Asher was absolutely terrible with girls. He was reminded of this every single time he passed one and felt immediately flustered at the first sign of them even noticing him. His cheeks flared up, his mouth became instantly dry, and his wings fluttered involuntarily. He became an absolute mess. In his brief history with women the only one he'd ever been able to talk to was Nel. Fantastic, beautiful Nel. He sometimes forgot about her, which seemed strange. They'd been friends all throughout kithood but then grew up and grew far, far apart. 'If only she'd taught me how to talk to real women before she disappeared' he thought a bit bitterly, continuing his laps around the mall.
Yes, the mall. Asher didn't normally like to go to the mall but he figured today was as good of a day as ever for a change in scenery. Besides, the mall was a great place to meet others! Wasn't it? That's what he thought, at least - he could use a friend or something, anything. Spending his days alone was getting rather boring, and he could feel himself growing bitter because of it. That, he recognized, was not okay in the slightest. Twitching his tail nervously, he glanced around for someone that might look the least bit friendly and open to greeting.

Oir had always had been alone and was getting tire of it. She would become depressed at the sight of the beautifully happy couples or mated families. She gave a sigh when she would see the kits run around with their parents. "I hope for a family such as that one day..." She said with a dream like smile then shook it off. She didn't go to the mall to watch others as they passed by, she came to the mall to meet some new people. She was hoping to find someone that she could talk to easily, but she always wanted to help those around her. Maybe it was fate that day? "I should fine ze shoe shop." Oir spoke as her slight accent began to slip as she walked around to find a shoe shop. She needed a new pair since her others ones seemed to have become worn out from all the walking she had done in the last few months.

Asher had been glancing around, his gaze non-committal, when he was forced to do a double take. His eyes had caught a stunning creature of gold and black making her way swiftly, assuredly through the crowded mall. She also seemed to be observing the other mall-goers as she made her way, and Asher couldn't help but to notice that she was alone. He took a deep breath, hoping to the gods that she wouldn't be bothered, and strode off toward he female.
"Excuse me, miss?" He cringed, calling out to her as he drew nearer. 'Miss? Really?' Chiding himself wordlessly, he glanced at her once more. "My apologies, I'm just, uh... I'm lost," he blurted out. His eyes grew wide as he realized what he said and struggled not to physically hit his forehead with his paw for being so dumb. "Lost? Exactly where is it you're going? Idiot." Asher could've sworn he had thought that last bit in his mind, but in reality it came out softly, under his breath. His eyes widened once again with alarm. "Oh, gods, I'll be leaving now," he muttered out quickly, not daring a glance at the beautiful female.

Oir heard the voice, but it sounded unsure and confused. She looked to find a stunning black and red male fox. She blinked a few times when he began to speak to her. "Yes, my dear?" She asked she gave a light smile. She enjoyed meeting new foxes. "Lost? Ze mall always seems to be a place to get lost." She agreed with him as her ears drooped a little. She noticed his eyes go wide as if he was trying to leave. "Please don't go, I enjoy ze company of another." she said shyly as she reached out towards him and grabbed hold of his paw. "You can accompany me to get some new shoes and maybe we can get some lunch at ze food court?" She asked nicely, hoping he wouldn't say no.

Asher had begun to walk away when the female grabbed for his paw, stopping him in his tracks. "Oh, uh..." he glanced down, then looked back up at the striking female. "Shoes and food? That sounds... pleasant. Very, very pleasant." He nodded, taking a deep breath. This wasn't so bad! She even seemed nice. Asher didn't honestly expect her to be nice on top of stunningly beautiful. Like the cherry on top of an already delicious Sunday.
Realizing they were already more acquainted to each other than he was used to, he chuckled a bit, embarrassed. "Asher. My name is Asher. What might yours be?" His childhood friend Nel had never quite told him how to progress this sort of thing. It felt awkward, and he honestly couldn't imagine it going well. But, he was trying, at least. That's all he really could do, right?
