Vikali liked being home more than he did wandering the rogue lands. He just preferred the steady pace of life in this pride, and the things he had grown accustomed to. Dependable things were important to him.

He was all about things that remained.

That had actually been his focus when he left the pride to explore the rogue lands this last time. He wanted to find a way to make sure his blood and his family endured in the mortal realm, as he knew his immortality would keep him always in the world of the gods.

But to be a part of the realm of mortals was a different problem. They did not last as long as he would, and to ensure his line had the best chance, he needed to find females to bear his cubs, all throughout the rogue lands. It made sense to him, anyway.

Today, though, he was being less cautious than he should have been in his home. Generally, he hide and masked his appearance, and no one knew there was a God living among them. Since he was away from the main island and was in the mountain passes, he was still traveling as a God, wings folded against his back as he walked along leisurely. The snow felt good under his paws.
