 Scorch was guarding the camp with eyes like a hawk. He wanted so very badly to burn something, anything, anyONE who dared intrude upon their carnival. And he spotted a feathered form flying above him, one he didn't recognize and that gave off the cursed vibes. There was no hesitation as he shot a fireball for one of Icarus' wings. HP: 20

 With little hesitation Icarus rolled to the side to avoid a mid-air collision with a fireball. He was sure the tips of his feathers were singed though. He took no time before undoing the chains around his waist, swooping down and striking the carny, aiming to wrap the chains forcefully around his arm. HP: 19

Scorch couldn't believe he missed! He saw the cursed undo chains and he blinked, barely avoiding having them wrap around him, though he got a welt from one as he moved his arms. He aimed another fireball at Icarus' back as he swooped by. HP: 19

Icarus was unable to glide out of the way of the next assault. The flames hit the center of one of his wings, causing him to quickly pat the flames out. He was no stranger to the pain and heat associated with fire. In fact he detested it beyond all reason. He looked down at the fire-based carnival fiend and frowned. "Your luck will soon be doused." Raising his arm he struck again with the chain, aiming for his horns instead of his arms this time. HP: 17

Scorch was glad he managed a better hit that time, but he was still unbelievably rusty. He was making a mental note to practice aiming at MOVING targets in his next carnival act. "Fat chance," he spouts back to Icarus, as he attempts to duck. The chain clangs off one of his horns loudly and causing him to yelp. "Hey not the horns!" He rushes him, trying to grab his legs and haul him down to the ground before he can get out of range. HP: 17

Icarus frowned at his inability to land a firm lasso on Scorch. It would make things so much easier and so much more devastating for the carnival freak. He was already reeling in the chain to strike yet again when he felt hands claw at his legs in attempt to pull him down. The other succeeded in lowering Icarus but the Cursed kept flapping his wings in attempt to stay in the air. "It can be anything I wish." He spat and tried to wrap the chain around Scorch's neck since they were so close. HP: 15

Scorch grunted with effort but couldn't pull him down all the way. He got hit hard by the chain as it came at him, but he managed to keep it from wrapping around his throat, barely, by holding up one arm and letting it take part of the hit. He attempted to keep a hold of the cursed with his free hand, which started to heat up rapidly. HP: 15 (all these twooooos)

Icarus struggled to stay in the air. His wings flapped furiously, feathers flying here and there. While he felt he could gain more leverage now, in hopes of taking them both in the air, that one hand was occupied he found himself distracted at the sensation of... heat? Realizing what was going on Icarus began to kick at the carny. HP: 13

Scorch was having a hard time holding onto him with one hand, trying to use the other to fend off attacks. But as the winged cursed started to struggle more, he lost his balance, and the kick landed hard enough to knock him back onto the ground with a grunt, dazing him. He tries to let off another haphazard fireball from his spot on his backside. HP: 11

Icarus smirked when he landed a good kick. He almost laughed as the other fell. But he refrained and lucky enough for him he managed to dodge a potentially painful fireball to the face. Needless to say though it did scorch the tip of his nose! Frowning deeply, Icarus lashed the chain at Scorch in reply to the fireball. HP: 11

Scorch was starting to get up after launching that fireball, when the chain lashed across his side. "Augh!" he cries out as he stumbles to the side again. "That's it!" he growls. "You're goin' down!" The hotheaded carnie yelled, once more trying to rush him and launch as high as he could to grab onto him to haul him down. He was getting tired of the attacks from on high! HP: 8

HP: 8 Icarus ungratefully fell to the ground like a heap of wet towels. Everything hurt from his... landing. The Cursed grumbled under his breath and took a few seconds to comprehend what just happened. The damn carny! It's all his fault. Luckily for Icarus he still held onto the chain and immediately went to go try and choke the other with it.

Scorch grunted as they both landed hard. He took less of the brunt of it as he'd landed partially on Icarus, and he was quicker to recover. As the cursed attempted to choke him he managed to grab a hold of the chain with one hand to barely keep from being choked, while his other hand balled into a fist to try and punch him hard. HP: 7

HP: 7 Icarus dodged the blow to the face by leaning to the left. Quickly the cursed tried to wrestle the chains out of Scorch's hands. Eventually he appeared to have given up and instead slashed his nails across the other's face.

Scorch whiffed his punch and pulled his hands back, while the cursed tried to wrestle the chains back he put his other hand on them to try and resist him getting them, which turned out to be a mistake. The cursed's nails dug deep grooves into his face across his nose and scraping across one of his eyes. "Ahhh!" he cries in pain, jerking his head away. Blindy, he frees one hand to try a close range fireball in the cursed's face. HP: 3
