Ah, the morning hours, just as the moon was setting and the sun was rising. There was a beauty to the shifting sands in that hour, one that brought the Queen of the Pride to stand still in cool oasis water. letting her paws rest for a moment's time. She'd found such a comfort in the world of the moment, far away from anything save the perils of time. Taking a breath in, Jen reveled in the silence, letting her own lack of hearing wash over her like a soothing wave. Calm. All was calm...

Zehoret was, for all intents and purposes, up far too early for her taste, but she'd slept poorly and the small lioness crept from her den to walk the sands before they became too hot, and considered the rising sun. Ideally, the female could try hunting sleeping prey at this hour, but instead opted simply to walk, scenting the air lightly as she moved, sighing softly. She was tired and not yet awa, but it was soothing out, and at least she wasn't afraid.

Jendayi saw the lioness far before she scented her, eyes lighting up at the idea of company near by. Her tail flicked once and she lept to the bank of the water. Trotting across the expanse, she enjoyed the feeling of the grains beteen her paws and claws, a smile widening her maw as she approached, "Morning!" The lioness had a great deal of energy to her, a brightness to her eyes and step, as she moved towards Zehoret, "Sleep good?" Gods, she wished that her speech were better....that she'd not lost her hearing. They did as they saw fit, however...and so she would oblige.

Zehoret paused seeing another approach, and nodded her head respectfully, smiling softly. "good morning." she said softly, smiling. "i did, and you?" No sense juing one's speech, after all.

The young female nodded her head in response to Zehoret's words, content to allow the other her space, so long as conversation could continue. Settling herself against the sand, she watched the other Lioness' maw, curiously, wondering just what to say, how to answer the question posed to her. "I did. Gods willing, will stay that way." Came the stunted words, a bit heavy on her tongue as she bent down to let her tongue pull a few mouthfuls of cool water in.
