Sezarra was back at home for a while wince the triplets had been born, she was delighted to have more siblings, all of them were wonderful and it tickled her pink to have a sister as well, she adored her brothers but there was something very special about a sister and Ve had those awesome tiger stripes...maybe she had gotten those from a grandparent or something, she would have to ask her father. A nearby bush started to giggle and hse remembered that sh was supposed ot be the great beast in the shifter families' traditional game of hide and seek. She stalked closer and peeked behind a leaf, growling softly. It was fun to be the bad guy, adn this very game had helped her brother and her survive the war games in the past. Such games were much more serious then this and Vallen would have to learn not to giggle. Perhaps a well aimed tickle attack would help with that.

His sister seemed to be drifting from her task, what kind of beast daydreamed anyway? So as a good brother Vallen giggled pointedly to draw his sister back into the present, this was supposed to be a practive game for real life scenarios, pfft, it wouldn't work if she didn't take it seriously. Apparently his giggle worked, as his sister had started to inspect the bush next to his, he slunk away but was started as he was upended. "GOT CHA." Seze said gleefully. Vallen groaned, admitting "Maybe mom and dad had a point." His sister poked his nose and said, "You bet they do." He swatted at her hands. Then he folded his arms and looked pointedly off in another diraction, planning on playing the silent game for all he was worth. THis worked for about a minute, " I thought the war with Oba was over?"

"Oh it is, they are not the problem anymore, it seemed the war ended just in time for the alkidikes to start a new one." She peered at her brother and notived that his face was turning a bit purple. She set him down gingerly and he curled up with a silver eyebrow raised looking expectantly at her. No wonder her parents had had trouble if she had been this adorable. "Yest I realize that they fought beside us in those awful battles, Dad says they did anyway, but he also says that not all the alkidikes are in this troublesome party of theirs. It seems unrighteous of them to try and tear apart what we worked so hard for. On would think they didn't like peace and quiet at all. Which is absurd from what i Hear of battle. " She saw her brother's disappointed look. "Hey I was a youngling just like you when all of this was happening." As she she and her brother had not partaken in the battle, her father had lived with her away from the main camp, while Kres had been near their mother but outside of the melee. Sezarra had visited the camp once everything had quieted down far enough that her father thought it wasn't of much danger to her anymore.

"But why start a war after we just had one? You think they would be satisfied for a while." He tilted his head at his sister in inquiry. War was bad right, why would some one willingly risk another? What could they possibly want? The trade was booming with interesting things from all directions now and Jauhar was relatively close to everything which in Val's eyes was a fantastic thing, Now the fact that his sister hadn't seen the battle made her somewhat less interesting but that could be forgiven since she had a janarim and she was interesting making up for his sister's deficit.

Even though Seze refused to let him near her, something about the Janarim not liking boys which was totally unfair. She had growled at him though, but of course so would Seze when she was mad enough at him. She had promised to work with her janarim on the "ick boys" issue. Vallen waited impatiently but he also had no desire to be eaten by his sister's pet.

"Well you see these females feel themselves above the rest of us for no good reason that I can see, I can't see that Aisha (thats their goddess which is actually a tree), would have much against earthlings or she wouldn't create hybrids."

"Hybrids?" Her brother interjected a question.

"Half alkidike, half earthling, I'll tell you how when your much older." He scowled at her and she smiled.

"You know I hear that they have started to accost people on the trails, beating on people." It was most unfair. The shifters to her knowledge had done nothing to deserve all of this flack. "Its a load of mammu dung if you ask me."
Her brother made a face, Mammu made a lot of dung, and Seze felt rather proud that she had managed to gross her brother out. Boys were notoriously hard to gross out since they seemed to like such icky things in the first place. She started creeping closer to him while he was distracted.

A slight movement caught his eye and he notived his sister creeping toward him planning an attack no doubt. He held up his hand in front of her face, "Wait." He paused watching her out of ht ecorner of his eyes, she had listened fancy that. "Why don't we go watch them. you know some espionage stuff." That way they could gather information on the enemy, " I bet if we saw their faces, we could pick them out and show them to the elders."

His sisters face had shifted from hunting glare to scowl. This wouldn't be good. He inched away from her waiting for the explosion to happen. She slinked closer to him. She had longer legs and was thus much faster. He made to scramble away but she pounced him.

"You know that would be smart planning," she said.

"It would?"

"If we were both warriors already, unfortunately I'm still a prentice and you are as of yet, still a youngling, thus if we were ever caught, we would be helpless and there is no knowing what they would do to us."

"But mom and dad would save us."

"They would try for sure, but what if they were too late? And even if they weren't we would be grounded all the time."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 22, 2015 10:42 am

"Ew I hate being grounded."
Truth be told his sister had scared him with her description. He shuddered and sidles closer to her for comfort. She wrapped her arms around him and he relaxed some more. What future would this new threat bring? Surely the alkidikes would recognize the folly of attrating the wrath of a tendaji united potentially with the aid of Oba and Matori. Was it that the alkidike didn't have enough land either? Or did they want to fight for the sake of fighting, was there an ultirior motive or something? He hoped that this information would be discovered before the war exploded outward to risk lives. His parents would probably fight, again, go into danger, again. It wasn't fair.

"Come on Vallen." She took her brother's hand. "It's time to pick out biters from the radaku's coats, and my girl needs a good polishing, since the boys likeyou and she doesn't you get radaku duty." She ruffled his hair, it seemed like her little brother liked playing with their "pets" almsot as much as she did but not quite. He seemed to lean toward the weapons classes over anything else, no beast taming little brother for her here, maybe one of her other younger siblings would follow her as she had followed Aunty Lasarra.
They found the gang lounging in the dust. "Looks like they will be getting a bath out of this too. Get the bucket please? I'll go hunt down the soap."

She zipped into the house and grabbed a block of sweet soap. She loved the smell, it reminded her of home and family, it felt right to share it with the other members of the family, and nothing was more attractive looking then a wet radaku.

Val got the bucket and some water, skirting around his sister's janarim who didn't stop staring at him the whole time. On the plus side she hadn't eaten him yet, which was the only point in her favor she was such a bigsour puss. Seze said that boys had been mean to her and that was why she didn't like him, maybe they had hurt her, that wasn't very nice of them. He had done nothing to her though, maybe she wasn't that mart , but he wouldn't tell his sister that, never insult one of her bonded or she would get seriously mad. Unstable sister. He lured Skava over first with a piece of meat, his father's radaku was happy, goofy and still pretty young, his sister's was more clever, and canny...and hard to bathe. Seze should have trained him better, Val snickered and gave Skava the meat.
He brused the radaku with wet moss, then added soap, Skava got that sad look on his face when he realized he was getting a bath. Vallen snickered, "I feel your pain bro."

"The funny part is how you think we can get out of this without us haveing to take a bath after anyway." Seze said as she started to polish her janarim's armor. The janarim in question stretched out and basked in it. Now putty in Sezarra's gentle but firm hands, she was very relaxed as long as her mistress was near. She always felt better after her pet had gotten all the dust out of all the cracks. It took Seze longer to clean the huge janarim then it did Vallen to clean Skava. But he also had to lure Thorvin over and that was much more difficult, he had wrestle him over ignoring the advice his sister popped over her janarim's back. Reinreil for her part looked amused at the trouble he was having.

Seze was trying to be helpful, he would figure it out eventually that her advice would help him with her radaku. Boys could be so stubborn. She hid her giggle and hoped he couldn't hear it before peeking back over at him. He had finallly gotten the other radaku in place, Thorvin looked reproachfully at her. "Don't look at me like that, you need a bath too." She set herself to polishing so she could help pick over the furries after.

When he got a familiar he would make sure they were not this difficult. Thorvin grumbled at him but Vallen was not taking any flak, eventually he dumped the bucket on the stubborn creature, "There almost done." When Val let him go Thorvin shook himself making both shifters chuckle at him. Seze finished up the janarim and let her go frolick, then she and Val started brushing and picking bugs and bits of plant out of both radaku's coats. "Do you think the alkidikes will come after us?"

His sister turned to look at him for a but, thinking he assumed from the pensive look on her face, she looked an awful lot like mother, he thought. He found a pinchy bug and delicately picked it up and flicked it away. "Eck, no wonder why they roll in dust if that is what lives there."

Sezarra chuckled, "Happy you don't have a fur coat eh? Of course they are quite fashionable in the wintry places I hear. You know Iroia says they might take a rip up to Zena, I might join her depending on the result of all this alkidike drama." It wasn't possible for her to leave her family in danger, not with how much she loved them and all her parents had done to keep her safe. She would stay for now, maybe she could meet up with interesting things up there, maybe she could get a mammu or something... then she winced at the thought of all that fur, ugh. That would be so much worse then radaku or janarim to keep clean.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 22, 2015 8:59 pm

"Zena? Isn't that the really cold place?" Now why would she want to go somewhere that sounded so miserable. Must be for familiars, she nodded. "Well sister I prefer warmer, less icey places myself but it would probably be good for you to get out of Jauhar like have you have always wanted and barrringthe alkidike apocalypse we are well on our way to being as safe as possible..for living in the heart of a giant jungle. Mom gets faster and Dad keeps putting on more muscle so I think we will be okay, Dad has Skava too and we can't ignore big brother."

His sister nodded again, and said she would think about it.

They carried on with their work, then bathed themselves, familiars squeaky clean and the days activities had given Sezara and Val much to think about.
