The young stallion breathed a sigh of relief. He'd just gone to great lengths to absolutely ensure that neither of his sisters had followed him. He loved them and would go to the ends of the world for either of them, but they were a little much for him to handle sometimes! He had to hand it to them, though. They were strong, independent mares and he had to admire them for that. He felt a sense of pride in them that they neither needed nor wanted his protection - not that he'd let that stop him from giving it if it really came down to them being in trouble. And he fully intended to give his full opinions of any stallion they thought to bring home! He would just do his very best to be objective, to the extent a brother CAN be in such matters.
He trudged loudly through the thick underbrush, not one for grace or subtlety. His sisters teased him mercilessly for his clumsiness, though he failed to see it himself. As a branch swung back and smacked him in the face he could hear Butter and Allie's laughter in his ears and he sighed loudly. Would he never truly escape them? Even for an afternoon? Ah well.
It was warm, the sun was shining through the newly unfurled leaves, Dobby was feeling pretty good. He could hear the small waterfall already, and sped up in anticipation. He knew it fed into a small, clear pond that was lined with large, flat rocks. It was the perfect place to relax for an afternoon of swimming and sunning oneself on the rocks. He grinned, anticipating the warm rocks and the calming rush of the waterfall.
It wasn't long before he broke through the thick vines and plants at the edge of the secluded area. It'd been a season since anyone had been here! At least from this particular spot. He was happy to find it empty and undisturbed and wasted no time in plunging into the cool waters. It was perhaps a little colder than what was comfortable, but after the long hike through the woods and fighting against all the new growth, it was well worth a bit of coldness to wash away the sweat. He took a breath and dunked himself fully in briefly, then came back up and squirted water through his teeth and giggled happily. He shook his mane out and splashed around with his front legs, making quite a ruckus. He didn't care; who was around to hear? He was far too busy enjoying his freedom.
He eventually calmed himself and floated for a bit, then climbed out and shook himself off, then settled onto a sunny rock to relax. The sun was warm on his dark flank, and the water ran off of him and down the rock which had a slant to it that let the water drain back into the pool. He closed his eyes and just let himself feel warm and content.

The sun was out and bright, warm, and he was happy to settle into the grass and enjoy the heat against his yellow body. He had missed the warmth of spring and summer and was happy to enjoy it again. The winter had delivered much snow - too much snow. It was gone now and flowers were in bloom, grass was green and leaves on trees had unfurled and Ostara was glad to be out and enjoying what nature offered.
The rocks pressed to one side of him was very nice, relaxing, and the sound of water was soothing as he let violet eyes drift closed and his head came to lay against the grass. Oh, how he'd missed the warmer times of year and all that it brought with it. The scent of the flowers and the sun beating down on his sunny form.
He had been there, silent and hidden by rocks and his own large form so huddled down as sleep tugged at his conscious, but hearing someone else and the splashing which accompanied someone entering the water his head lifted heavily and his eyes parted slowly and with great effort.
Hidden by a wall of rocks, which was pressed to his side, he couldn't see who had arrived but he did slowly and with effort, as he didn't want to get up, he stood and now taller he was able to look over the rock wall he'd been leaning against and spied the male. Well, they certainly seemed to be doing similar to himself, though he hadn't gotten into the water at all. Should he interrupt them? Would they notice him? Did they want company? Figuring it best to stay silent he did just that but he did watch the other as he was curious about them.

Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry for the bit of a wait! He let out a relaxed sigh, the sun warming his dark flank pleasantly. He'd just about dried off now and had only dozed off for a moment. He began to stretch lazily, his eyes closed as he bent upwards, the sun blazing on his face through the trees. He shook himself off again, though no more moisture clung to him, letting his silver mane fly about him. He stopped suddenly, his hair flying out around him before settling on his shoulder. He had spotted the other stallion watching him and stared back uncertainly. Was he watching him sleep? Or did Dobby blunder into someone else's secret place? He felt incredibly foolish. "Er, sorry, did I disturb you?" He stayed where he was, not sure what to do. Should he approach? Should he leave?

Hearing the voice call out the bright colored soquili stood up slowly, reluctantly. Shaking himself off, to remove anything which might be clinging to his body he turned his eyes to the other then.
"You're not disturbing me - I assure you." He stated in a deep, though calm, voice while his tail flickered behind him. "I was enjoying the sun and the warm rocks. They feel amazing." Oh, did they feel every so amazing against his body. So nice and warm it was enough to lull one to sleep very quickly. Violet eyes looked over the other as he made his approach, slow but with a certain energy pouring off him, something excited about anothers company.
"I don't mind the company either, if you want to talk and enjoy the warmth together." It would give him someone to talk to and that would be good. "I spent all winter hidden away and alone." So it would be nice to see and talk to another finally.

He let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding, relief flooding him at not being kicked out of the peaceful spot just yet. A smile crept across his face until he was beaming at the other stallion. Dobby hadn't realized just how much he had craved company until that moment. Much as he had wanted to escape his sisters/ company, he was so used to the loud, constant buzzing of others around him that he had begun to feel just the tiniest bit lonely as he'd lied there sunning himself.
He was also a little more excited than he'd care to admit that here was another stallion. He so rarely got to enjoy the company of other males that it seemed a rare treat. He approached the other casually, trying not to look so eager to stay. "My name is Dobby, by the way. Truth be told I'm glad for some company as well. Do you live around here? I suppose you must, since you just told me you've spent all winter hidden away and alone; I'd imagine you were hidden nearby if you hadn't run into anyone else." He stopped and blinked suddenly, realizing how much he was rambling. Did he always talk this much? Butter and Allie were always either interrupting or ignoring him... maybe he was truly annoying. He hoped not! He needed to have a conversation with one or both of them to figure this out.
In the meantime, he was being rude to his new friend. "Sorry, I don't mean to babble. I'm from a large family and I guess if you aren't talking a ton you never get heard." He shrugged casually. "But I AM curious to hear all about you. It's rare I get to meet anyone outside of my family."
He dipped his front hoof into the water again, enjoying the coolness in contrast to the sun baking into his dark flank. He was thankful that at least his mane and tail her light so he wasn't baked completely in the heat. Summer was approaching fast and he had a feeling it was going to be a hot one. "Why were you hidden all winter, anyway?" He looked back at his new companion curiously. He supposed his family unit was large enough that they generated their own heat and didn't need to do much beyond foraging in winter. He sometimes wandered off himself and found caves to keep warm in- though that can be dangerous as the caves were often occupied. He'd been chased off by a few predators himself who were unappreciative of his sudden intrusions. He wondered vaguely how he'd managed to survive to adulthood and shook his head wonderingly.
