We do have larger-scale events planned for this year and we're looking forward to having help from our SCAS team to implement them. That being said, we are going to be pushing a lot to update features and add new features to the Gaia Online site, so this will likely take some focus off of extra huge events.

We do have plans long term to create a basket for gold shops and also La Victoire, they will take some time to develop/test. As for multiple trashing- this is something that would probably coincide with a shopping cart, and would be released after.

I was wondering if they ever plan on creating some achievements for fishing. It would be awesome to get fishing related titles, such as "fisherman" "wrangler" "guppy" etc. They could be based off of the amount of fish we have caught, amount of times we have fished or if we catch a rare fish. This would also encourage people to try fishing out since there has been a pretty large decline in fishermen lately.

Ahhhh, yes! We are planning on making some new achievements for Fishing. I would love to hear suggestions, if you would be willing to make a thread about it we could integrate some (with proper credit given)!

I've been wondering this for a while and was hoping for some sort of answer regarding it but, why is it recolors on EIs/REIs vary from their original price? For example, the recolor of My Bloody Valentine is 999gc when the original was only 499gc. I've just been wondering because that seems kind of weird to do since a lot of people like the recolors but aren't usually willing to pay more than the original price of the EI/REI, especially when most of them end up in a RIG later on. Items such as REIs/LQIs/EIs will vary in price depending on the perceived quality and desirability. For instance some LQIs will be released in a new color for 499 GC, because the color is rare or not easily matchable. REIs when they are released are a standard price, but their recolors will vary depending on the color choices.

I'm not the most familiar with the manga but it has never been confirmed if they are or not, they just live in the same town. Rina is an all around friendly person.

Yes, I'm back to wreak havoc with the same totally insane, long-winded question. You're probably not even surprised anymore. I'd ask if you have this post memorized, but I know it's only one question per post and I'm not that curious. (Attempting for the nineteenth consecutive week! I will also be hitting below the emotional belt towards the end, as usual. Fair warning.) Sorry! It's only because I care about the community and love the site. (That means I love you, too, even it doesn't seem like it.)
In response to my question at the ATS on 10/27/14 (Why can’t you remove gold generators?), you said that the major reason for not removing them was that gold generators are popular (read: people like them!) and that they help to fund your site. I have no quarrel with the second portion of this argument. I like this site and I would like for it to be here for many years to come.
I do, however, have to heartily disagree with the idea that people like gold generators. As I mentioned previously, the current statistic is that 90-92% of those polled (by Gaians) hate gold generators. (Many of these polls are linked here but I'm sure there are more recent ones that can be found quite easily.) That means that only 8-10% of your population likes them. There are multiple petitions begging for the removal of gold generators, here (2,600+ votes*) and here (1,760+ votes*) to list two of the larger ones. There are even two that I've seen asking for Gaia itself to be deleted or reset entirely. (I believe these threads were deleted.) In the past, there was also a poll here with people predicting Gaia’s imminent downfall (82.1% believe the outcome is either grim or destined for failure). Likewise, many users have vowed not to purchase GC until things change (though the OP isn’t editing her first post to reflect the numbers, there are ~175 pages of signatures). And, honestly, you can't go more than a day in the Gaia Community Discussion without seeing a post that essentially says "Hey, I've just returned from hiatus. What's going on with this ridiculous inflation?"
If you get a moment, please also check out the results of this related survey. Many of the comments reflect that we want gold generators to stop. (Other common points include hope for a greater focus on the community, less emphasis on the cash shop, and honest, more transparent communication with the user-base.) There was also recently a poll here in Site Feedback rating trust and our willingness to spend money on this website. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the lowest, 88% rate you as being untrustworthy to some degree (adding up 1, 2, 3, and 4).
So I don’t buy the premise that “people like them.” It could well be that people are buying them because they feel they have no other choice. Not everyone understands vending and not everyone has the patience for fishing. And, let’s face it: the output from the other games is worthless nowadays. (With the sole exception being Booty Grab.) Gold generators are pretty much the only way that some people have to get the items that they want on this site (if they want to pay with gold) and that’s not right, considering that they’re what wrecked the economy in the first place.
The actual question is this: Have you considered having a neutral third party conduct a survey requesting feedback on gold generators and feelings about the state of the site in general or hosting a poll of your own (without any cop-out neutral answers) and then sharing the results of that survey with us?
Your sales might reflect that these items are popular- but that might be for the reason I mentioned above. Or, worse, it could be because the item descriptions in the cash shop are vague and some people don’t know what they’re buying until after they open the item. It could be because they are usually on sale or have some sort of increased chance at the bonus prize. There are tons of conspiracy theories out there- I won't list them all. (I've wasted enough of your time.) Hosting a poll and having solid proof that you’re willing to share with the community could not only help to weaken one side’s argument (I don’t even care if it’s my side), it could also show the community that you care about our opinions and are genuinely willing to listen to us about matters other than recolors… something that some of us feel isn’t present at this particular moment. (If you frequent Site Feedback, that is, or if you take a look at that off-site poll.)
I understand that you're going to continue to sell these things regardless of whether or not we like them -- what I'm begging for here is for you to give us some sort of table-scrap, some little tidbit, to show us that you've heard and considered our feedback on this important matter. I do sincerely apologize if this comes across poorly but, as I said, I care about us, about this community, and this is one of those issues that a good many of us are deeply concerned about. We want to be heard, listened to. We want to know that you care about us. Your lack of response, of acknowledgement regarding this glaring issue, hurts everyone who wants to know that we still matter to you as more than a dollar sign.

This is a very long question, and I must be briefer than I would like to give everyone at ATS a fair share of time. First, the gold economy is of great concern to us- I realize that a lot of gold was sold in the past year, and we are working on incrementally decreasing the overall amount in the general economy. This is currently being achieved through a variety of methods, but we will probably continue to release limited amounts of gold (we are currently using an LQI method) to curb their effects on inflation. We are releasing surveys in the near future, hopefully by the end of this week, for Gaians to respond to, but I'm not opposed to having 3rd party surveys done as well. Feel free to PM if you have a service in mind.

I hate being a butt, but could we get a Diedrich March, one that is RED and green? I'm sure that most people would've expected red in the President March, since it is a Diedrich item. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not into the black/green theme. Black isn't a Diedrich color, so I sorta feel cheated out of an item that was highly requested. I would've loved to wear red and green Diedrich overalls, hair bow, and leg mod to celebrate his birthday, but I can't. confused

Since it was our mistake, if users want the item currently in the bundle now they can submit a ticket to have it replaced, but otherwise they can keep the item they won.

It seems as though there are some backend issues that are keeping certain payments (for instance in level up CIs, and in some games)- we'll have to make a revised list of what GCash purchases can count towards the Tier until our backend is able to support these payments.

Would Gaia ever consider doing a charity item sale to help accepted users that apply for it?
For example, my dad was in a motorcycle accident on the 14th, heading to Daytona Beach's bike week, and is in the hospital with spine injuries and related problems. With proof of everything, would Gaia consider helping Gaians like me with a single pose charity item (in this case, perhaps the helmet that saved his life) and giving a % of sales to the Gaian that needs help (in this case, medical bills and the loss of his income)?

That is something we've never considered, I will have to talk it over with our legal team to see if its something that we could feasibly do. Personal charities are a minefield due to accountability/taxes/ect. I'm sorry to hear that your family is going through a tough time right now, and I wish your dad the best.

If you release one project at a time, then it gets ALL the attention, meaning more people buying it as there is nothing else like it at the time.
if you add a second one, then people are more likely to choose one of the wo.
Add another less buying. and so on and so forth.
PLEASE, only release one project rig at a time, this way it can be the main focus, have more people buy it, and potentially more winners.

have the odds of winning certain prizes listed on

It wouldn't be such a pet-peeve of mine to know,

We definitely can't share our backend odds calculator, but with a little math, you can probably calculate them by looking at the number of items in a user-generated list and then scale them by worth. Generally speaking though, 200x odds are pretty fantastic odds. 3nodding

Is there a way you can monitor what non-LQI items are starting to really fall out of rotation and introduce them into rerelease RIGs from time to time?
For example Takkun's Riotous Side is really hard to come by (there is a month gap between the last sale a few days ago and the one before). I normally don't have time to pop on and ask for x or y item to be rereleased in an ATS and if it was automated, I think it'd be really useful for everyone.

We don't have an automated system to track what has been released in a RIG recently (DO I EVER WISH WE DID), so thank you for the suggestion! We normally rely on Gaians to ask for certain items to be re-released into the item stream again.

200g. That's not a whole lot in this economy gaia. Oh sure the Welcoming Fairy gives them 3k a day...but that's still a low amount.
So the whole point of this is maybe that 200g verification award ought to be bumped up slightly because that's just an absurdly small amount these days.

Is the staff still working on a fix for the way Loyal's Bazaar admission is calculated? I've been repeatedly barred out because Gaia is my homepage and I can continuous log in selected, yet I am on Gaia every single day. I would love to get back into the shop to buy some times without having to worry about whether or not my days are being 'counted'. Getting the consecutive online days achievement years ago was of no issue.

We are in the process of re-doing Loyal's admission requirements since there have been so many issues around it. In the mean time, you can file a ticket with our CS team and they can manually place you into the store membership.

If I wanted to recolor a bare arms set to match specialty skins (such as Wasteland Recon, Hoarfrost's Ciecero, or BOO skin), would that count as a recolor or repaint? I'm not too sure since those skins would require a little more than just a change to match the base color. From what I understand, if you ask for a pattern change it's a repaint. But then rainbow-fied and items with glow get approval, which kind of of seems like a repaint too.

I'm not sure what you mean in terms of having to repaint any of the bare arms as we only need to shift the colors to match a specific base that was left out. Making a rainbow gradient or adding glows doesn't require repainting (repixeling) either!
