"I can't believe it has been so long!" Juliet said as she looked at Yuki with a huge grin on her face "and to think that you and I are in the same herd! I am SO pleased to have found you again!" She said as she stopped by the lak for a quick drink.
"It has been a while hasn't it, Miss Juliet? I am sorry I haven't been able to keep to our schedule or even was able to visit, I have missed our sessons and our lunch dates but at least now we will be able to have both again" he said as he sat down beside her "that is, if you still want me as your sensei".
"Of course I do!" She said as she looked up from the lake "I love the time we spend together! Though, I must admit, I am a little rusty" she said as she sighed a little "I tried keeping up with practicing the stuff you taught me but it just wasn't working out and so after a while, with you not showing up either, I...I sort of just gave up, I know I shouldn't of, I know you won't be my teacher for the rest of my life but at the same time I just didn't want to say goodbye to what we had either and so if I stopped I could find it a little easier to just move on and some what forget what we had" she said as she turned her back on him "I'm sorry, Master, I shouldn't of done that" she said as she looked back at him "it was wrong of me especially when I loved our time together."
Yuki got up and walked over to her and nuzzled her "it is fine, Juliet, I have to take half of the blame but it is all in the past now, we can start training again tomorrow morning at six?"
Juliet nodded "sure, sounds great!" She said as she nuzzled him back "now come, lets see if I have mastered this little thing called sushi yet" she said as she started to walk back toward the castle to use their kitchen.

Romeo had had enough of all the rejections that he had gotten, why couldn't he find ONE girl to date? Was he REALLY that bad of a guy? Well, considering that no woman wanted to date him that would be a rather good guess but whatever, he just wanted one chance, was that too much to ask? Romeo was sitting at the counter in the kitchen drinking a milkshake he had made himself, extra thick, extra creamy and extra peppermint which now, he realized, that may have been a bad thing, he loved peppermint but this was a little too much. Romeo pushed the milkshake away and just ask he was about to place his head on his hooves he heard voices coming his way which just made him pull his milkshake back toward himself and started drinking it some more, he may have added too much mint into it but he still couldn't say no to it so he decided that he would finish this and just leave, he would let the new comers have the kitchen.
"Juliet, have you found anyone since we last spoke? Should i be finding you a wedding gift some time soon?" Yuki asked curiously as he smiled at his friend.
"No, there isn't anyone and I don't want there to..." Juliet stopped in the door way as she looked at the male sitting at the counter "oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know the kitchen was occupied" she said as she started to turn away "come on Yuki, we can come back later"
"Please, stop" Romeo said as he decided to leave the rest of the milkshake on the counter "I will leave, I was just about finished anyway" he said as he looked the mare over, she was beautiful, but Yuki was there and there was one thing he knew about that pony it was the fact that he could kick his a** from here to the next valley in half a second so hitting on his friend was not going to happen.
Juliet turned back around and smiled at the male and looked him over, he was good looking but she didn't want a man and besides she had Yuki whispering in her ear that it was best to stay away from that one as it would only lead to heartache in any shape of form so that was putting her off "thank you but you don't have to leave on my account, perhaps we could share the kitchen?" She said as Romeo nodded and took a seat back up at the counter and drank his milkshake some more.
"Yuki watched Juliet walk in and looked in the cupboards for some rice, which she found, and then found the pot she would be using watching the male at the counter as she started to prepare everything that she needed and took a seat at the table to wait.
"I was just wondering, would you like to join us for some riceballs? I was going to make sushi but apparently Yuki would like riceballs instead, something about past memories he would like to relive or something, I don't, know, but if you would care for a bite to eat I don't mind making more" she said, smiling at the male.
Romeo looked up, a little in shock, someone was actually asking HIM if he wanted something to eat!? With her!? A woman was asking to break bread with HIM!? Well that was new to him but to save looking like a dork more so he swallowed, smiled and nodded "y...yes, thank you, that is, if you are sure" he said, waiting for the 'just kidding, your not worth eating with' that he was so used to.
"Yes, I am sure" she said smiling at him "I am Juliet by the way, may I ask your name?" She asked as she was starting to roll the riceballs into shape.
Romeo smiled at her, it had been a long time since he had been addressed by a woman, a beautiful woman at that, wishing to just talk to him, sure his antics are what have made a lot of woman in and out of the herd upset with him but he couldn't help it, woman were beautiful creatures! But still it had been ages where even he has just wanted to sit down and talk to a woman, not try and hit on them, not since he was a child pretty much, but she...she had something about her where he didn't want to hit on her, there was something about her that made him just want talk to her on a friendly basis. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Juliet, I am Romeo" he said as he took one last sip of his milkshake.
Juliet smiled at Romeo and nodded her head once, gently, "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance also, Romeo" she said as she turned around and placed a riceball in the riceball steamer and started making more.

Forty-five minutes later they were all sitting down to eat, all except Yuki that is "can you please save me two?" She asked as his brother was tugging at his top "come on, Yuki, I need to have your help with something!" Ayame said, more so in an annoying fashion, but still, "I swear, it won't take long" he said as he started out of the room which just left Yuki to sigh "I swear, one day, he is going to be the end of me" he said as he turned and left. "I am sorry Juliet, I will make it up to you" he said as he stood at the door and smiled at her "promise" he said as he ran back, grabbed a rice ball and then left "and thank you" he said as he left, riceball hanging out of his mouth as he ran to catch up with his brother.
"Well..." Juliet said as he picked up a rice ball and took a bite, savouring the taste, she had decided to add pickled plums to the backs of them, they all had wanted them so she decided to do it but now, as she was savouring her riceball she was left with the male that Yuki swore her not to be around and yet she could take care of herself so maybe it wouldn't be so bad?
"Well..." Romeo replied.
"Alright, this is getting us no where, so, how long have you been hanging around here for?" She asked curiously, it seemed like a while but then she had known people who could make a bad name for themselves in five minutes so..."
"A while, must admit though, it is nice to see a new comer to the herd, it seems like a while since we last had one" he said, taking a riceball and nibbling at it.
"Really? Well, it is nice to be here, if I knew Dream Valley was this beautiful I would of come sooner though I do have to ask, any chance you can give me any tips on this herd? What are the ponies like?" She asked, curiously.

Romeo thought for a few minutes, wondering where to start and, as much as he hated to talk about her and her family, he decided to start at the beginning. "Our herd leader..." he begun, starting to fill her in on almost all ponies in the herd, stopping to answer her questions every now and again and by the end of it she had practically a novel of information and, when she looked at the clock, she realized that they had been sitting there for almost three hours.
"So that is all of them?" She asked, a little overwhelmed at the information but she had taken all of it in for the most part and and she knew she already hated most of the herd leaders family but then she just hoped they never actually had to deal with her and her them, the best she could do is just stay away from them and not cross them even though, from the sounds of things, Raven had eyes everywhere which was a little unsettling.
"Not quite, you are probably looking at half the herd? If even that."
"HALF!?" She asked in shock "how many ponies ARE there in this herd!?"
"Well, at last count, about 300 and something, that was a while ago now and since more come we just keep growing, Raven is actually seriously looking at making this herd two or assigning a co-leader which Mulan was but I think she would rather kick her out of the spot and give it to one of her own children or even two considering how many ponies there are."
The purple pony sighed as she slumped back into her chair "oh lord, what have I gotten myself into?" She said rhetorically "when I came here I thought that maybe, if i was accepted into any herd, it would at least be one that wasn't run by a mad, evil woman and her family. Oh well, at least there are a lot of other nice ponies, I guess that is something" she said as she got up and took the dishes to the sink and started washing them, seeing Romeo come over and start drying them as they went.

After the dishes were done she looked to Romeo and smiled at him "thank you for your help and thank you for filling me in on the ponies in this herd but I think it is time I went to see this leader of outs" she said, knowing that she just told herself that she had to stay away from her but the least she could do, to be polite, is to have a meet and greet with her, after all, who knows if she will even be excepted? She had to ask.
"You want to meet Raven!?" Romeo asked, his turn to be shocked now "are you insane!? Isn't this the part where you tell me you NEVER want to meet her or something?"
"I know, it should be, and I have actually told myself moments ago that I should keep away from her but it is polite to ask if i can be in the herd and introduce myself" she said as she started to walk towards the kitchen door, Romeo following.
"Then, if you don't mind, can I please stay with you? I am no fighter, far from it, but I would just feel better if someone was there with you when you talk to her and before you say no, it is something you have to do on your own, just remember who you are talking to, this woman shows no mercy, one wrong slip up and you could be turned into a toad or something worse and I know that you would take it and deal with it I just would rather know you will come back safely from this meeting thats all, it will put my mind to rest."
Juliet was about to say no but then stopped and sighed "alright, I can do that" she said as they left the castle "just one question, how does one get to meet Raven?"
"All you need to do is just call her, she will come" he said, not looking forward to this, but this woman has been here five minutes and about to meet Mistress of Darkness herself, she shouldn't be alone.
"Sounds easy enough" she said and took a deep breath and let it out "alright, lets do this" she said as she was about to call Ravens name out but instead a pony showed up in front of her, a pony with tattered wings and and an evil smirk on her face.
"Hello children, may I eat your soul?"

The two stood there, shocked, looking at this woman who just basically told them that they were going to die with her feasting on their soul and slowly Juliet turned her head to look at Romeo "wh...whose this?" She asked, feeling a little scared not only at this womans question, there was something about her that she didn't want to question, something about her that said she would do just as she said but also because of her appearance.
"This is one pony I hadn't told you about yet, at least, not exactly, I mentioned her as Ravens sister but didn't say anything more" he said as he too was feeling scared "this is Shadow, a pony who escaped a high security prison and survived on eating the spirits of the departed who still hung around because they had unfinished business...at least that is the rumor anyway."
"Oh, no rumor, that is actually true, who needs jail house food when you have so many dead spirits around you? Dead spirits from the inmates of that prison who have killed themselves off, it was pretty much a buffet of spirits every day, those who already died or those who were freshly new, the ones who just may have killed themselves in some form whilst sitting in jail, it was always fun to pick and choose who to eat and now I get to have two more" she evilly grinned at them "so, who wants to die first?"
"Shadow, stop that!" A disembodied voice said as another pony popped into existence in front of them "what have I told you about herd ponies?"
Shadow sighed "they are not to be killed or eaten." She said as she sat down and looked at her sister.
"Good, now, go kill another pony and eat their spirit but take any bodies with you back to the Estate, you know we can always do with more dead around the place to experiment on" she said as Shadow nodded "sure sis" she said as she opened up a portal and was starting to head through it when Raven stopped her.
"And Shadow" she said as Shadow turned around and looked her "yes, Ray Ray?"
"Stay out of my parlor, you know you are not allowed in there, that is my personal space, I rarely even let Phantom in there"
Shadow pouted "fine!" She said as she walked back over to Raven and nuzzled her "love you" she said, you wouldn't expect to see such affection from Raven and her sister but there it was, both actually nuzzling each other and saying that they loved each other.
"I love you to, Shad" she said, nuzzling back, both sisters smiling at each other and just looking fondly at each other before Shadow left, closing the portal behind her.
Romeo and Juliet stood there in shock, seeing the two sisters be affectionate with each other seemed like a foreign thing to be, sure they acknowledged each other as sisters, obviously, but seeing them ACT in a sisterly fashion? It just didn't seem like it should be something those two did, it didn't seem like they had a close bond, or any bond for that matter, like other sisters so it seemed strange to see them act that way.
"Now, what is it that you want?" She asked, smiling at the two. Yes, even she can have her kind days, it was a rather rare occurrence that she would seem like a normal Dream Valley pony, she enjoys the bad girl side WAY too much to let it go and, besides that, it is what she is known for, she IS a murderer, she IS a torturer, she IS as nasty as they come, but, sometimes, even she can feel like she was having the greatest day in the world and nothing can bring her down and back to the evil side. Besides, when she is like this, it makes having her kids hate her for it all the more fun to watch, most of them just want to stay away from her when she gets in these sorts of moods as it wasn't normal for her and she enjoyed reviling in them being afraid of her when she is in this state.
"You sure this is the Raven you told me about?" She asked Romeo, ignoring that this Raven seemed kind, just like any other pony in the Valley.
"Oh yes, this is Raven Stoneheart, herd leader and one of the most evilest ponies you will ever meet."
Juliet was finding this a little odd, if this was who he said it was then she was wondering if she had another sister, a twin perhaps? Because this didn't seem like the worlds most evilest pony at all but ignoring that, feeling at ease more so then she was before, she was here to introduce herself so she might as well get it over with. "Good afternoon, Miss Stoneheart" she said bowing to her "I am Juliet and am new here and I thought it would be polite to introduce myself to you and ask if I could please have a place in your herd" she asked, standing upright again and looked at her.
Raven smiled at the female and nodded "sure, I have way too many in this herd as it is but I have gotten used to new comers by now that just seem to turn up and somehow join this herd but it is the first time someone has actually asked for my permission and actually wanted to introduce themselves to me, usually they join, hear about me and just want to stay away from me but it is nice to actually see someone have manners" she said, actually serious about this, it was a nice change. "So yes, you may have a place in this herd and thank you for being polite about it" Raven said as she opened up a portal "now, if you two will please excuse me I have a beheading to take care of" she said happily as she started walking through it.
If Romeo didn't find Ravens kind demeanor creepy before he did now! Her not being her usual evil self, hearing her be happy in the 'normal good pony way' about a beheading was creepier more so now, sure he knew Raven was always in a good mood when she had a beheading to do or whatever but that was usually happy in still the evil blood lust and mad kind of way but hearing her be happy about blood lust when she is acting like a good, wholesome Dream Valley pony was just down right creepier then hearing her say it in her normal way.
"Thank you" Juliet called just as the portal closed and she looked at Romeo "well that was easier then expected, granted, not sure what to actually make of her, I mean, I was expecting someone like her sister, cruel and evil and...well, the complete opposite of what we just saw".
"Believe me" Romeo said, pleased Raven had finally gone and looked toward the purple pony "so was I, don't know what happened with her but apparently we just entered the Twilight Zone and we didn't even know it" he said as he turned to head toward the lake "come on, I will give you a tour" he said as he decided that this would be a nice distraction from creepy Raven.
"Sure" Juliet said as she followed, pleased at least that she now at least had a herd.

Over the coming weeks Juliet and Romeo spent more and more time together, they were enjoying each others company and Juliet actually thought he was sweet, even if he was a player, but he was being himself around her, he didn't feel like he had to impress her or try and make her date her or anything like that, for some strange reason he didn't feel like he had to try so hard to get her to like her and her certainly didn't think about trying to hit on her either, the two just enjoyed being with each other and which was nice for Romeo as he hadn't felt like he needed or wanted to be this way around anyone else ever since he grew up. when they were together they both confided in each other some of their deepest darkest secrets and maybe, just maybe, he may even have started to feel more toward her then just friendship, she was beautiful and strong and and and yet could be the sweetest, meekest girl at the same time, she was a joy to be around and and he was sure she felt the same way but then, with his track record with woman, maybe he didn't know them at all.
"Juliet" he asked as they were eating a picnic lunch under a tree by the lake "may I ask you something?"
Juliet smiled at Romeo and nodded "of course you can" she said as she took a bite of a cupcake that was in front of her.
Romeo swallowed hard, did he REALLY want to put himself out there? Maybe it was too soon, but then again it wasn't like he was wanting to whip her away and marry her right then and there, but still, was he really wanting to upset the balance that they have with each other?
"Romeo?" Juliet questioned, speaking up at the long pause the other had given her, wondering if everything was alright.
Romeo looked at her and smiled, realizing that he had been quite for too long "sorry" he said as he took a deep breath and asked her "Juliet, I know we haven't known each other for long but I love being around you, I enjoy our time together but I was just wondering if you would like to go a step further? Would...would you care to go out with me? As in a proper date?" He asked, regretting now that he had asked and hearing himself say what he did he thought it sounded lame and he was thinking that he could of at least worded it better even if he was going to regret it but then he guessed that if he was going to be shot down he wouldn't matter how he worded it.
Juliet smiled bigger at him and nodded "yes, yes I would love to go out with you" she said as she lent over and kissed his cheek "I may be a modern girl but even I could never find the guts to ask any guy out so I am pleased you have asked me as I have, admittedly, started having feelings for you as well, you are nothing like the other guys I have come across in the past, just wanting to have one night stands or just friendship with benefits..."
Romeo interrupted "wait, that was an option!? Damn it! Now I wish I didn't open my mouth!" He joked, making Juliet giggle a little, that smile, that beautiful smile that lit up her face and made her eyes beautiful and bright more so, that was a smile he could never want to stop looking at.
"Romeo" she said as he shook her head a little "seriously now, thank you for just being yourself" she said as she lent over and kissed his cheek "it is all any woman wants, just a guy who is themselves around her" she said as she finished her cupcake and then looked disproovingly at him "and believe me, from the stories I have heard and the disgusted looks I have seen you get from some of the woman in this herd, you were always anything but, always thinking you could force your way into their lives by a rose and some bad pick up line, you came across as almost creepy and stalkerish, thank goodness you were not like that with me or else you may have ended up in Doctor Sohma's office."
Romeo shrunk back a little, clearly embarrassed "s...so you heard about that then" he said as she nodded.
"Mmm hmmm" she said with a stern look on her face which then subsided into a smile "but don't worry, I won't hold it against you, besides, I love this you, the you they were never lucky to see because you just had to try and be the forceful lover type, thank you for that" she said as she nudged the last piece of chocolate cake over to him. "Though, after you finish that, I have done something that I think it is overdue to having been done" she said, knowing he wasn't going to like it but if he wished to move on and just spend his time with her instead of him getting dirty looks everywhere he goes then it needs to be done.
Romeo had just swallowed his first bite of the cake and looked at her "yes, what is it?" He asked curiously.
"In half an hour I have set up a meeting with every single woman you tried to hit on and disgusted or offended and I want you to apologize to them, I know that you don't want to but I am sorry, this needs to be done, it is only fair to them that you do this and, afterwards, we can both move on together and you may win some woman friends in this herd yet,"
Romeo sighed and he hated that she had done this though, even he knew it had to be done he was just too gutless to do so "alright, I will do it but not for you but for myself and the woman, I always knew it should be done but I am just too gutless to have done it myself so I guess I am thankful, at least, for you having done it for me?"
"You are welcome, I will be there to support you, don't worry and afterward I will make you an ice cream sundae, Lemonade has gone out for the day with her family and the only two that will be home will be Maria and Starbright and Lemonade said I could use her kitchen and, if we wished, we can have it in front of their fireplace in the reception hall. She would of just given me some ice cream and toppings etc but that would of been a bother packing it all up and carting it to us so she just allowed us use of her home for an hour or so but we just have to clean up after us as this is technically Maria and Starlights time off and she and I have become quite close, besides you, she and I have practically ended up being best friends, ice cream really does bring two ponies together" she said, smiling at him."
"Lemonades ice cream, so I have heard, is the best!" He said, grinning at her like a child who had just been allowed to enter a candy store and pick out whatever he wanted and however much he wanted "but I have never actually been able to taste any..." he said, saddened at that, everyone else in the herd has...well, 98% of ponies have anyway, but he has not and the only other ones who havent are Ravens family and friends but that was more a 'I shall never eat anything SHE'S made' more then a actual hate for her frozen treats or ice cream in general.
"I wonder why, she was one of the ponies you cared to hit on even though she said she was happily taken, you were rather annoying persistent in wanting to date her"
Romeo felt his cheeks redden and heat up some more, no wonder those two were now best friends, talking about what he did would of given Juliet a great insight on what he used to do, true they would of spoken about other things sooner or later which made them close as well, but it did all come back to how he used to treat the woman in the herd but couldn't say anything.
"But come, eat up, we have work to do, though the apology to Lemonade will have to come at a later date, as I said, she is away for the day, but at least we can use her kitchen" she said as she grabbed a rather large slice of strawberry cheesecake, added a rather large helping of whipped cream and started to eat it.

Romeo finished the slice of cake he was eating and then sighed, picking up everything and started to place it into the basket "I will just drop this off at the castle and then I guess we can get going" he said as Juliet nodded and stood up.
"Of course, I said to the woman that we would meet in Raven's clearing in the woods, it will also give you a little more privacy" she said as Romeo finished and nodded, walking back to the castle, leaving the basket there and then ran back to Juliet "right, lets get this over with" he said, hating that he had to do this but at the same time he knew he should.
Juliet started off towards the woods, Romeo following, she looked behind her as he trotted up to walk in time with her and she lent over and nuzzled him "everything will be fine, I swear" she said as he sighed, knowing she was right but still, he couldn't help but feel nervous about it either.
As the two reached the clearing Romeo spoke the Latin phrase to open it and inside he was greeted with many faces staring back at him which made him just shrink back and wished he was able to just leave but he took a deep breath and walked to the front of them all to which he was greeted with looks of impatience as if to say that they had better things to do even if this was all that they wanted, this was Romeo, none of them wanted to really hear from him ever again.
"Can I just say something please?" A voice spoke up,
