  "You're full of crap dad." Aquos shook his head as he poured his father another drink. Another long tall tale from the light blue angel. Just like old times. "First of all I fish in the lake just about every day and I've never seen a fish that big. Secondly, I'm not a little kid anymore. I can see through your story now. Come on dad you can do better than that."Zinous looked offended at his own boy, his arms were outstretched as much as they could be. "I'm telling you boy, the head of this thing was THIS big!" Zinous let out a hearty laugh before dropping his arms. "Ah come on, you used to love my stories. Kids really do grow up so fast...Though it wasn't suppose to happen to my own!" He threw back his head and laughed once again. "Ah, enough about my stories of adventure and heroic acts and your mother, what have you been up to boy?" Zinous leaned in slightly, excited to hear what his son had been doing.Aquos ran a hand through his hair and tried not to sigh. Where to begin? The fact his father just seemed to show up out of no where and nearly bear hugged him to death was strange enough but...It was nice to see him again. Great even. He had missed the man that raised him. Just talking like nothing was wrong in the world.
"Well...There was a party and then I got this..Bird thing that I raised...Then there was a party the next year and I ended up fathering two kids and...That's really it."Zinous frowned. He was a grandfather? But the way his son was talking was just..So vague. Something was off. "Aquos. You're hiding something from me." Zinous sat back in his chair, staring at his boy with his arms crossed against his chest."I'm not hiding anything!""You're a terrible liar. Come on, I'm your father. What happened?"Aquos became quiet as he mulled over his options. If this didn't cement his father's doubts nothing would. He let out a sigh and shifted in his seat slightly. Maybe it was time to talk about it? It might help him a bit...
"Well...I was married."

"Wha-"
"WAS married." Aquos not only cut off his father but stressed his words. Aquos watched his father lean back, waiting to hear the rest. Aquos let out a small sigh before slumping back in his chair. "The first party, I took someone to it. They were new to the island so you know...Just wanted to be nice. Well some crazy power lady showed up, pissed at the host and the next thing anyone knew we were in some sorta hedge maze. We wondered around and ran into the god of marriage and...Found ourselves married. I made the mistake of asking her to remain married, we should have right ended it right then really. I got an egg on my door step after the party, hatched during the night into Skyla...The bird thing I mentioned...We raised her together as difficult as Skyla was and then...Got divorced. Not much else too it really."
Zinous silently listened to his son's story, thinking. Something...Something still wasn't right. Something was off. "Well...Why the divorce if you two were raising a child?"
Aquos looked away from his father for a moment, biting his lip. How could he explain this. " I guess because we were just from two different worlds? We really only got to see each other sometimes...I was pretty much just raising Skyla myself."
Zinous crossed his arms over his chest. "Your mother and I are from two different worlds but that didn't stop us from having you and your sister. Though it was a huge mistake raising you two apart....We realised that when it was too late." Zinous still wasn't happy with what his son was telling him. "What do you mean you 'guess'?"
Aquos sighed as he just gave up. "I don't know dad, ok? I got a note saying we were divorced and she hasn't responded to me since. I don't know what I did or why it happened, all I know is it was over from that moment on and it's bummed me out since."
"What...A note?" Zinous furrowed his brow as Aquos nodded to his question. The two sat in silence for a moment before Zinous slammed his hand down on the table. "A NOTE? ARE YOU SERIOUS? THERE ARE ANIMALS RAISED IN BARNS WITH BETTER MANNERS THEN THAT!" The out burst made Aquos jump in his seat, causing him to sit up straight. Zinous wasn't done, his face was full of pure disgust. "A note what has this world come to OF COURSE YOU FEEL BUMMED OUT that is the lowest thing I have EVER heard and boy have I been around the island. ANYONE who had a SHRED of affection in their body would have at least had the COURAGE to talk to you face to face because you have a RIGHT Aquos. You had the right to know even if it wasn't a typical marriage. You were family whether she liked it or not...And what about Skyla? What kind of heartless monster just...Drops everything an abandons a child she was raises? I just...Can't even." Zinous seethed as he tried to wrap his head around the whole situation. "A note..COME ON!"
Aquos raised his hands slightly, afraid of his father. He couldn't remember any time he had seen him so mad before. "Dad...It's ok-" Aquos barely managed to get his words out before Zinous cut him off.
"No. That's not ok. That's NEVER ok. That's being some heartless coward. You know what? I'm glad you go divorced because you, my boy, are SO much better then that and you DESERVE so much better then that. Only the lowest scum in the world pull s**t like that. What a selfish b***h." He spat out his last words, thinking. It took him only a moment and he looked his boy straight in the eyes. "You know what? I know what will make you feel better. Your family. Your REAL family that cares about you. You said you had kids? Invite them. We'll have a get together. I'll tell your mom to find some nice naiad girls that are worth your time."
Aquos covered his face with his hands and shook his head. "Please no dad...Don't get mom involved." Aquos let out a sigh, looking off to the side. "It would be nice to see mom again."
"Well then it's settled!" Zinous boomed which once again startled Aquos. At least he didn't seem as mad any more. "We'll have it this weekend. Chin up kid, there are pae here that do care for it. It will be a fun relaxing day. Give you something to look forward to."
"If it keeps you from getting angry again I'll look forward to anything."
