A wide yawn escaped her as she stepped down off her porch. Syqvara had stayed up late into the night to finish reading a book. Now she was attempting to get some fresh air to help keep her awake for the day. If she were up to it she might even go for a walk to see how far she was comfortable traveling away from home. It likely wouldn't be much though. Turning to walk through the town she'd keep her head down to keep from gaining unwanted attention. Sy wasn't sure if she could deal with it being how tired she was.

"I'll have a mug of your finest beverage, good sir!"

This came from Kolari, who had traveled all the way from the village of Isd to the settlement of Yera. It had been a long journey by foot, and she had managed to travel all through the night. As such, she was a bit tired, and was now standing in front of a local coffee merchant to get a mug of the hot stuff from him. If anything would wake her up, then it would be that. Despite having traveled all night, she still managed to smile warmly at the man, and he obliged her with a mug of coffee without hesitation.

Coffee in hand, Kolari slipped the man a few coins for his troubles and then proceeded to drink. The beverage was warm and bitter in her mouth, but it would perk her right up in no time. It was as she took a drink that she noticed another Leaf girl walking by - Syqvara - and she seemed quite sleepy, too. Perhaps she had a long day as well? Not wanting to be rude, Kolari waved over at the girl and flashed her a genuine smile.

"Care for a drink? It will perk you right up!"

So sorry for the delay. ; n; My muse for Kolari was gone for a while, but now I'm getting it back! Are you still down for RP?

She was unaware of most of her surroundings, as she was trying to remain invisible, but she heard someone speaking to her and it made her snap out of her little world. Blinking the red head would look around before her eyes landed on Kolari. Sy noticed that the girl was trying to wave her over so she pointed at herself almost in disbelief. "M-me?" Again, she looked around her to make sure there was no mistake.

Kolari smiled at her. She wasn't surprised to see that Syqvara was staring at her in disbelief. The other Leaf girl did seem preoccupied with making herself as discrete as possible, after all. Kolari couldn't blame her, either; some folks just weren't as outgoing as others. "Mmhmm," she found herself murmuring before turning her back away from Syqvara for a moment.

Haven't not left the coffee stand, she turned back to the merchant. "One more mug, please," she said as she extended out the payment for the drink. The merchant nodded, and in the next minute, she had a second mug of hot coffee in her hand. With her drink in tow, Kolari then moved over to the other Leaf girl and held it out to her. "Here," she said gently, "it will help wake you up; I've had a long night, too. Walked all the way here from Isd!" She then paused, blinked, and then flashed Syq an apologetic and sheepish look.

"How rude of me -- I haven't introduced myself. I'm Kolari! It's nice to meet you."

Syqvara stood still as she watched what the other girl was doing and waited. When she realized that the girl had gotten her a drink Sy found herself blushing. She reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear then gave a small nod and a smile as she said her thanks. Unsure of exactly what to say she took the drink and blew on it lightly to cool it down before she brought it to her lips.

Her eyes went wide as the girl mentioned where she had walked from in one night. "S-so far." She exclaimed. With the leaf earthling giving her name she'd give a genuine smile before giving her own. "I-I'm Syqvara." It seemed that lately many more people were traveling to Yera or at least through it. Or she had only just now started to notice since she was determined to get out more.

"Syqvara is a very pretty name."

The leaf earthling's blush did not go unnoticed. When Kolari saw it, she couldn't help but smile and giggle playfully. Rather than point it out or poke at the girl in jest, however, she decided to keep silent over it. The shade of pink in Syq's cheeks was adorable, but she didn't want to put her off by pointing such things out. Some people didn't like to be called out on such things, and having just met Syq she didn't want to press her luck. She wanted to make friends rather than enemies.

Kolari followed suit when her companion took a drink of her coffee. She brought the steaming mug to her lips, blew on it a couple times, and then took a delicate sip. The drink warmed her throat and her stomach as it worked its way down, and she found herself sighing contently. A mug of coffee like this, and a quiet morning were wonderful ways to start the day.

"The spirits seem to be quite calm this morning."

She could feel it in the air. There was a hush over the streets of Yera, at least for the moment. With people still waking up, it would take a little while for things to get to a livelier pace, so Kolari was glad for the quiet that they had for the moment.

The compliment to her name had her cheeks burning even more but she accepted it graciously. "Th-thank you, my father n-named me." And she loved her name. She loved her nickname even more. As Kolari took a drink of her beverage Syqvara watched her for a moment. Her bright green eyes blinking a few times and when the girl said something about the spirits Sy turned her face skyward. "It is always l-like this in the m-mornings." The red head took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

Returning her head to it's proper position she'd blow on her coffee and wait a moment before she took another sip. As the liquid filled her belly she seemed to be pondering something for a moment. "Ahem, U-uhm.. the spirits also h-have a place that is un-undisturbed here." Not many knew about it, since it wasn't a well traveled spot, but she had found it quickly.

Syqvara's words seemed to catch Kolari's attention right away.

An undisturbed place for the spirits?

That sounded right up her alley!

Like the majority of the Leaf tribe, the importance of the spirits were instilled into Kolari from a young age. Her parents had taught her reverence for them, just as their parents and grandparents had did before them. They had no set deity or pantheon, but instead turned to nature and the elements for their guidance. As a result of her upbringing, the young woman was quite devout, and she prayed to the spirits for everything. She even hoped to communicate with them more, one day, as a shaman.

"Oh -- that sounds wonderful," Kolari said when Syqvara told her of the special location. "I'd love to go! I'm aiming to be a shaman, so any sort of thing involving the spirits is something I want to see or experience."

It was wonderful. Sy had to agree whole heartily with Kolari on that. The red head would often go there when she needed peace so that she could be closer to the spirits. When she heard that the girl had a similar path as her she gave a bright smile. Finally! She was getting to meet someone that wanted to become a spiritual leader of her people, just like her. She bit down on her bottom lip and looked around before she waved her hand at Kolari for her to follow. "This way."

With her mug in hand she'd lead the way down the street, avoiding the people who were emerging to begin their day. Soon, though, she would veer off the main stretch and duck into a side alley way and follow it down to the end. Syqvara looked behind her to make sure that Kolari followed before she slipped into what appeared to be a large pile of fallen trees. It was a collection of the broken branches from trees around the area that were useless, or logs that seemed rotted and unable to be made into anything. However, on the inside of the pile there was a small clearing and right in the center was a sapling. New life was growing in the middle of the decay. Her presence alerted some of the insect life, as well as a few dozen butterflies, and they took flight, making the sight almost magical as it came to life.

Syqvara didn't have to tell Kolari twice. With the notion of visiting a spiritual place, the plump Leaf earthling seemed to have more of a pep in her step. She followed the slimmer girl eagerly and without hesitation, curious as to where she might be taking her. The nice thing about the Leaf tribe is that their deities were constantly around them and could be found anywhere, no matter what country. Nature was glorious in that way.

Finally, she made it to the small clearing with her newfound friend, and she couldn't help but let out a gasp of surprise. With the butterflies and the insects adding to the atmosphere, everything was beautiful. It may not have seemed like much to people outside of their tribe, but to Kolari the small sapling was wonderful. It was amazing how new life can come out of such harshness and despair, but that was the way of things. Even if life seemed difficult, new life could always still come into the world to bring happiness and joy.

"This place is wonderful," she said with a bright smile, though careful to keep her voice down. "I love it! Thank you for bringing me here." She would have given Syqvara a hug, but she refrained herself from doing so. Considering she had just made friends with the other shaman hopeful, it might have been odd to receive a hug so soon. Perhaps later on, though, when they were better friends.

Once Kolari was inside the small clearing and could see everything Sy smiled and looked down at her cup of coffee. Since this was the first time she'd shown anyone to this spot she wasn't sure how to respond. So she settled for a hummed agreement and sipping at her warm drink. When a butterfly decided to flutter right past her face she followed it with her eyes, curious to see where it was off to. Where it went made her hide her chuckle a bit. The fluttering thing had landed in Kolari's hair. "I th-think one of them l-likes you." Her hand gave a short motion that pointed toward the girl's hair.
