Aysun was doing a bit of a test run at the moment, seeing which of his pets he would be bringing with him when he finally decided to go South on an expedition to seek out new animals. He knew that he wouldn't be able to stay in Oba or Matori forever, but at the same time he really wanted to go visit those lands. He wanted to see what sort of beasts that they had roaming their lands. If Maw was an indication they must be some rather amazing creatures! Not to mention that beautiful Alol that Samoset had, something that came from Matori it would seem. How he looked forward to being able to go to the new lands. The problem being that he knew he couldn't bring everyone. Some of his beloved pets were older then others, some of them a little lazier. At present he had it narrowed down and he was almost certain that he would only be bringing three of them.

The young man came to a sliding halt, turning around to see who was keeping up with him... and it was pretty much what he expected. As he stopped Maw all but ran into him, the big janarim having no trouble keeping up. Sunshine made it at the exact same time, though that was due in part to the fact that the Kinfa was good at catching rides with others and was currently sitting on Maw's back. Next up was Flower who came to land on his shoulder, complaining about having to fly about in the first place. He should have been able to just ride on Aysun's shoulder or so the little sprite believed. Pulling up the rear were Pembe and Kapila, those who he studied closely before giving a little sigh, "I love you both but I wonder if maybe you should stay home when I go traveling." He mused, reaching out to pet the both of them, not wanting them to feel bad. Did he want to risk bringing his slower pets with him when he went on his trip? Did he want to leave them behind and risk them following him of their own vollition? He wasn't sure at the moment exactly what he'd do, all he knew was that he'd have to figure it out soon enough.

"Alright, how about we all head to the river? We can get something to drink and everyone can rest up before we do some more running around." He suggested to the group before he moved to walk along in that direction, "I think that you should consider using your own wings and feet, Sunshine, you're getting a bit spoiled." He teased his Kinfa. She was getting bigger these days and wasn't able to ride around on the back of the one that she used to ride on when she was much smaller, that being Pembe. No, instead she'd graduated to riding around on Maw. Sure, it was an amusing sight to behold, but he found himself wondering if maybe he should be teaching her to fly or something. Once they got to Tale, perhaps, it had more open space. He doubted it would be easy to teach her in the middle of a forest where she might crash into things. An activity they'd save for later he thought to himself as he led his 'animal army' to the river.

The moment they got to it everyone was rushing forward to get themselves a drink, something that had Aysun laughing a bit, "Take care that nobody calls in!" He called after the group before he moved to catch up with them.

Teiluj sat on the shore as she often had lately. There was so many different things going on lately it was hard for her to not find herself wandering here. Her mother had admitted to setting up a puzzle in hopes Teiluj wouldn't become a healer. Now, it was far to late for that. She had visited Takoda, her lessons had started and now she was on the way to becoming a healer. Pulling her legs close to her body and wrapping her arms around them, Teiluj rested her chin on her knees. Her eyes stared out over the water as her back was protected by the thick trunk of a tree.

The sound of song that filled the air from Starlines whistling had been tuned out by her own thoughts. Images and memories she couldn't quite shake free of. Tao pawed lightly at the water before his head rose, tilting to the side he sniffed, cautious of the approaching animals. It wasn't until the creatures had walked past her towards the water that Teiluj realized she wasn't alone. It was the Janarim that sent fear through her body. She knew well what those creatures were like. But this one was many times larger than the tiny one at home.

Raising slowly to her feet Teiluj attempted to pull herself together. Her body trembled at the sheer number of creatures that had approached. And more to the fact, that she hadn't noticed them. Turning quickly Teiluj darted away as quickly as she could. Without watching were she was going, her small frame colliding with a larger, firmer one. Gasping and taking a step back eyes wide in incredulous panic, she couldn't do more than stare at the part-shifter in front of her.

Aysun was following along after his 'army', wanting to make sure that the lot of them didn't get into any trouble. The last thing that he wanted was for Maw to go charging into the water with Sunshine on his back for instance. He would never hear the end of her shrieking if she were to get wet. It was as he was getting close, and was just opening his mouth to call out to the group once more, when something hit his chest at a fairly hit rate of speed. It was enough to cause him to take a step back, his blue eyes going side, "Ah... huh?" Looking down at the girl standing in front of him his mind started to whirl.

She looked rather... unique, didn't she? What was she thought? The blond hair said Wind Tribe, but they eyes, golden eyes, that was Ice Tribe, wasn't it? There were also the blue jewels to take into account which said Shifter, and those antennae that Alkidike... over all she seemed to be a rather strange girl, one of very mixed blood, though it wasn't as though such a thing could ever bother him. He was of mixed blood himself and his favorite frienemy was as well. If anything this girl was just interesting in his mind... though after a moment he seemed to realize he was starring and forced himself to speak up, "Hello there." He greeted the girl. He had to remind himself that things such as manners were important when dealing with people... at least people other then Samoset. Manners seemed to right out the window when he was in that guy's presence.

"You alright? You look like you're running from something." He said, looking around, wondering if something was chasing her. A beast, maybe? Or a dangerous person? He didn't see anything straight away but that meant... well, nothing really. He knew that the most dangerous things that skulked about the forests of Jauhar did so in a sneaky manner, not wanting to be caught in the act, "Do you need any help?" He asked of her, seeing no reason not to offer her the help if she was in trouble.

Making a small sound Teiluj shifted backwards, her hands raised in half fists to protect her upper body in case the part shifter chose to attack. He was staring back at her! The way his eyes shifted over her body, Teiluj realized it was probably because of her features. He was probably trying to discern what she was. A tinted blush rose to her cheeks as she made another small sound and quickly looked away. Hiding her face behind her hair. Her eyes moving to look at the sudden gathering of animals that had appeared near the water.

Tao!? Where was tao. Panic resumed in the hybrid as her eyes sought out the pale blue hide of her Radaku pup. Ignoring the fact that a loud squawk from what she assumed was from her own Kinfa. Looking up Teiluj realized the nearly full grown Kinfa was heading strait for the Janarim and what appeared to be, a Kinfa riding it? "huh?" Teiluj's body sagged forward as she started at the group her hands dropping aimlessly to her side. Perhaps, did they belong to...?

His voice met her ears and her blush thickened as she turned to look back at him. Pushing the hair that separated them to behind her ear. Trying to give a smile Teiluj could still feel her body trembling as she tried to locate Tao behind any of the other creatures. "Yours?" Teiluj asked straitening her back and pointing towards the 'pack' at the water. "Ah! Tao, my pup he's missing."

Aysun glanced up as he heard a loud squawk that was a distinctly different voice from that of Sunshine. He could never mistake her voice, not when he'd had her for so long, and as he looked toward the new voice his eyes went wide, "Wow, that is a beautiful Kinfa." He breathed, finding himself instantly wondering about it, if it was male of female, where it had come from, and if Sunshine was going to get along with it or not. She hadn't really been around any other birds other then Pembe and he wasn't a Kinfa. Curious he thought to himself before he looked at the girl that was standing there starring at his group of pets, and gave a smile. Seems like she was... impressed? Maybe? Kind of hard to tell.

As she asked him about whether or not they were his he could only give a happy nod, "Yep! All of them and Flower here." He lifted a hand to point at the pink sprite that was sitting on his shoulder, half hidden in his hair. It seemed he was avoiding the unknown Kinfa just in case. While Sunshine didn't want to eat Flower there were other creatures that had tried in the passed, as such Aysun couldn't fault him for hiding.

"Tao?" Aysun asked, a curious look on his face as he glanced from side to side, then looked back towards the strange girl again and asked, "What sort of pup is he?" He had to admit that he was curious, super curious, since 'pup' could pretty well described anything and he was eager to see what sort of pet this girl might have.

"So they wont hurt anyone?" Teiluj asked. Skeptical of the Janarim. Turning when he mentioned a sprite. She had never seem the majority of the creatures that huddled at the water. Turning to look at Aysun and the sprite with watery eyes Teiluj tried to give a smile. "The sprite is cute, oh, Tao is my Radaku. He's just a baby nothing special like any of your splendid ones but, he's still something to me."

Starline had caught sight of the other Kinfa and flew towards it with exited whistling, ignoring the other animals around them. She wanted to play! And there was another bird in the area that could play just like her! Whistling more Starline attempted to goad the new kinfa into playing.

Looking up at her kinfa's actions seemed to ease the tears that threatened to fall. Starline had found a kinfa among them and as usual was attempting to create a game for them to play. She wondered if the other one would even acknowledge the black and green Kinfa.

Aysun gave a little sigh, then shook his head, "I can assure you that none of them are dangerous in the slightest despite their looks." Not that Pembe or Sunshine really looked as dangerous as they did beautiful, Flower was too small to be a threat, and then Kapila... well, she just never screamed scary to Aysun. He knew full well that this girl, like Sam, was probably referring to Maw when it came to which of his pets would hurt someone. He wanted to complain... but felt it wouldn't work, he'd argued himself blue in the face with Sam and the guy still looked at Maw with an unhappy expression on his face given his origins.

The grumpiness he was feeling was gone in an instantly though when she suddenly explained who Tao was. Aysun's eyes went wide with suprise and amazement before he said, "You have a radaku? That's amazing! I have been trying to find one since I was little but with no luck. Maybe you can teach me some tricks at to how you met with yours?" He was curious since one day he meant to finally get a little one of his own.

Glancing toward where Sunshine was perched on Maw's back, up toward the other Kinfa that was whistling at her, then back again he found himself wondering if she meant to play nice or not? Sunshine seemed to be rather interested, watching the older kinfa as it flew around at least, "Sunshine! You should make friends!" He called out to his kinfa. If they chatted maybe she'd get some tips about flying? If nothing else at least Sunshine gave a little chirp before hopping off of Maw's back, walking along the ground for a short distances, then hopped her way up onto some tree roots. She was trying to get closer to Starline in a manner that took the least amount of effort it would seem, something that had Aysun shaking his head, trying not to laugh.

"I worry at times she spent too much time with my Scorra and thinks that she's a flightless bird as well." He told Teiluj, hoping maybe the time with the other kinfa would help Sunshine learn otherwise.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 14, 2015 7:06 pm

Teiluj gave Aysun a quizzical look but quickly caved to what he was saying. He would know if his pets were likely to hurt anyone or not. Flinching back at the expression in Aysuns eyes as he asked about her Radaku. She nodded slowly trying to piece together the strange part shifter. "W-well my mothers... Mamma's Radaku had babies..." Teiluj could feel herself shrink as she spoke. Nervously wanting to take a few steps back. "He's the strongest of the litter but there's a few more back at home..." Teiluj scratched absently at her arm. Trying hard not to meet Aysuns gaze.

Starline continued to chirp, flapping her wings enthusiastically in a way to encourage the other to join in. Flight was the best feeling in the world! Didn't this Kinfa know that!? "Heh Starline hadn't spent any time around any other birds. I had been trying to teach her to fly myself, but it wasn't until we stayed with a hybrid in Tale that..." Teiluj blushed at her excitement. "S-sorry. You probably don't want to hear about this trivial nonsense. You're probably more knowledgeable about all these animals than I am."

Aysun listened closely, waiting for a grand secret to radaku taming to be given to him... only to learn that she had gotten the radaku as a pup from her mother. Another dead end he thought to himself, not sure if this stranger would just give him a pup from the same litter, meaning he would need to find another means in which to get one of them. Not matter, he'd been searching for one for a while now, so what was a little longer? He was in no rush to find a little pup of his own, though he did look forward to it. Giving her a smile he said, "Thank you for letting me know where you got yours, pretty lucky. My family really doesn't seem to have all that big an affinity for animals. They tend to look at me like I'm crazy when they see me with my 'army'."

"Teaching her to fly yourself?" He asked, then seemed to think on that one. What did he know about flying? Of all of those in his 'animal army' it was only Flower who could fly and he did so very differently. Kapila could sort of... glide, so maybe there was something in that? He gave a thoughtful sound before turning to look at the girl who seemed to suddenly trail of in what she was saying, looking a bit flustered. He gave a laugh then, "Come on now, don't silence yourself on my part. I so rarely find people willing to chat about this subject in an amiable manner. As for being more knowledgeable, with all the information I have there is still a ton more to be learned. I will need all the information possible if I am going to take care of them in the best manner possible after all."

Giving her a smile Aysun asked, "Do you need some help finding Tao? I can ask Flower to look around for him, he's a really good scout." He looked at the little sprite who gave a nod of agreement, looking ready to help if she needed their help in finding the Radaku pup, "After we find him, if you'd like, I can introduce you to the others." He motioned to the animals that were currently either drinking from the stream, laying near it, or playing around in it.

Nodding slowly at his thanks Teiluj wrapped her arms around her chest. "I like animals but I think it's to much of a hassle to care for so many. I already had a Kinfa, now a Radaku." Her antenna twitched as she tried to locate the pup through vibrations. It was a futile effort considering all the other vibrations in the forest and the rather large horde not far from them. "Mother had insisted I take Tao she says a radaku would be able to protect me better."

Flapping her wings Starline flew down to make circles around the other Kinfa. Chirping all the while. She wanted to play! Why was this one not playing?

Taken back as Aysun laughed Teiluj blushed deeper. Her own stuttering increased. What was so funny? Tao was missing! Turning to look at him a couple times before looking back to the forest floor. "I-I would n-never be able to care fo-... about so m-many, I stressed over making sure that Starline, my, my kinfa, was being raised properly. And mother had already figured out the needs for the Radaku long ago. Anything else I think I would be t-totally lost. I..." Her sentence trained off again shifting nervously nodding. "Yes please help me... I must find Tao. A-and ok. I'll meet them."

Aysun shook his head, "Not a hassle really, not to me at least." He loved them dearly, so despite all the work it took to take care of them and keep them at peace with one another it was worth it in his eyes. He found himself a touch envious that this girl's mother would give her a pet, his own mother would sort of give him long suffering looks each time he returned with a new pet. Maw though, her reaction to him had been the worst, with Aysun ending up grounded 'for the rest of his life' though it hadn't exactly lasted quite that long.

"Don't worry, we will find your Tao. I would hate to think that a little pup might be out there lost and alone." He said, nodding to Flower who instantly took to the air, zipping away to look around from a better perspective then he could get himself. Not to mention that the sprite was able to move at a speed that Aysun could not. Once his 'scout' was on the job he turned to look at the girl and said, "If you happen to have anything that smells like Tao I can get Maw to help as well... though at the same time while he might be able to track your radaku down he might also scare him, huh?" He glanced over at the janarim a moment, watching the creature stomp about in the shallows trying to kick up something tasty to eat from the looks over it. Giving a shake of his head he said, "Naw, scratch that. I think that we will just stick to the two of us and Flower." He said, started forward, looking around, his blue eyes searching every nook and cranny that a small creature might be able to find his way into.

As he searched around Sunshine watched him, her head tilting to one side, wondering if her boy was playing hide and seek? She was a little torn between the other kinfa, who seemed to really want Sunshine's attention, and her curiosity over what Aysun was doing. Given that he was still within her sight she opted for the former, looking up at the other kinfa once more and gave a little chirp in response. So long as Aysun was close by the kinfa saw no reason not to chat with the other one from her current perch.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 15, 2015 9:41 pm

Teiluj was quick to join in the search, even though she remained rather leery of the large group of animals. Tao wasn't one to pick fights or approach other animals so it was certain that he wouldn't be in that bunch. The main reason she was avoiding the group. "Tao never goes far from me. But we have a Janarim at home. That large beast is mean."

Cupping her hands around her mouth Teiluj called out to her Radaku as she walked around. Pausing as Aysun asked for something that belonged to Tao. She gave him a puzzled expression. She didn't have anything that belonged to the pup. They played with whatever it was they could find. Nothing smelled like him that she knew of. Not that her nose could even compare to the strength of animals. Sighing when he seemed to correct that and decide not to call Maw for help.

Her heart shuddered as she listened to a soft pining in the distance. Rushing towards the sound Teiluj paused, just a strange insect mimicking the sounds of a baby animal. Shivering and back up a couple steps Teiluj preferred to search in a different direction. Calling out again her eyes worried as she lifted large leafs and pushed fungus out of her way.

Starline called out again soaring up to the sky and diving towards Sunshine before landing chirping a few times before taking flight again. There wasn't much room to fly near the forest floor and she wanted Sunshine to follow her towards the canopy to experience sun on her wings.

Aysun gave a thoughtful sort of sound in his throat, "Mean, huh? I wonder why." He mused about it for a moment before he glanced toward Maw. He supposed that the creatures had their reasons, but at the same time he had to admit he'd rather that they acted more friendly. If they were too grumpy they might get a bad reputations, not something they needed since they were already disliked due to being 'Oban Beasts'. They should really consider trying to be more friendly so as not to risk worse being said about them... not that they knew that. They were smart but not quite that smart, he knew it, but it didn't meant that he wouldn't worry over them.

Turning back to Teiluj he said, "I'd be interested to know the story about how your family came to meet a janarim." His had been a special case, was their janarim the same? Or was theirs special as well? How he wanted to see the janarim as well as this girl's radaku. He had to focus though, he had to see about helping her find her missing pup after all. Just as he was thinking that he heard a familiar voice, that of Flower trying to get his attention. He blinked a couple times, then glanced toward Teiluj, "I think that Flower might have found something. Shall we go check?"

Turning toward the sounf, wanting to go and see what it was that Flower had found. Hopefully it was something good as opposed to him making a fuss before something dangerous was creeping about. He started in that direction, a curious look on his face.

The moment he started forward Sunshine gave a squawk of displeasure, hopping down off her perch to the ground, watching Aysun as he started to walk away. She then set to looking between Aysun and the other kinfa, looking uncertain about which of the two she could follow. She couldn't quite follow the other bird, could she? She couldn't even fly... as such she gave a couple whistles before she took a few steps after Aysun, glanced toward the kinfa again to while, inviting her on the walk.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 18, 2015 9:47 pm

Lifting a branch to peak under it Teiluj looked over her shoulder to catch a glimps of Aysun. "I don't think the story of my mother bringing home stray animals would be all that interesting. I don't think she understands the enormous amount of attention a single one requires." Teiluj had her hands full only looking after Starline, now she had Tao to worry about. That already took up a fair bit of her time. Time she wished she could use for studying her magic to name something. At the mention of flower's discovery, Teiluj's antenna rose slightly, her interest piqued.

With a swift nod Teiluj dropped the branch and moved quickly after Aysun. "Tao might growl at first if it's him. I think he prefers to be more wild than tame." Walking beside him Teiluj scanned the area for the tiny sprite. Not accustomed to flowers size. It wasn't until they had arrived that Teiluj noticed the small creature. Giving a nod Teiluj dropped to her knees only to be tackled by the Radaku.

"Tao!" Teiluj exclaimed happily. Wrapping her arms around the clumsy pup.

Starline gave a longing pitiful whistle as Sunshine started walking away. Didn't this Kinfa know it could fly? Walking was such a hard thing to do. Squawking to get the colored Kinfa's attention Starline grew agitated. Kinfa should fly not waddle like the two featherless creatures! Taking flight Starline landed in front of Sunshine her wings outstretched as she whistled and chirped. Flapping her wings and lifting off the ground whistling again.

"No? Well, you never know, the stories can be interesting at times." He'd had some fun adventures after all when it came to meeting his various pets. He wouldn't push it though, she didn't qite look as though she wanted to tell him the story. It was when she gave a happy cry of the radaku's name that Aysun actually sped up his steps, wanting to get a peek at the little radaku pup.

He had but a moment to try to look him over before Flower came flying over to him, coming to sit on Aysun's shoulder, chirping in a manner that said he was pleased with himself. It was something that had Aysun chuckling a bit, "Yes, yes, you did a very good job, Flower, thank you for finding the little one. You really are a great scout." He praised Flower, giving the Sprite a smile, then lifted his hand to giving him a gentle pet on the top of the head. After making sure the little sprite was fine he turned his attention back to the blond girl once more, "Glad to see that your little pup is alright."

Leaning forward a little to get a good look at the little radaku before he smiled at them both, "Wow, he's quite adorable, isn't he? Much smaller then I was thinking he might be as well. Too cute! Isn't he adorable, Flower?" The sprite gave a little chirp and a nod of agreement.

Sunshine took a couple more steps after Aysun before her attention went back to Starline once more, starring up at her, before giving a flap of wings. She did so only to show him that she wasn't a flyer, she was a walker... or better yet one to catch a ride on Maw when she could. She was about to continue forward when Starline came to land in front of her. Sunshine blinked a couple times, giving a chirp, before watching the other flap her wings and take to the air again. Impressive, but nothing Sunshine had ever done before... due in part to being a bit on lazy and spoiled by Aysun.

She supposed it wouldn't hurt to try though, right? With that thought in mind she gave a little flutter of her wings, hopping in place a couple times before watching Starline once more.
