This was not what he had expected. He had gone out into the rogue lands with the hope of helping those who needed it. With healing and rescuing others, if need be. He had not expected to be the one in need of help! But that was just what had happened, whether he had been anticipating it or not.
His mother was going to be so disappointed in him! He was simply not the hero she or his brother happened to be.
Currently, he found himself huddled beneath the over hang of a large rock that was protruding from the landscape. He was doing his best to hide from a large, angry rhino who had not been pleased to see a lion hanging around his birdy friend. But he hadn't been looking to hurt the bird, only give it some herbs to help it feel better! It had been complaining about a stomach ache.
The rhino only saw red, however, and would not think of the lion as anything other than a threat. While it stomped around, ignoring the bird and looking for something to ram, Ermey continued to hide.
He hoped the large being would leave soon, or at least get distracted. Knowing his luck, however, that wasn't likely to happen any time soon.
