Winter turned to spring easily, with nothing more than a few showers to announce it's arrival. Liena, once again, found herself at the park. Snow and cold meant that she spent all of winter running and training at the DCU track or in an indoor gym. There was still a chill in the air, but it was a little price to pay to be outside again. She spent an hour at the park after dinner most days when it wasn't raining. Running in the evening was odd, but there were less people around on the walkways. Liena liked it. Today was no different than other days, and when she finished, there was a sheen of sweat on her skin.
Liena pressed her towel to her face and took a deep breath. Now that spring was here, the days were getting longer. A week ago, the sky was pitch black when she finished running. A week from now, the sun might still hang in the sky. For now, the sun had disappeared beneath the skyline of Destiny City and it was not yet night, but also not quite dusk. The perfect time for a little exploration.
Since awakening, she had taken to walking the city in her powered form when she could. As a Sailor, she could see parts of her home that she'd never known before. Her hands closed around the henshin pen and Liena embraced the power flowing through her. When she opened her eyes again, she was Liena no longer. Sailor Iphigenia stood ready.Silverah should be all fixed now o7

Astrophyllite had passed a full year since her awakening with relatively little ceremony. The new medal pinned to her chest - a service bar, one year, signifying both seniority and lack-thereof - felt too heavy. She should have been good by now, she thought, indignation burning in her throat. She'd done all of her preparation and just - she just needed it all to happen already. She was impatient with this energy-collecting evil minion life. The longer she stayed with the Negaverse, the more of a chance there was that some terrible retribution for what she and Atë did in the rift would strike her down... It was all pretty dire, and the ironic part was that until all her plans came to fruition, she had to keep up with her quotas and be as good as possible. If anyone became suspicious of her, well... She'd be ********. To put it eloquently. There was energy in her pockets, nearly a whole week's quota's worth, and Astrophyllite was trying her best to be careful. Losing that would not only set her back - it would be disrespectful to everyone she'd drained from. She'd been cautioned about carrying so much at once, but honestly, it was hard to find times to drop it off. Her activities had very little oversight. (Which was how she had time to plan for her own purification, really.) So, you could probably guess that it was to her dismay when a senshi aura suddenly appeared nearby. It wasn't anyone Astrophyllite recognized - fresh linen and bright, bright silver, with an aftertaste of blood - and that made her wary. She knew so many nice people who were Order. She very much wanted to be Order. But there were also knights who flipped tables and threatened to kill you. That was a thing. She'd seen it. She pressed herself against the wall of the alley and concentrated on making herself very small and waited for the senshi to go away. She did not like that taste of blood at all.

The feeling of chaos brushed against her skin and sent a shiver straight up Iphigenia's spine. She had not been a senshi long enough to learn to fear Chaos, and so without a moment's hesitation, she followed it. The trail led to a ways outside of the park, to a dark alley lined with red bricks. And, something else. If the pink hair and odd uniform didn't give the girl away, the energy signature surely did. Iphigenia narrowed her eyes and raised her hand so that the other girl could clearly see the pale silvery orb of power that sat in Iphigenia's palm.
"Well, look what we have here."
If it came down to a brawl, Iphigenia was confident in her own abilities. But someone looking for a fight wouldn't hide themselves in an alley. She waited to see if the girl would offer any more information, maybe justification or an excuse.

Astrophyllite looked up, her hands clenching. She'd tried. Oh, she'd tried to will this girl away just by thinking about it, but it didn't work. It never worked like that, did it? You couldn't just think the bad guys and the dangerous people away. "What do we have here?" she asked quietly, lowering her hand and reaching carefully through the shadows. She couldn't miss the silvery orb that glowed in the senshi's hand - not when she showed it off so. It was some sort of spell, she guessed, some senshi magic held at ready. Astrophyllite had plenty of experience with senshi magic, and she knew that she needed to defend herself against it. Her fingers closed around the handle of her club. Hit her and escape, she thought, and then that darker instinct she tried to ignore whispered, hit her and bash her brains in until she is dead. No, thought Astrophyllite firmly. She would do the former, she decided, and hauled her club around, swinging at the senshi and propelling herself to her feet.

She saw the arc of the blow almost as soon as she saw the mace emerge from the shadows. A life time of athletics and a heady dose of instinct allowed her to dodge by a hair's breadth. The mace flew over her head. If that hit had connected, she'd be out cold. As it were, her back hit the wall of the alley, and Iphigenia smiled. She thought the girl would have run, but this was better. Iphigenia was never one to back away from a fight.
"You swing like a slugger, gonna have to be a bit faster than that!"
With a small shake of her head, Iphigenia leveraged herself off the wall and sprung forward towards the captain. She summoned her magic again and called out: "Aulis' Promise."
This time the magic in her hand flew straight at her enemy's stomach.Silverah Aulis' Promise Iphigenia makes a small ball of energy filled with swirling silvery-light in her hand and fires it at an enemy causing damage akin to being hit by a paintball. Upon contact, it shatters and dissipates. The strength of this attack becomes stronger the more blood Iphigenia has lost. A Class I hemorrhage feels like a close range paintball shot, while a Class II hemorrhage feels like getting hit by a large rock. She gains a power spike about every 2 cups of blood she's lost, but will not get any power increase beyond a Class II hemorrhage. She can use this attack four times in battle.

Astrophyllite staggered, following the momentum of the mace. She'd missed - but not by much. The senshi was fast, and she was going to have to move to keep up. Astrophyllite spun again, her weapon clenched tightly in her hand, and she turned around just in time for the senshi's attack to hit her squarely in the stomach. She stumbled backwards, her swing completely misdirected. Astrophyllite struggled to gather her wits around her enough to teleport - but that was hard even in optimal circumstances. She took another step back from the Senshi. "I didn't even do anything to you!" shouted Astrophyllite. "I wasn't even doing anything!" She would have understood if she'd been caught collecting energy - but she hadn't been! She'd been minding her own business! Minsuil Hit her again, please! <3

The blow hit the Negaverse agent square in the stomach, dead center. The girl strumbled and her swing likewise faltered. This, Iphigenia thought as she took a step forward, is going to be easy. With her magic, landing the first hit was important. The ones that followed, magic or physical, would only hurt more. For each step Iphigenia took forward, Astrophyllite seemed to take one backwards.
"What are you talking about? You swung first," Iphigenia tapped her temple as if to remind the captain that not moments earlier her mace had been hurling towards it, "remember?"
Not that Iphigenia really needed a reason to pick a fight with a Negaverse agent. She knew what they did. And even if she hadn't seen Astrophyllite do the energy draining or youma sicking, that didn't mean she was innocent. There was a sneer of contempt on Iphigenia's face as she closed in.
"You should have run when you had the chance." She dropped to the ground and lashed out with her leg, intent on dropping Astrophyllite to the ground. The girl didn't look like she had much will to stay standing anyways.Silverah As you command! o7 (And yeah, Iphigenia still doesn't know Astrophyllite's name but I got myself confused with all the 'girls' and 'shes' and stuff. Hope you don't mind that I used her name here. OTL)

"You startled me!" exclaimed Astrophyllite, as if that explained everything. In her mind, at least, it certainly did. Anyone who approached another person with their weapon drawn was looking for a fight! That was just, like, the rules of being magical! The senshi had come at her with her magic already out. She'd been threatening! It just wasn't fair, thought Astrophyllite despairingly as she raised her mace again. One good hit, she thought. One good hit was all she needed in order to get out of here. And then the senshi kicked her. Kicked her! With a yelp, Astrophyllite went down hard. The world spun, and she rolled onto her side, trying to get away. Damn it. Damn it! How was she so weak?! Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted it - a bright sphere of energy. Half a week's quota, at least. It must have rolled free from her pocket when-- Astrophyllite looked up at the senshi, then back at the sphere. No. It's too far away. She pushed herself to her feet and grabbed her mace. "I'm gonna," she said, trying to catch her breath. "I'm gonna run now." She turned and began to run, eyes stinging. She didn't want to look back and see if the senshi was following. Minsuil You can continue if you want, or we can wrap here! Either way, I hit the plot point I needed and this is my last battle I need for reqs!

The bright sphere that rolled away from the agent proved everything Iphigenia had already assumed. But where Iphigenia might normally be smug, she felt nothing but rolling distaste. This girl had no pride. She was already on the ground, already ready to run away. Iphigenia even saw a hint of tears in her eyes. I would never let an enemy see me cry. I would die before falling to my knees. I would never run away willingly.
Well, fine.
Iphigenia turned away. All eagerness to fight had dried up. After all, beating up a coward held little appeal to her.Silverah FIN. Thanks so much for playing with me, I appreciate it!
