Personality: Alistair is the devil you know. Friendly and kind to friends but he wouldn't go as far as risk his own neck if he knew he didn't have a chance of succeeding and if he doesn't happen to like you, he wouldn't bat an eye if you died. He is manipulative as he learned how to read people though women are considerably harder to read or understand. Along with that, he is extremely sarcastic, and even when he isn't trying to be his tone is always dripping with it. Lastly, Alistair is somewhat unhinged and is extremely attracted to fire to a point of pyromania but unfortunately, he tends to lose control the more he creates them.
Fears: Alistair is afraid of burning any of his close friends alive and he also has something of a self preservation problem as he's afraid of dying.
Bio: Alistair was born to a household of mechanics and he grew up listening to his Grandfather tell him of stories involving heroes, gods and goddesses along with the sound of heavy machinery downstairs where his father worked. Gavin never told him what happened to his mother and has always avoided the subject, there were no pictures of her and truthfully. Alistair hated her guts. While his grandfather and father would tell him that hating his mother wouldn't do him any good and he should simply let it go. He didn't understand why they would cover for her when she had left them. The bad days hit hard when his grandfather died, Alistair knew it was only a matter of time before it happened but he still didn't want to accept it.
Alistair's life didn't get interesting again until after his 8th birthday when he accidentally burned his house down. He didn't know how it started exactly, he found one of his dad's lighter and maybe 5 minutes later the entire kitchen was on fire and the flames kept on spreading. He tried to get his father but the fire followed him until the entire apartment was burning and he couldn't get in his dad's room but he heard him screaming in pain. By the time the door burned down enough for him to break in, his dad was already nothing but a burning corpse. By the time the fire department arrived what he called home was nothing but ashes and all he had left of his home was a damn lighter that he wished he never found.
He wasn't sent to foster care and instead his dad's sister Rowana took care of him, at some point during his stay, she managed to convinced him to tell him what happened that day and when he did. She didn't waste any time to explain what had to be done but she made sure to make him understand who and what he was. He came to Camp Half-Blood 3 years later but he wasn't clueless and instead understood everything, Rowana told him to tell Chiron everything and not to hold any information back as Chiron would be able to understand his situation and help him and the Centaur did.
Weapon: Alistair only carries a Celestial Bronze Dagger but only for emergencies as he tends to use his pyrokenisis for combat a lot.
Fatal Flaw: Alistair is easily distracted and this distraction comes in form of fire, he simply loses himself and just stares blankly at it and it won't matter if there was a warzone behind him. He simply watches the flames dance it's siren song at him.
Curse/Blessing: Blessing - Alistair is the legacy of Hephaestus and he was given the power to create and control fire. (his lighter being an exception along with any fires created or caused by an item created by Hephaestus or his children.) His skin also happens to be immune to any sort of burning not including his clothes but unfortunately the more he uses his abilities the more uncontrollable the fire gets requiring mastery of the art that Alistair is having difficulty with due to his... Mother.
