Elpis slid into her bedroom and, satisfied her twin was out, powered down, before Emily Wren Wiley walked through the house, beaming as if coming out from gaming time and made her way to the itchen, beginning to put together cupcakes for Albert idly, not minding the family conmotion as they settled about weekly routines. The girl hummed and workedm seasoning and favoring before at last withdrawing the sealed honey bear she'd stolen taken from Albert's private store and began liberally seasoning the batter, waiting for the casual pop of a honey bear to summon the soon to be proprietor of cup cakes to barge in, nursing his nose and his pride even now after Coffinite's bite, and the girl beamed, humming. Daddy needed the honey treats to keep spirits up, and there really wasn't much new to report -well, corrupt senshi or chaos senshi, but those were. Fighting senshi felt weird and wrong.

Albert looked up as his baby approached, the light from the doorway the only illumination in the otherwise pitch-black, despair-filled room in which he was locked away to rot due to his pure, incurable ugliness. Ugliness brought on by a bite to the nose that was never going to heal, never going to get better, never going to ---- That was a honey bear he had just heard.Emily Wren was eating his honey. His. Honey. And just like that, the self-inflicted exile ended as Albert Wiley all but stormed out of his room to defend his supply of sugar remaining honor.

Emily heard Tropical Storm Albert coming as she began pouring cupcakes into the paper cups in the pan and turned when he was in range, kissing his (Better looking!) nose and placing a spoonful of batter to his lips happily, cooing. "Evening Daddy." Emily smiled. "I'm making you a treat. Don't touch the honey till the frusting is done!" She beamed. "Want to help?"

"I'm just here for the honey, then going back into exile," Albert said, blinking watery gray eyes at his daughter and trying to look as pathetic as possible. "Exile for the ugly." Not that he would refuse a nibble of the batter when it was offered, self-imposed exile or no.

"Your nose is looking better and I think the swelling is down." Emily said calmly, and to prove it, she kissed his nose lightly. "And honey cupcakes don't go into exile. Neither do you." She smiled at Albert fondly, and checked the pan over before placing the pan into the oven, offering Albert the bowl. "Besides, not ugly. Majestic and regal."

"It's icky," Albert whined, and grabbed the bowl with a wounded look. "Icky and ugly and a cause for exile from the decent-looking people of the world." Because who could be majestic with an antibiotic ointment and band-aids on his nose? Not him. "Ugly," he countered, stuffing his face with leftover batter even as his eyes watered with dramatic tears. "Ugly forever and Emily Wren we are taking raid with us next time." The last part was said in a whisper, but was entirely serious: Raid was going to be a part of his future arsenal. It was clearly a necessity.

"Nonsense" Emily sorted, ad rubbed his bac before beginning the frosting. "You'll heal and youlook fine. Besides, Uncle Tom is about to kidnap you if you don't stop hiding again." She rolled her eyes. "Raid is a good idea. And metal bookmarks for next tie we read at the park." She made a face as she added butter, sighing and whispering. "I saw a chaos-sided senshi recenty. Beat him off too, but there's definaitely been activity." The gil sighed. "So yeah, metal bookmarks."

"Chaos-sided.... senshi?" Albert frowned and licked the bowl, wincing with the side of it came in contact with his abused nose. "I wasn't aware that was possible..." There was so much they didn't know, and that bothered him to no end. Not knowing things was dangerous, didn't people realize that? What kind of sort-of army kept its own people this much in the dark? No wonder they didn't seem to be doing very well? (Not that the bad publicity helped, either.... Maybe he could think of a way to change that...)

"Ran into one with a hole in it's chest and head." Emily frowned, resuming mixing, The motion gave her a moment to think and exert effort, frowning further. "Probably more. I'm not sure I'm comfortable fighting them - and I'm not sure they're the same as this other senshi group in dark Bodices. Dark Mirror Court. Assuming they're Chaos, not sure. I met one as a civilian. The girl was pretty good so I'm hoping the Mirrors are too. I should find more to talk to. But this one's aura reminded me of part of the spider's." She studied her mix, taking a finger and stealing the smallest taste for texture. Satisfied it was almost there, she resumed mixing. "I'm more worried about how little senshi get told. I met someone newer than me who knew nothing. I had to give her the crash course, and I'm still worried. And then there's some Nega agents." Emily frowned. "I think some get tricked into the Negaverse. I'm worried about them. We're dealing with a highly manipulative and tricky army. Which means dirty tactics. And not enough information on our side." At that, Elpis growled. "Aside Ausonia, I've seen two senshi from our side, know there was a fourth person, and whomever all was at that party, plus Helicon. There's no information sharing. Which means disorganization. If there's leaders?" Emily finally stopped stirring to snarl bitterly. "If there's leaders, they're incompetant. If not, there's not enough effort made to coordinate."
