Yami had been trying to keep a brave face around her boys and her daughter Demi, but it had been hard. The looks for their father...the questions sometimes about why dad wasn't around much any more or where he might have gone off to were heart breaking to her...she didn't know. For all she knew he was dead or run over or taken in by a new human family that was doing a very good job of keeping him from going out side again. She knew he would have found her by now if he could get out side or if he was alive even. But he hadn't been back in months...She didn't know what was happening but she knew that he was not going to come back to her any time soon...she knew that maybe...just maybe....he had stopped loving her...what if he couldn't take the big family they had now? The lives they had made becoming too hard on him. She wasn't sure, she wasn't sure if he had taken Jimmothy with her too or not but she missed them both so much. She tried to keep busy, tried to keep the information from her boys and Demi but it was hard on her.

Today though she was needing new things for her projects. More screws and bits and pieces. New wire and plastic parts. She was headed over to the junk yard across town and was keeping an eye out for anything along the way that might be useful for her. Her long dark hair fluttered about in the breeze as she walked along, hand resting on her guns at her side. She glanced all around and hoped to stop near the art store on the way home to get some paints too.

She saw the junk yard up ahead of her and knew she would be there soon. She looked around as she got to the four way crossing ahead of her. She stood near the bushes on the corner and looked around for cars before sprinting across the street and working on climbing the fence into the junk yard.

Digging into junk was probably about as enjoyable as getting your tail caught in a door. But he was doing it today for a very specific reason. He picked up an old metal piece. He wasn't sure what it was, and he rotated it in his hands as he looked it over. Lifting the spoon he had found earlier, he gave the metal a good rap. He frowned when it didn't produce the sound he was looking for.
He was rather good at building pretty good equipment. But he was pretty picky too. If it didn't give the sound he was looking for, it was not useful and he wasn't going to try. He flung the metal back into the heap, digging further down.

Tommy had been a stray all his life. He'd been collared by a child, but he'd never known what it was like to live in a home. It had been hard to get the collar, that he had assumed was probably too small for him, off. It had near choked him as soon as it had been clasped together. Which lead to his hatred of people in general. Unable to eat or breathe very well for a good few hours until he managed to get the thing off. He still wasn't sure how he had done it, but he didn't much care. He'd never had family, he'd had romances, and he'd had friends... But he lived on his own, and he liked it that way.

He lived in the junkyard, finding pieces that he could use to create his musical equipment. He wanted to start a band.. and a band needed instruments. Or at least, that was what he told himself. He hadn't thought maybe the right people just hadn't come to town yet.

The bengal cat's tail flicked behind him, his ears flicking backwards. He frowned, throwing himself backwards to lie into the heap. He was finding nothing today, and it was frustrating. He didn't have the patience to keep it up either. He had a bit of a temper, and he didn't do well reigning it in. He took the spoon, and chucked it forward, watching it soar through the air and disappear somewhere he couldn't quite see.

Yami was slipping down the bars into the junk yard and was happily looking around for the area where she thought she would find the things she needed most. She headed towards the car area and was going to look about in the lights of the cars for the wires she wanted and needed when she heard the sound of something being thrown. Instinct had her pulling her gun into her hand and looking around. She didn't like getting in fights but she had 6 kids to take care of and needed to stay alive so she would never lose a fight, she would do everything she could to always go back to her kids.

She sniffed the air and looked around, golden eyes scanning things. "Is there anyone here?" she asked as she looked around, her gun following the trail her eyes ran through the stuff infront of her. She wasnt sure what she was going to see or who she might find here but she wouldn't let them hurt her if they were dangerous. She walked towards where she thought the sound might have originated from.

The voice his his ears, and he flicked them backwards again. Oh how he hated company.. He frowned, but stayed down where he was. He could hear her footsteps. She was quiet, and had she been further away he might have missed the sound. But she was close, and when she neared him he was able to look her over.

She looked dangerous, wielding the gun with a face that told him she had every intent to shoot him.
"Guns? Getting a little serious now aren't we?" He asked, still lying back. Though that's when he sat up, tail flicking agitatedly side to side. Hazel eyes glared back at her.

"Anyone ever tell you how rude it is to barge into someone's home... and raise a gun at them?" He asked, arching an eyebrow. This was a first. He'd had many search him out for a fight, but a chick with a gun was the last thing he might have expected. He pulled his real drumsticks out of his pockets slowly. Clutching them in his heavily tattooed hands, he was ready to defend himself. The drumsticks might not have looked like much, but they were pretty deadly in the tom's hands.

Yami moved hand an eyes towards the voice that answered her and she looked over the tom cat, taking in his look, his hair tattoos and his breed all in one glance. She looked around for a moment when he said home and raised a brow, her lips curling up in a smirk. "I didn't think anyone called this place home. I have been coming here for almost a year to get parts for my projects and didn't know someone was living here." she said as she watched him pull the drum sticks. She took one hand off the gun and raised the gun to the side and then slid it back in her hand made holster. She had made the gun for the most part too. "There. Put it away as long as you don't mind me getting what i need and leaving. With out you hurting me." she said as she stood back and crossed her arms.

She watched him, ready to go for any one of the various tools she had on hand should he turn on her now that her gun was aside and was not threatening him. "Cant blame a girl for keeping her self protected can you? Besides most junk yards have guard dogs on site so you could have very well been a dog who might try to eat me or a human or a crazy cat who might leap at me and fight me as soon as he saw me." she said with a smirk as her eyes scanned everything around them both real fast to make sure that he was alone.

"Just shows you how good I am." He said with a roll of his shoulders. He wasn't overly social, he'd never really been good at talking. No he preferred to get his words out in music. That was his outlet.

He arched an eyebrow, unmoving or speaking when she holstered her gun. It was a few moments before he spoke, and he put the drumsticks back into the safety of his pockets. He still didn't trust her, but it wasn't going to exactly be hospitable to wield his weapons when she didn't have one. He was a rat, but he was hardly THAT much of a rat.

"Depends on what you need, and if it's useful to me or not." He admitted, looking back at her, his eyes curious. "Won't hurt you over it, anyway. Might tell you no though." He stood, his shorts falling to his hips, the blonde in his hair bright in the sun.

He smirked a little, a small chuckle escaping him when she said what he could have been.
"You could consider me a Junkyard Dog. I'm about as mean as one." Truthfully she was lucky she was a girl. Another male in his territory would have pissed him off.. He could tolerate a female, at least for a little while.

"You've caught me in a good mood." He strode towards her, his hands in his pockets. When he moved to stand in front of her, his arms crossed.

"What are you looking for?" He asked, arching an eyebrow.

Yami laughed and smirked at him as she shook her head softly. "Maybe it shows how good i am that you never noticed me getting my stuff i needed before now." she said with a smirk. She looked around and nodded.

"Just need some wires, some bolts and maybe a few nuts. Hard plastic cover kind of stuff i can use. Not much. What are you needing all this stuff for? Are you making things too?" she asked him as she looked over the male again as he moved to stand infront of her.

"I do not want to take things you need too but maybe i can help with some of the stuff if your having a hard time doing something." she said as she looked over his many tattoos, admiring the art. She only had the fire one on her arm but she wanted a few more at some point.

He shrugged again. He wasn't really one to have any manners.. Nor was he the type to really give anyone any sort of praise, Not really. "It's a big junkyard." He responded simply. Which was true, it was no small yard. Though he'd never smelled her here before, so she had gone under his radar.. He still wasn't going to tell her so.

He was reluctant to answer her question. He didn't like giving much away about himself. His usual interactions dealt with bedding the ladies, and that was about it. He made no motion to make friends outside the bedroom..

"I don't think you can help me, unless you know how to make a bass guitar." He answered. Which wasn't entirely the truth, he needed a new drum set too. He'd beaten the other so badly that it no longer gave him the sound he'd been looking for anymore.

"I wouldn't let you take things I needed, believe me." He answered, and shrugged.
"Suppose I could help you find what you need."

Yami smiled as she turned and headed towards the cars. "Well the wires i like most are normally inside the lights on the cars. So i don't know that a guitar will use these wires. But if you have an image and tell me what i need and how you want it looking i can sure make something." she said as she leaped gracefully down the piles of trash towards the nearest car. "I made a functioning mechanical arm for one of the male kittens that were saved from the facility a few years ago. And that has to move like a hand. So how much harder would a guitar be? My sons can help me if you dont mind." she said as she got on her knees and used a screwdriver to pry open the cover on one of the cars lights.

"A drum would be easy enough. I have everything i can think of for one of those at my place except the top part. Im an excellent painter too so i can color and paint what ever yo might want on them." she said as she reached in and pulled out the parts with the wires and began taking what ones she needed. "Do these look like anything you need? Can i have them?" she asked with a smile as she shook her chocolate locks from her face and smiled at him. "If you happen to see any bolts or long screws let me know too please." She said as she piled the wires on the hood and went to the next light.
