Legolas was out, as he commonly was, exploring the forest. He wasn't alone, rarely was he alone, as trailing behind him was one of his children - Silvera. They had started out walking side by side but as was common or his son, as well as his mate and grandson, nature had a way or attaching itself to them and holding them up. From branches to twigs the long hair the three possessed seemed to attract it all like moths to a lame. It held them back quickly as they had to take the time to untangle their pale hair, his son and grandson seemed to have gained his mates hair coloring.

A glance back to his son proved that he was again working to untangle himself, he'd heard his hooves stop moving over the ground behind him. "Again." Shaking his head, his ashen blond hair swaying as he did so, he moved back to his son to assist him this time, normally it didn't take this long but it seemed he had really gotten caught up. Using horn and hoof to help it took some time before his sons fine pale hair was untangled from around thin branches and the larger tree branch, which the small ones were connected to, was released. Sighing his nuzzled his older son once. "You are as bad as your mother." He stated with a smile gracing his features at the thought of his mate. She was something which he swore was made of pure winter...she was something that was ethereal in appearance and he was lucky to have found her and make her his mate.

He had, long ago, wondered about his father and what he would think of the mate his son had taken. He had wondered again, when he was first becoming a father, about his father and whether he would approve or not. He hadn't thought of his father in a very long time, instead focusing on his growing family. He was a great grandfather and while it might make some feel old it did no such thing for him. Instead he felt pride of his family, even if only his own looks had not seemed to pass down to many members of his family. Seeing his mates appearance, and that of his son, his sons mate, and such pass on made him proud.

Lifting his head into the air he flickered his tail. "Perhaps we should find some flowers for your mother which we can bring back to her." The earth was in bloom all around them as winter had finally given way to spring and the earth was once again alive. "Something with a gentle smell." To fit his mates gentle nature.

The walk had been going well, or at least as well as usual for him. He had managed to snag twigs and branches not to mentioned bushes and leaves with his hair. It was normal though and he'd easily been able to untangle himself until now. He'd been following a few steps behind his father when he'd felt the tell tail tugging at his long pale hair, he'd long ago learned what the tugging sensation meant, and he'd stopped and taken a step back to ease the tension on his poor abused hair. Once the tension was eased he'd turned his attention to the problem at hand.

The branch was large but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that it had many smaller, thinner, branches coming from it and it was wrapped about many of these thinner branches that his hair was wrapped. How it had gotten wrapped so much was beyond him but it was very much tangled. Putting his horn to use and holding the branch still with a front hoof he set to work untangling himself. Normally the process went quickly, it didn't take all that long, but this time it did and thus he wasn't surprised when his father did turn up at his side and assisted him. "Father...thank you." Whispering, his head still down and working, he managed a smile which he hoped his father saw.

Laughing at his fathers comment about himself, mother, and his own son he shook his head. "You forget father, I have another son and a daughter. Neither of them are that lucky either. Both have long tails and fairly long manes as well." He said laughing as he spoke. "I think the only one, aside from you, who is lucky is Koire." His sister had shorter hair and a tail that was like their mothers rather than their father - Legolas.

Once his hair was free he was able to nod his head to his fathers words about finding flowers for his mother. "She would like that. We should get looking then." Now that they had some purpose to their woodland wanderings. "I wish the others were around, make it a nice family walk through the woods. You know Koire likes to get into all sorts of adventures." She was a bit, or a lot, of a tomboy and was a lot like their father.

Since he was likely to just get held back, thanks to the time it took to constantly untangle himself, he decided to take the lead and ran of ahead of his father with a flick of his head indicating his father to follow him. Hopefully when all was said and done he would wind up side by side with his father rather than trailing behind him.
