It didn't take long for Ilyra to run into sisters, the closer she got to home the more that she saw. Times really were changing, where her mother told her there was a time where sisters rarely traveled far away from their home now they could found just about anywhere. It made her happy. Another thing that made her happy was the talk of the newest mystic. It was strange that they would have another mystic, but stranger still that she look the way that the others said. She was a full Alkidike, but different like Ilyra was.

As such as soon as Ilyra was near Chibale she started asking and found out that the new mystic's name was Aselia. As soon as she found the name of the mystic she started to ask where she could be found. She learned that Aselia was normally be found with Aisha, which made sense, but that no one was all that sure where she currently was. llyra decided to walk around. This was one of the first times she had been back to Chibale since receiving her rank of blade and was almost excited to be back.

Aselia wandered through the market fuming. So many things were changing. So many earthlings seemed to desire Aisha's help thought they had 'Gods' of their own. Were they really abandoning their own god in favor of Aisha? Clenching her fists Aselia approached a stall before pointing to her usual food. If they were so quick to abandon the 'Gods' of their birth, how quick would they be to discard Aisha?

Not to mention, they were causing strife as of late. With the band of sisters rising up to support her efforts to hold to tradition Aselia was starting to feel like the tides were pulling her every direction. Eshe was lax she knew that, she understood it as that, perhaps the sisters she had met the other day were right in what they were saying.

Grinding her teeth together Aselia thanked the Alkidike at the stall before gathering up her food and moving away from the throng of people. Grateful that her duties for the day were finished. Somehow she wondered if Eshe had sensed her frustration with the hybrids and had purposefully given her only pure children of Aisha this time. Taking a bite of her foot Aselia continued her walk through the market. Refusing to meet the gaze of anyone around her.

She was munching on a fruit when she spotted the mystic, and at once she knew that that was the girl she sought. At first she just stood there, watching the mystic walk through the market. She didn't look very happy or up for conversation, which made Ilyra slightly worried. The job of a mystic, even one in training, must be hard and she didn't want to bother the girl. However she had come all this way to talk to her and who knew when she would be back in Chibale.

Finishing her fruit Ilyra decided to try to talk to Aselia. She would simply try and if it seemed that the mystic was bothered by her than she would leave, it was as simple as that. Taking a deep breath she hurried to catch up to Aselia. "Excuse me." she called out when the other was close enough to hear her. It seemed like her bet and she didn't really have anything better to say.

Aselia paused as she heard someone calling out distinctly. It felt more directed towards her than anyone around her. Turning around to look for the source of the voice the mystic to be's eyes settled on a strange Alkidike. She was Alkidike right? Her eyes narrowed dangerously on the girl as she tried to discern any potential form of earthling in her. Her entire feature was off, different, but if she was pure perhaps that meant that once again, something strange had happened with the lotus'. Was Aisha wearing on in years and getting tired? The mystic glanced up to Aisha before turning to look at the strange sister again. Trying to put on a smile she tilted her head to the side in an attempt to look less threatening. "Ah sorry, I've been lost in thought. Was there something I can help you with sister?"

Now that she had the mystic in front of her she didn't know what to say. Everything she had planned to say went from her mind as Aselia asked if there was anything she could help Ilyra with. She didn't want to be rude, but at the same time she was aware that what she was going to say could be taken as such. Better to just get it over with though.

"Not really. I was just very interested in meeting you. I haven't been home in a while, and was pleased to hear that there was another sister... Like me..." she paused. "Someone who was pure, but didn't look like our other sisters." she wasn't sure how Aselia felt about being different, and was a little worried that if Aselia didn't like it there would be problems, though she hoped that wasn't the case.

Aselia narrowed her gaze on the mystic in front of her. Names still escaped her, and with all the lessons she had been going through, it wasn't like she had time to really memorize them like Eshe did. That put her in an awkward situation, and it made her feel uncomfortable. Lost in her own thoughts Aselia wasn't really looking at anyone or anything. That was until the Alkidike before her had mentioned not looking like her sisters. She was well aware that even her pure sisters saw her that way. Thankfully the group she had taken leadership over recently didn't seem to see her markings as a flaw but rather a gift from Aisha. And she was likely to go with them for that simple fact alone.

Letting one of her fingers travel absently over her markings Aselia gave the sister a bright smile. It was better to be sensitive to her sisters than to feel selfish and Narcissistic about her own thoughts and desires. If meeting her gave this Alkidike peace then she would have to do her best to give this sister just that. "It must be hard," Aselia began, "To know you're different but not. Once in a while things like this happen. There are sisters who aren't born whole. Some even have deformities in their Antenna you know. But Aisha makes no mistakes. Rest easy on that knowledge sister."

Shifting to move away Aselia could feel Aisha's tug that there was more to this meeting then what she was originally brushing off. "Are you hungry?"

Aselia would be a great leader one day, of that Ilyra was instantly assured. Just the way she spoke eased worried that Ilyra hadn't even remembered she held. It was then that she decided that although she was loyal to all of her sisters this one in particular would get a special kind of loyalty. "It was, especially as a youngling. I'm the first of my kind, and it wasn't easy." she nodded. She had heard of sisters without antenna, which she couldn't even imagine, but Aselia was right. Aisha made no mistakes, every sister was created for a purpose. "Thank you. Your words are helpful."

When Aselia asked if she was hungry she nodded. All she had eaten that day was a fruit. "I am sister." it was then that she noticed that Aselia had food in her hands. "If you don't mind I could get something and maybe join you?" she hoped that she made it obvious that Aselia could say no, she was sure the young mystic had better things to worry about than to talk to her.

Aselia gave a swift nod. "Yes of course. I will be waiting over there." Pointing towards a thick tree in the distance Aselia gave the woman a smile and a short wave. Turning to wander closer to the tree she had mentioned. It was quieter here, away from the main crowd and there was a strange marking on the tree. Half lidded eyes stared at the marking. Her fingers crossed over the etched bark. It was a message from the group for her. What a credulous way to attempt calling out to her. Why not just send a message with Popoie? Or come in person. Why leave messages everywhere.

Biting into her food as she waited for Ilyra to return. Perhaps she could ask the girl her views on traditions. Would she see herself as a hybrid? Or a blooded sister like herself? The idea that it could go either way interested Aselia, tilted her head to the side and opened her palm. Concentrating she attempted to call for the flames that flickered and died like sparks in the fire. The more frustrated she grew the less she could control her magic and the less she could summon it.

Grunting Aselia gave up and took another bit of her food. Turning away from the tree to watch for the strangely colored Alkidike.

As quickly as she could Ilyra grabbed something to eat. She was impatient, not only because she had been waiting so long for someone different like her to come along but also because she knew that a mystics schedule was busy and she didn't want to take up too much of Aselia's time. She remembered how busy her mother's girlfriend Kadriye was all the time, it was a relationship she didn't envy. From what she understood of Kadriye's job was that it was never ending, and she only assumed that it would be the same for Aselia. She was younger than Kadriye, and the third mystic alive now, but she was a mystic none the less.

As soon as she paid for her food she headed over towards where the other girl was sitting. "Sorry if I took a while." she said with a smile before sitting down. She took a bite of her food before realizing that she had never introduced herself, how rude! "You must think me so rude, my name is Ilyra sister. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said after swallowing the food. It was just like her to not introduce herself, her mother would laugh at the mistake surely when Ilyra told her.

Leaning back against the tree she had been inspecting Aselia's mind wandered away from where she was. Raising her eyebrows in a welcoming manner when Ilyra returned. She blinked at the womans apology but made no move to excuse it or deny it. It was simply there, words probably meant out of politeness. Taking in a deep breath as she swallowed the food she had been chewing on Aselia looked the girl over. Giving her a smile. Normally custom would dictate she respond in kind with her own name, but everyone already knew who she was. Because of that, Aselia found it redundant to go around responding with. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Aselia. In the end it would just be wasted air.

Crossing her arms over her chest the Novice mystic looked long and hard at Ilyra. At least the girl had introduced herself so Aselia wouldn't feel the fool later for not having known her. "I have a question for you Ilyra, what is your opinion on the 'others'... you know the ones of mixed birth. Who have earthling in them. What do you think about them?"

She stopped eating when Aselia asked what she thought of the halflings. However she took a few more bites before talking. She wasn't all that sure of Aselia's thoughts on them were and didn't want to get on the mystics bad side, but at the same time it wasn't like she would lie either way.

"Well. I think it's complicated." she finally said. "I feel bad for them, for the way that many of us see them. But at the same time... I know that personally I could never fall for an earthling, so it's strange for me to even think about how a sister can. Especially those that fall for males..." she shook her head, as if clearing it from the thought. "But Aisha made them, and as you said Aisha makes no mistakes, so I feel that because of that they are owed at least some kind of respect and acceptance. So while part of me finds the whole mixed thing unnatural, I feel like to think of it as wrong I would have to think of Aisha as wrong."

She finished talking and and took another bite of her food. She didn't mean to say so much about the subject, but she had more feelings on the subject then she thought. She knew many mixed sisters and she personally treated them as equals, her girlfriends brother was even mixed, but that didn't stop her from thinking it was strange.

Complicated, yes it was that certainly. But Aisha gifted so many and Aselia couldn't help but wonder exactly what the great diety was thinking by creating so many 'others'. Listening to Ilyra, Aselia made no outward appearance as to how she really thought of the sisters words. In her mind, it was up to the Alkidikes themselves to protect Aisha from having to taint herself with the 'others'. "Aisha is too kind." Aselia added thoughtfully.

Tugging on one of her kinked dreads Aselia looked towards Aisha again. This sister would not be a good candidate for recruitment, the others would eat her alive. However she was a good example of the tolerance the sisters seemed to be developing for the 'others'.

Popoie whistled up in the branches of the trees. "What do you think of those who want to bring back tradition?" Aselia asked again.

She nodded. "That I agree with. I do sometimes wonder why she isn't more picky, but then remember that it isn't my place to question why she does what she does." she finished up her food and placed it to the side. The mystic seemed to be in thought, and she wondered what the other was thinking.

"What do you mean? Which traditions do you speak of?" She thought that travel to the isle should be restricted, or at least very limited for others and that it should be mostly purebloods. But she wasn't sure if that was the traditions that Aselia was speaking of. She hadn't been around in a while and wasn't sure if there were other traditions that were recently being broken.

"Keeping our lands pure for instance." Aselia began turning to regard the strangely colored sister. "By protecting our Aisha from the invasion of all these earthlings who seek to join us. To weaken us." That was only the start of the traditions that Aselia spoke of. "More importantly, the traditions that made us a strong people. A feared people. We nearly had Jauhar as our own land, an extension of our home before we discovered knew ones. What do you feel about bringing back our strength. As it is now even some of our kind fear the pathetic power of the obans. That must change."

She nodded. She wasn't sure how she felt about all of it. She was sure they needed to look stronger, but by outlawing the mixed breeds? She wasn't sure that was the way to go. "I agree that as a people we are not as feared as we once were, and that it is a problem. I've even heard that pure earthlings came to our isles without a sister and stole peoples familiars... That isn't okay. But I'm not sure that taking away those that wish to help us is the way to go. It might be, in which it would be the right way to go, but I think a big thing that needs to be done is up our moral. Make our sisters see how strong we really aren't. Other's won't fear us if we don't even believe ourselves deserving of the fear."
