Welcome to Nalizaro!
Nalizaro is a realm of odds and oddities. Our main goal is to provide a place for roleplayers to enjoy a new world to play in. In the future, we hope to host events here and in other forums in a sort of spread. But first! Rules:
Table of contents for those who like to Ctrl+F stuff:

Nalizaro: +T+
Roleplaying: +R+
Event planning: +E+
Chat Rooms: +N+
Shops: +S+
FAQ: +F+

Even Lord Takaku follows the rules, so let us begin:

+T+ Nalizaro Main forum:

This is the main forum where any of the subtopics can be placed but this is more for short term topics. Long-term topics should be placed in the proper subforum.

Lord Takaku often hangs around the main forum and you have better odds of him jumping into one-shot games or simple chats but that doesn't mean you have higher odds of gifts.

Topic hosts are rule setters for their thread. Obey their rules on top of these rules on top of Gaia's rules. If you have an issue on a thread, contact the topic host. If the thread literally has you hot and bothered or think it breaks other rules, contact a guild leader. Guild leaders might be busy so it could take time for them to deal with a situation. They will seek the help of admins if the situation is dire.

If you see a scam, tell a guild leader. Topic hosts should be warned too, but we have a no scam tolerance and will seek admins. If you're caught in a scam, there's no warning, you will be banned from guild. Admins will be given information as to what you did, and they will decide what to do with you outside of guild.

Keep it civil: This applies to all corners of this guild. We're here for fun, don't ruin someone's fun. Golden rule and whatnot.

+R+ Roleplaying:

MARK YOUR TOPIC AS ROLEPLAY IF YOU MAKE ONE!

All topic owners may host their version of Nalizaro and Nalizaro only. What if you want to host a realm of flying fish fungus? Okay fine, but that's through a door of Nalizaro that your roleplay group can visit. Like anything there's technicalities that can get around this rule, but if your topic is reported to me I will examine it and take it down if it doesn't tie in.

There are topics for chatting in, and there are roleplaying topics. You can keep character in the chat topics, you cannot drop character in the roleplaying topics. Doing so renders the topic creator to decide your fate which could lead to a ban if it keeps happening.

Roleplay within reason. If your character is an a*****e, fine, but if it gets personal or the topic creator asks you to knock it off then do so. Gaia is a PG13 website, so keep it in your pants! I mean, honestly I don't care, but it's their rules so if it gets reported to me it'll get taken down. Language isn't really an issue to me, but the topic creators might have their own rules.

Lord Takaku plays Lord Takaku. What does that mean? Well, if you host a realm of Nalizaro, you by all means, control Lord Takaku. But if he does happen to hop into your game, he might come to stir some stuff up and create some action. He is unpredictable, and does as he pleases, after all this is his realm. If you think he came in and just ruined a story plot, send him a PM, if your odds be good he might adjust the course back. If your story caught his interest he may bless your team or yourself with in game gifts, or Gaia gifts. So let your odds be good! He might pop in just to roll a dice or a number, it's optional whether or not your members roll also, but matching his number could win you a prize.

Follow the rules of the topic host! They are Lord Takaku, unless Lord Takaku pops in, then they are Lord Takaku's shadow which is just as awesome as he is, and they become him again if he is not around! Do not break Lord Takaku's rules! Topic hosts should create some sort of icon or symbol to mark when their post is being said as Lord Takaku, especially if they have other characters they're roleplaying in this realm. If no mark is assigned it should be assumed they are just playing Takaku, as he is the voice of his realm and the storyteller.I just called a bunch of topic hosts gods...what have I done...

Mark in the first post if you plan to discuss adult topics. Obviously, don't get freaky in these things, but if you're going to use dark humor, violence, adult language put a warning. Situations will be dealt with if they go overboard, but if you want to cuss like a sailor do it in the respective places. Go by the chain of command: topic hosts first, then guild representatives. If you report to a guild representative without trying to work a situation out with the topic host. If their game is going a way you don't like, try to talk to the topic host, otherwise find a different game. If the game is going in a rule violation way, inform the topic host to try to clean it up, otherwise contact a guild representative.

For the most part I'm pretty open on what goes on here. If you don't like Takaku, say so, he doesn't care, in fact he makes a game out of it. You don't have to be loving and polite to him, he's merely the host of this realm. But remember, roleplay within reason. His RL owner does have feelings and will let you know if you're not being constructive.

+E+ Eventioners:

MARK YOUR TOPIC WITH AN E OR SOMETHING

Yeah! You get a fancy title! And if you what that's what you get called here!

Eventioners are the inventors of events. They create a topic with an idea as to what would be a good event, if it'll be hosted in guild or out in the Gaian wilds, prizes, contests, whatever pertains to it!

Eventioners are like the staff of Nalizaro, it will be your job to run your events accordingly. Topic hosts pick and choose their staff, they also have to be willing to help other events even if theirs doesn't take off (sorry it happens), in the event that more staff is needed for that event.

Eventioners topic hosts get to pick what role Lord Takaku plays in it, and he will behave accordingly; within reason! Takaku is not suicidal, angry, mean, spiteful, or made of gold. Which means, you can't ask for him to come in acting like a party pooper or pick on guests (doesn't apply to dark age themed events)! You cannot say he gives a trillion gold to everyone who makes an appearance unless you've raised the funds to do that, which then by all means if that's what you want to spend your gold on go for it.

Eventioners cannot start an event fund until it is approved! Approved events will get stickied! If an event is not approved and the owner is asking for funds this is a scam. Please report them! This is a ban from the guild, and might involve admins as I really have a no tolerance policy on stealing pixels, they aren't real and you're literally just ticking off people for no reason.

Topic hosts should put a simple Yes or No poll on their events so members can vote whether or not they like the idea. Obviously, don't just click one or the other for the gold in these topics, you can literally do that anywhere else on Gaia.

Basic Event example:
Theme: Masquerade
Set Apparel (optional): Gaian avatars should try to at least wear a mask
Staff: Tiffany, Bethany, and omg Jessica
Contests(optional) : Best dressed, best roleplayer, best art
Prizes for contests(optional): A pair of sunglasses that lenses are missing
Other stuff:

+N+ Nalizarins:

MARK YOUR TOPIC AS A MEETING GROUND LIKE A COFFEE SHOP OR BAR!

Nalizarins are the owner of chat shops! They hold the rank of denizen in their shop which means if you rob them or assault them, they can call guards to have you removed. The rules for chat shops are basically the same as roleplay topics. Topic host is the rule setter.

How a chat shop should work: Instead of starting a new topic for each singular topic, a chat shop should be open to many topics, and the Nalizarin should update their top post with the current topics being discussed. Obviously, it's not expected to be updated on an hourly basis as people do sleep, but try to keep up and maintain your shop.

You may keep your characters in chat shops as these make good grounds for people to maybe hop into an actual roleplay. Chat shops can be marked as Nalizaro safe, meaning you shouldn't talk about topics like current events/religions/or other sensitive topics. On the other hand, lets say you want to talk about Dragon Age...well that's a realm isn't it? Therefore you can stay in character and refer to it accordingly. The Nalizarin will inform you if you're disturbing their shop.

Chat shops can host their own mini events, have their own contests, lottery etc. Scams should be reported, and as previously mentioned, will most likely get reported to admins also. Just don't do it.

Mark in the first post if you plan to discuss adult topics. Obviously, don't get freaky in these things, but if you're going to use dark humor, violence, adult language put a warning. Topic hosts should be alerted first to any situation, sometimes the best solution is just to duck out of the topic and not make a disturbance.

+S+ Shops:

MARK YOUR SHOP AS A SHOP AND IF IT'S OPENED OR CLOSED

Shops are run and maintained in a similar fashion to those run in the gaia forums so abide by their rules on top of these.

All shops hosted here focus on the Nalizaro theme. If you're making art, it should be of Nalizaro OC's, music could be bard lyrics, etc. Just keep to the theme.

Scams, third time in post, just don't do it. I frown more upon it here than in other topics, and that says a lot because if you haven't noticed I was already super frowning on it. If an artist takes the time and effort to make you something, don't steal it! Give them what they requested for it. As far as I see it, some artists spend hours or days working on a project for practically nothing (I mean gold/items yeah, but they're just online stuff, not real) so respect that and don't take it. No real money trades, take it off site if you're going to do it. We're not responsible for non-gaia transactions.
