bee) Age: 15 Gender: female Rank: candidate Appearance: A combination of small stature and a round face often result in Tisbe being mistaken for several years younger than she actually is- and yes, it is a sore spot with the young woman. At the present time, Tisbe has just breached the 5' mark and has a slight frame to match, with slender arms and legs while lacking more womanly curves. Were it not kept short and sometimes shaved entirely, Tisbe has a wonderfully full head of thick, dark brown hair; with its gentle waves, Tisbe would keep it chin-length if she had any say in the matter. Long enough to enjoy it and perhaps style it prettily, but short enough to still be practical. Her eyes are round like her face, bright and a lively hazel with more green than brown. With a small nose and thin pink lips Tisbe truly still looks like a girl rather than a young woman. As expected for one born and raised in a snowy Weyr, Tisbe's skin is fair and she is especially susceptible to sunburns- whether it is winter, summer, windy, cloudy, or any combination. Tisbe's personal style meshes well with the standard garb for both the climate and her rank; the girl is practical to her core, and hugely values comfort and practicability over "fashion".
Personality: Growing up in a household with four children (two older sisters and a younger brother), Tisbe quickly learned to keep her head down and her mouth shut. Tisbe's eldest sister took her place as eldest perhaps a tad too seriously, and had a mean streak that little Tisbe quickly learned to avoid. Predictably, Tisbe is subservient and quiet in the face of authority. She is not without desires and drive of her own, the girl has simply developed the habit of following directions, regardless of the source, because its easier than pushing back to any degree.
That being said- Tisbe's mother was a cook in the Weyr's kitchen, but had received some healing knowledge throughout the course of her life mostly because she had just been in the right place at the right time and benefited from seeing some injuries and sicknesses first hand. Her mother's basic training coupled with candidate boot camp encouraged an interest in healing within Tisbe, but unfortunately the Healer Hall was simply not an option financially. Still, she is more than capable with basic care and can assist with triage when necessary. When it comes to making decisive calls about the nature of a person's injuries or sickness and their truthful likelihood of survival, Tisbe will not waver. Neither blood nor innards make the girl squirm, and hardly anything medical-related will make her flinch or shy away.
Aside from all that, Tisbe is a predictable and consistent creature. She is pleasant and kind, and will bite her tongue when mad or upset. It will take a barrage to elicit any sort of emotional outburst- again, it is just easier to turn inward rather than lash out and deal with the consequences. It would not be far-fetched to use such terms as 'pushover' or 'wimp'. It isn't that she lacks the inner strength to assert herself, she simply chooses not to.
History: Tisbe was born and raised in High Reaches Weyr. Her mother was a cook, and her father was a handyman more often than note ending up with carpentry jobs. Tisbe has two older sisters and one younger brother. Cloistered within the Weyr, Tisbe grew up in relative comfort without ostentatious wealth. She lived her life on a small scale, focusing intently on just the day-to-day rather than paying much attention to the grand scheme of everything happening on the planet. As far as Tisbe knew, she was well-fed, warmly clothed, and her family loved her- that was enough.
Candidate training was predictably uneventful, and it wouldn't be surprising that very few individuals could recall Tisbe's name. Aside from high marks in the first aid portion of training, Tisbe was simply average. Neither poor nor excellent, she did just well enough to escape all attention entirely whether it be positive or negative. But luckily for the girl, that's exactly what W'sa was looking for. The older greenrider found the perfect squire in Tisbe- she never sassed him, was consistent in behavior and mood, and most pleasing to the aged man was her ability to care for his developing arthritis.
Tisbe has been absolutely content with her squiremaster and her education. Slowly and surely, as within all the candidates, a steady excitement grows with each passing day as Sereth's clutch hardens. Tisbe has found herself rather busy of late, though, helping tend to the ill when she is able to; the girl gives all of her free time volunteering in the infirmary and has yet to show any symptoms... yet.

Hiya! Just some pointers for you before we get Tisbe approved!
It feels like Tisbe had an upbringing in a very nuclear family, which would be very unusual for the Weyr (and nigh on impossible with so many children). Although bonding is encouraged to some extent, close families are not. This is partly to discourage ‘dynasties’ within the Weyr, and partly because adults simply don’t have the time to raise a child (or children) without the support of the creche. It’s also notable that many children are rider or wherhandler’s offspring, and that with their high mortality rate it represents the least disruption in their life.
It would be absolutely expected that - as with every child in the Weyr - she would go into Candidate training from pretty much the day she was born, and her education would have always been geared towards preparing her for Candidacy. She would have also been viewed as pretty much equal to any other child in the Weyr - though children will probably pick up on any difference they can, any child from a drudge’s to the Weyrleader’s gets the same upbringing. If she had really wanted to be apprenticed to a Healer, it would have been possible to be sponsored by the Weyr (although possibly only after a great deal of argument and going back-and-forth).
In terms of personality, it would be great to hear more about what she enjoys - what does she do with any spare time? Does she have any hobbies? Likewise, what particularly scares her, and why? What sort of friends does she cultivate? She seems easy to push around - has she been bullied at any point? (that’s something the candidatemaster might not always see) Why does she choose to be so passive, if she has such inner strength of will?
