          Guild Rules and Policies
The Rules and Policies that must be followed in Death of an Aberration.

This Guild's Rules are split into Golden Rules, Forum Rules, Crew Rules and Game Rules.
Golden Rules are our most important rules, and carry heavy punishments for their breaching.
Forum Rules cover rules specific to the Forums and Threads that make up our Guild, where you can post, and what you shouldn't do, where.
Crew Rules cover rules specific to the Crew Members of the Guild, detailing what they are and are not allowed to do with their Crew Status.
Game Rules cover rules specific to Roleplaying here, participating in missions, leveling up your character and playing the game with us.

The Guild's Policies are listed separately in their own post, and cover things like Honorable and Dishonorable Demotions, our Punishment System, and Level Limits.

[Golden Rule] | Follow Gaiaonline.com's Terms of Service.
Although it is listed in the gaiaonline.com Terms of Service, we must remind you:
                   • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or defraud other Gaia Members.
                   • Do not post or send any illegal, unsafe, racist, disrespectful, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate or offensive content.
                   • Do not impersonate another Gaian or make attempts to access their account without permission (this includes hacking).
                   • Do not bot gold or items or script with the intention of interfering with the function of Gaia or any other Gaian's account (this also means scripting in order to harm someone
or their account in any way).

Keep in mind that disrespectful and offensive content does include anti-homosexual statements, racism and age discrimination. These statements will get you in trouble.

Anyone who endangers this Guild by posting content that breaches the Gaiaonline.com TOS will be permanently banned from the Guild instantly, and the breach will be reported
to Gaiaonline.com Staff so that the person can be dealt with.

Punishments for breaching this rule are severe, and can range from a warning, to an instant and permanent ban.

User Image
[Golden Rule] | Rumorspreading, Abuse and Socially Destructive Behaviors are forbidden.
Gaiaonline.com's Terms of Service do already state that you must not post or send any disrespectful or offensive content, but we feel this can be expanded upon for this Guild.

Rumorspreading is strictly forbidden. In this Guild, a rumor is considered to be any information or message sent to others with the intent to harm a person or their reputation. It
doesn't matter if the information is true or not, or if the information is sent by a Crew Member or not. All that matters is if the intent was to harm the person or their reputation.
How can we claim the intent was present? By looking at the content of the message. If the message contains slanderous, hateful or offensive language, it will be deemed as
intentionally harmful, and the sender will have breached this rule.

Socially Destructive Behaviors can be defined as any behavior that carries the intent to harm a person's reputation. This can include messaging others and spreading rumors, or
encouraging people to avoid a person, or to mistreat a person, or to exclude a person. Anything that encourages the mistreatment or exclusion of a person. It doesn't matter who
the target of the socially destructive behavior is, be them a regular Member or the Guild Leader. It also doesn't matter if you think they deserve it. Any socially destructive
behavior that is shown in the Guild is punishable, regardless of any other circumstances. When the Guild Leader needs to grant punishments, they are only allowed to give the
punishment, explain which rules were breached, and briefly explain why the punishment was given, without any hateful or offensive language.

Punishments for breaching this rule are severe, and can range from a warning, to an instant and permanent ban.

User Image
[Golden Rule] | One Gaia Account in the Guild per person, no exceptions.
You may only have one Gaia Account in this Guild at a time. You are not permitted to have more than one Gaia Account as a Guild Member here, under any circumstances. You in
the Guild and your Character in the Game hold the same Rank, as if you were one entity. If you are a Deltix Officer, then that means that your Guild Rank is Deltix, and your
character's Rank is Deltix. If you are promoted or demoted, then your Character is too.

Never mislead anyone here about your identity. Using an alternate account here at the same time as another of your accounts is against our rules, and is punishable. If you have
punishments on your record, and try to use an alternate account in order to start with a clean slate, without punishments, and without following the proper Policies to clear your
slate, you and all your alternate accounts will be permanently banned on the spot. If you don't get along with any other Guild Member(s) and you use an alternate account to
mislead them about your identity, you and all your alternate accounts will be permanently banned on the spot. If you in any way attempt to cheat in the game, or circumvent
punishments or any decision made by the Guild Leader, by using alternate accounts or misleading us about your identity, you and all your alternate accounts will be permanently
banned on the spot. Once you have been permanently banned, there is no way to return to the Guild ever again.

               * The Guild Leader may be excepted from this rule in order to have NPC Accounts or a Guild Mule (for security purposes) in place.

Punishments for breaching this rule are severe, and can range from a warning, to an instant and permanent ban.

User Image
[Golden Rule] | Never share your Gaia Account with anyone.
Sharing of Gaia Accounts is strictly forbidden. Do not share your account with anyone -- it doesn't matter who they are -- do not share it with them. Anything your Gaia Account
posts in the Guild, any Guild Rules that your Gaia Account breaches, will be put on your permanent record, no matter what the circumstances are regarding who was using your
account at the time. What your Gaia Account does is your responsibility. If someone knows your Password, explain to them why they cannot continue using your account, and then
change your password so that your account is secure.

If ever your Gaia Account posts something which breaches our rules, and the Gaia Account (i.e. you) gets punished for it, you may not use the excuse "but it wasn't me using the
account at the time" -- you will still be punished because what your Gaia Account does is your responsibility. Make it secure.

Punishments for breaching this rule are severe, and can range from a warning, to an instant and permanent ban.

User Image
[Golden Rule] | Do not steal from this Guild.
All content posted in this Guild, including game systems, are expressly the property of their creators. They do not belong to this Guild itself -- they belong to their creators, and
this Guild has permission to use them until such time as the creators say otherwise.

All Guild Systems (such as this Thread and the Guild Ranklist) and Game Systems (including Combat, Exploration, the EXP System, the Plot and Mission Designs) in this Guild
have been created by Siel Kosane, and so are expressly his property, not the property of a Guild, other person, or entity. This Guild is permitted, by Siel Kosane, to use the game
systems, until such time as he says otherwise.

Members of this Guild are permitted to use the Guild Systems and Game Systems here only, so long as this Guild is permitted to use them by Siel Kosane. Guild Members
must not use any images, Guild Systems or Game Systems anywhere else, no matter if it is on Gaiaonline.com or not.

No other Guilds are permitted to use any of the Guild Systems or Game Systems contained within this Guild, unless expressly permitted by Siel Kosane, and even then, are only
permitted to, up until Siel Kosane says otherwise. If you are ordered to remove the content, then you must.

Anyone, whether they are a Gaiaonline.com member or not, who uses the Guild Systems or Game Systems placed in this Guild without Siel Kosane's explicit permission, is
committing Intellectual Property Theft. All intellectual property theft will be reported and dealt with severely.

Gaiaonline Staff have deactivated / banned Gaia Accounts in the past for Intellectual Property Theft, and have deactivated entire Guilds where stolen works have been placed.
If you do not have permission to use the Systems, Graphics, or Designs (this includes original ideas for the guild ranklist, missions, combat, exploration, exp, etc), then do not
use them. Using them without permission is stealing. You will get caught, and you could lose your Gaia Account or your whole Guild. Do not do it.

Punishments for breaching this rule are severe, and can range from a warning, to an instant and permanent ban. Guilds and Gaia Accounts can also be deactivated for intellectual
               property theft.

User Image
[Golden Rule] | Keep your Gaia Account secure at all times.
It is very important to protect your account from those who would seek to take it from you. Its up to you to familiarise yourself with several ways to ensure your account never
gets stolen. Gaiaonline.com will sometimes release Announcements, or make Threads in their Forums, detailing how you can better protect your account, but here are a few
of the best ways, to get you started.

Always check the page URL whenever you type in your password. If it is not a URL you recognise, or not a URL belonging to Gaia Online, do not type your password there.
Many Password Phishers create web pages that look like Gaia Online pages that ask for your password, but the URL will never be the same as "Gaiaonline.com" or the like.
If it is not from Gaia Online, it is very likely that you're on a Password Phishing Site. The only way they can get your password is if you type it in and give it to them. Don't. The
best thing to do is to close your window and reopen a new one with the correct address, or just type "Gaiaonline.com" and go from there.

Be wary of external links in PMs. Many Password Phishers will direct you to their fake password page by giving you a link to it in a PM, promising free gold or items. Even if
you get such a PM from a friend of yours, never type your password on the next page. Its possible that your friend did that, and now the Password Phisher is using their account
to earn your trust, so you will click the link and type in your password. No matter what, never go to sites that promise free gold or items. There is quite simply no legitimate way
to get free gold or items aside from the ways that Gaiaonline.com allows (for example, completing surveys for Gaia Cash). If someone says there is, they are trying to trick you.

Gaiaonline Staff will never ask you for your password. Many Password Phishers will also try to PM you, claiming to be a Staff Member of Gaiaonline.com, demanding your
Password, threatening that they will deactivate or block your account if you don't give it to them. This is a scam, and they are not a Staff Member of Gaiaonline.com, even if
the Gaia Logo appears in the PM. Gaia Staff do not need your password in order to check your account for rule breaching content, or message histories, or possible involvement
with hackers or gold botters. They don't need your password -- they can just check, instantly. Gaia Staff are also not permitted to ask Members for their personal information,
including their password. If someone asks for your password, simply do not give it to them. If you do, they will steal your account. Simple as that.

Consider changing your password each now and then. One of the oldest and simplest ways to prevent others accessing your account is to change your password. Even if they
got your old password, it won't work once you change to your new one. If you'd rather not do this, for fear of forgetting your password, then at least try making your password
very, very difficult to guess. Use a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and punctuation (!, ?, #, $, _, etc), to create a very hard-to-crack password.
To make it easy for you to remember, you could include numbers you'll never forget, like the house number of your childhood house, or the birthday of your favorite scientist, or
even better, both, one after the other. Just please, don't make your password "password1" or "zxcvbnm", because such passwords are usually the first things password phishers
                   will try when guessing.

Consider using Gaiaonline's Security measures, located in your Gaia Account Preferences. http://www.gaiaonline.com/account/preferences/
Turning on some or all of these Security Measures will make it much, much harder for anyone else to get a hold of your account, even if they do get their hands on your
password. Turning on "IP Verification" is definitely recommended if you only access Gaiaonline.com from one or two computers at home. Each time you try to log in from a new
location, you'll need to confirm that it is you trying to log in, by reading an email at your nominated email address. Anyone who doesn't have access to your email address,
can't gain access to your Gaia Account.

If your Account is suspected to have been stolen, or is sending PMs to others in an attempt to Phish Passwords from them, your account will be instantly banned from the Guild.
If you later recover your account and make it secure once again, and we confirm that it is indeed you in control of the account, you will be reinvited back.

[Forum Rule] | Keep in-character language tasteful.
This generally equates to "don't go swearing too much". Characters can, so long as the intentions are for Roleplaying, and not for abuse, mistreat other characters or curse
at them, etc -- again, only if for the purpose of actually roleplaying. However, please keep in-character cursing light; feel free to say "s**t!", "Damnit!" or "Son of a b***h!", have
your character call a betrayer "You a*****e!" and whatnot, but please don't use the F-word or the C-word. You know the ones. Also, even though it is in-character, please refrain
from using language that some races or sexual orientations may find offensive, for example the use of homophobic statements or an insult directed at a particular race. Even if
its just your character saying it, you never know who it could offend, and how badly. Best to keep the language light and the topics respectful. Use those "damnit all to hell!"s
for when your rocket launcher misses.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | Do not post where you are not welcome.
Many Threads in this Guild are Missions, Exploration and Battles being Roleplayed in by Guild Members. Such areas will tend to have a notice in the first post saying "Please
do not post here if you are not on the list!" -- the usernames who are on the list tend to be those who initially started the Thread, or who are participating in the mission or battle.
If your name is not on the list, do not post and interfere with the gameplay. If there is no list, its best to ask first if you are welcome to post there. Threads where anyone
can post will tend to have the statement "Anyone can post here!"

Intentionally posting in other people's Threads in an attempt to ruin their experience here will be met with serious punishment.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | You must gain permission from the Guild Leader in order to post new Threads in the Main Hall.
The Main Hall is organised so that Members have an easy time finding reference material (such as our Weapons, Equipment and Perks System, or the Guild Ranklist), and
keeping up-to-date with the Guild's latest Announcements. It is not the place for you to start new Threads whenever you like. You are welcome to start Threads as much as
you like in the Off-Topic Subforum, so long as their content does not breach any of our rules, but in order to post a Thread in the Main Hall, no matter what it is for, you must
first gain the Guild Leader's Permission.

In order to gain the Guild Leader's permission, you need to PM them and offer at least a short summary of the Thread you'd like to post, and why you'd like to post it. Often,
if permission is granted, the Guild Leader will be happy to help you create the Thread, or will volunteer to craft a Guild Announcement for it (though this is decided on a
case-by-case basis). Things like competitions you'd like to host are often welcome, so long as the competition is run fairly, but as always, you must gain permission first.

If you do not gain permission, please do not post the new Thread in the Main Hall. You are welcome to make a new Thread in the Off-Topic Subforum and then post in the Main
Hall Chatter Thread, or your Squad, asking people to take a look at it. This will not count as "Advertising" (see the Forum Rule below regarding advertising), since you are
advertising something that is in this Guild. You are welcome to ask people to go to Threads in this Guild all you like -- but if asked by a Crew Member or above not to do it in
specific areas, please follow the instruction.

Crew Members must also get permission from the Guild Leader before making a Thread in the Main Hall. Ask first.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | You must gain permission from the Squad Leader or the Guild Leader in order to post new Threads in a Squad.
If you are a Member of a Squad, you may post in any of the Threads in that Squad, unless the Threads say otherwise. For example, some Squad Threads will say "Please
do not post here!". You may post in other Squads so long as the Thread in question says "Anyone may post here!". There will always be some areas that are for Squad
Members only -- so if you aren't a Member of that Squad, you can't post there. Be sure to read the first few posts of the Thread to be sure if you are allowed to post there.

If you are a Nouveminae Rank, you do not have a Squad, however you do still have a Subforum to post in if you wish. The Subforum for Nouveminaes does not have an Alpha
Guard running it, and so you may post new Threads there if you like (only if you are a Nouveminae), so long as their content does not breach our Rules. If you wish to post in
other Squads, please check the first few posts of the Thread you wish to post in, and make sure you are allowed to post there.

In order to post a new Thread in any Squad (whether its the Squad you're in or not), you must gain permission from the Squad Leader who leads the Squad, or the Guild
Leader. If you gain permission, you may post your Thread there, and the Squad Leader (if they are Alpha Guard Rank, and are a Crew Member) or the Guild Leader can
"Sticky" or "Announcement" your thread for you, if needed. If you do not gain permission, please do not post a new Thread there.

Anyone can post in any Squad or the Nouveminae Subforum, in any Thread that says "Anyone can post here!". Only Squad Members can post in Threads that say "Squad
Members only!", and only Nouveminaes can post in Threads that say "Nouveminaes only!". Nobody except Crew Members and above can post in Threads that say "Do not
post here!". Check the first few posts to be sure.

Anyone can post a new Thread in any Squad, or the Nouveminae Subforum, if they gain permission from the Squad Leader or the Guild Leader first.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | Alpha Guards and 1st Lieutenants may freely post in any Squad's "Squad Members Only!" Threads.
Alpha Guards and 1st Lieutenants from any Squad may post in any other Squad's "Squad Members only!" Threads, however they must still respect that Squad's Leader's
wishes if they are asked not to post there anymore. This rule is in place to promote Alpha Guards and 1st Lieutenants exploring other Squads and interacting with other Squad
Leaders, but not if it disrupts a Thread beyond what that Squad's Leader is comfortable with.

Alpha Guards and 1st Lieutenants, like any other members, are not permitted to post in any "Nouveminaes only!" Threads in the Nouveminae Subforum, though.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | Obey the Guild Leader's requests for posting in the Guild.
Regardless of any other factor, if the Guild Leader requests that you no longer post in a Thread, you must obey. If you feel that someone, whether they were initially welcome
in the Thread or not, is ruining your experience or causing trouble in your Thread, ask the Guild Leader to request for them to leave. If they are asked to leave and they refuse,
               they can be punished.

Any other request the Guild Leader makes regarding posting in the Guild must be followed.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Forum Rule] | Please do not advertise other Guilds, Roleplays, or Websites.
Its quite fine to say in a post that you're going to go post in x Guild, or x Thread on Gaia, or enter x Competition somewhere else. You may even provide a link to where you're
going in case someone wants to follow along. However, please do not go advertising other Guilds, Roleplays or Websites by providing a link and asking people to join, or
to come along. Asking other people to join your Guild, or your Roleplay Thread outside of this Guild, or your Website, will result in us removing your post and issuing you a
warning. This is not a place for you to advertise. You may state in conversation that you're going to go post in x Guild, but please don't actively advertise it, asking people to
               join it.

You are welcome to advertise for Threads or Events that are in this Guild, however if a Crew Member or above asks that you not do so in specific areas, please follow the
               instruction.

Punishments for breaching this rule are light, normally only earning a warning, but if you repeat this offense or refuse to follow the rule, you can earn serious punishments.

User Image
[Crew Rule] | Crew Members may not issue punishments to Guild Members.
All punishments are given by the Guild Leader only. Regardless of if you are a Crew Member or not, if a Guild Member has breached a Rule, please alert the Guild Leader of
the rulebreach and provide proof. It is usually best to screenshot the post where the rulebreach took place, since if you just provide a link to the post, the post could have been
edited by the time the Guild Leader views it.

If you are a Crew Member, there is a Thread in the Crew Subforum for reporting rule breaches. Please post proof of the rulebreach there. You may request a specific punishment
be given, though ultimately the decision will be up to the Guild Leader. The Guild Leader will take recommendations on board and make decisions on a case-by-case basis.

If you feel the Guild Leader has been too gentle or too harsh when giving a punishment, you may contact them directly via PM or post in the "Requests for Reviewed Action"
Thread in the Crew Subforum. The Thread exists so that Crew Members can request that a matter that the Guild Leader has already dealt with, be reviewed by the Guild
Leader. If the Guild Leader agrees with your argument for reviewed action, they will change the action that was taken for a specific event (such as a rulebreach), however
please respect that the Guild Leader's decision is final. You can re-request for reviewed action as you please, but just be mindful that the Guild Leader must make the
               final decision each time.

User Image
[Crew Rule] | Crew Members can grant warnings, and edit Guild Members' posts in order to remove offensive content.
Typically, rulebreaching content should be screenshotted, and then removed from the post, so that the screenshots can be submitted as proof of the rulebreach in the Crew
Subforum. However, there will be times where a Crew Member will instead want to give a Guild Member a warning and remove the content, and leave it at that. Crew Members
are not permitted to grant punishments, but they may grant warnings. Guild Members who are given warnings must follow all reasonable instructions given by the Crew
Member(s) so that they do not breach our rules.

User Image
[Crew Rule] | Crew Members can ban or remove Guild Members only in specific situations.
Any Crew Member can use the Guild Memberlist's "Ban" or "Remove" functions to ban or remove a Guild Member, but only under the following conditions:
The Guild Member requested to be removed from the Guild; use the "Remove" function.
The Guild Member posted content that breaches the Gaia TOS in such a way that it endangers the Guild (i.e. pornographic material, for example); use the "Ban" function,
screenshot the content, and then remove the content by editing the post. Post proof of the rulebreach in the appropriate Thread in the Crew Subforum but do not post any
explicit material. Show it only if necessary, outside of Gaia (for example through Skype). The Guild Member will be given three strikes (and permanently banned) by the Guild
Leader and then reported to Gaia Staff.
The Guild Member has attempted to link other Members to a password phishing website, or any website that claims to give free Gaia Gold, Gaia Cash, or Items in an attempt
to gain access to their account; use the "Ban" function, screenshot the content, and then remove the content by editing the post. Post proof of the rulebreach in the
appropriate Thread in the Crew Subforum. The Guild Member will be given three strikes (and permanently banned) by the Guild Leader and then reported to Gaia Staff.
There is reasonable evidence to suggest the Guild Member's account has been seized by a hacker, scripter or password phisher; use the "Remove" function, screenshot the
evidence, and post the evidence in the appropriate Thread in the Crew Subforum. The account will be reported to Gaia Staff and they can further ascertain if the account
should be deactivated. If sufficient proof is seen to show that the account is only in the control of it's owner, and is not a threat, the account can be reinvited back.
The Guild Member posts socially destructive content in an attempt to damage another's reputation or harm them in any way (e.g. private messages or private instant-
messaging chats without the other participant's permission, or someone's personal information); use the "Remove" function, screenshot the content, remove the content by
editing the post, and post the evidence in the appropriate Thread in the Crew Subforum. The Guild Member will be punished accordingly by the Guild Leader. If their
punishment record then holds less than three strikes, they will be reinvited back into the Guild. If not, then they won't be permitted back.

User Image
[Crew Rule] | Squad Leaders may give permission for Guild Members (regardless of their Rank or Squad) to post in their Squad.
Squad Leaders lead the Squads of this Guild, and essentially rule over their Squad Subforums, and are able to decide what Threads exist in their Subforums. Squad Leaders
may request that members stop posting in their Squad Subforum, or grant permission for Members to post in Threads in their Squad, even if the Thread itself normally says
"Squad Members only!". If you give a non-Squad Member permission to post in such a place, please add a note to the first post of the Thread saying which Guild Members
are permitted to post in the Thread, despite not being in the Squad. Guild Members can also get the Guild Leader's permission to post in certain Threads -- and if permission
is granted, the Guild Leader will edit the first post of the Thread to show that they're allowed to post.

[Roleplaying Rule] | No player-made Items, Perks, Enemies or Missions.
Death of an Aberration is essentially a Roleplaying Game created by Siel Kosane. Siel balances all of the systems himself in order to ensure that Missions follow the plot
of his story properly, that Enemies' difficulties are appropriate, and that Perks, Loot, Items, Mission Rewards and Currency are given at a steady rate. Because the systems
have been balanced so carefully, allowing custom Items, Perks, Enemies or Missions would throw out that balance and create loopholes or openings in the game that could
ruin the experience or allow players to cheat or advance too easily. As such, Siel crafts this Roleplaying Game to be a complete one, without the need for any further
additions. There may be times where he will allow a custom side-story or custom mission, perk or item to be created and added into the Systems, but Siel will do this
himself. You may pose your ideas to Siel, but please do not create Items, Perks, Enemies or Missions in Threads in the Guild.

Out-of-character Competitions such as lotteries are always welcome (but make sure to get permission first!), and In-character competitions such as Tournaments need to
be carefully balanced. If you'd like a particular tournament held, speak with Siel and see if he can put one in place for you.

User Image
          [Roleplaying Rule] | No Cheating.
Attempting to cheat in-game will incur massive penalties -- cheaters will receive no EXP, CP or loot whatsoever.

All Weapons have a Minimum Level Requirement, a Clip Size or Attacks-per-turn amount, a Damage-Per-Bullet or Damage-per-strike amount, a Weight Value, etc. All Perks
must be unlocked before you can use them. All shop items cost Currency Points (CP). All Airborne Enemies cannot be hit by Blades or Grenades unless under the effects of
the Gravity Press Perk. Bonus Damage is determined by dicerolls in each of your posts that you use to attack. You must follow these systems to the letter, or any
missions you participated in with the wrong equipment, or with the wrong dicerolls, or with the wrong damage-per-attack values, will be null and void. That means, if you
cheated, or used Perks you haven't unlocked, or attacked an Airborne Enemy that wasn't Gravity-Pressed, with a blade, etc -- then it will be as if you never even started that
mission. You will get nothing for it. Make sure you follow the Systems properly, and do not attempt to cheat in any way, or you'll have any rewards from the attempt
               taken away.

At times, you may have accidentally miscounted how many bullets you had spare, or how much HP an enemy had left, and a Crew Member who is reviewing your
Mission may choose to allow your Mission to be completed in the end, but with some penalties. For example, getting a HP calculation wrong may result in the Mission
Rewards of EXP and CP being cut by 20%. Doing it twice may result in the Mission Rewards being cut by 40%. These are large values, yes, but its entirely possible that
if you'd gotten the math right, you may not have completed the Mission at all. Be aware of how the game works and make sure you get the numbers right. If not, be ready
               to get penalised.

User Image
[Roleplaying Rule] | Participate in one Mission at a time.
For the sake of keeping things simple, we ask that you participate in one Mission at a time. When you're done with that Mission (either having failed it, or completed it),
you can immediately move onto starting a new Mission if you like. However, it makes most sense that, if you've completed a Mission, you wait for a Crew Member or the
Guild Leader to review the Mission, check everything was done correctly, and grant the Mission Rewards of EXP and CP -- that way, if you Level-Up or gain a new Weapon,
you can use it in the next Mission. You can start a new Mission without waiting for the Mission Rewards, and let your Mission Rewards stack up before they get granted to
you, its up to you, but you may find it more convenient to wait a little for rewards you may be able to use next time around. Just make sure you only participate in one
               mission at a time!

          Policies
Policies explain how we do things, like promotions and demotions, recruiting, advertising, granting punishments and creating new Squads.

User Image
          Character Limit
Each Guild Member may have only one Character, and both they and their Character hold a Rank in the Guild. You may not have more characters, or hold more than one Rank.

User Image
          Level Limits
Any member can continue to level up and gain higher and higher Ranks, up to the 1st Lieutenant Rank, without restriction. Once you've reached the 1st Lieutenant Rank (or the
Nouveminae Rank if you complete the five Special Missions Corps Missions and reach Level 65, then choose to gain the Nouveminae Rank instead of the 1st Lieutenant Rank), you will
be able to level up to Level 79, but won't be able to gain any further levels or rank up unless promoted to the Alpha Guard Rank by the Commander. So, unless you are promoted to the
Alpha Guard Rank, the maximum level you can reach is Level 79.

User Image
          Creating a new Squad
In Death of an Aberration, there are between one and seven Squads at any one time. How many depends on how many high-level players there are, and how active they can keep their
          Squad Members.

Anyone can create a new Squad in the Muse State Military, however there are some requirements which must first be met. The Member who wishes to create the new Squad must:
          ▪ Be at least 1st Lieutenant Rank, which starts at Level 65.
          ▪ Bring with them at least one 2nd Lieutenant (or above, except Nouveminaes) which starts at Level 55, and two other Members of any Rank (except Nouveminaes).
          ▪ Pay a once-off Squad Creation fee of ??,000 CP.
          ▪ Apply to create the new Squad by contacting the Guild Leader and requesting the creation of the new Squad.
          ▪ Choose a name for their new Squad and have it approved by the Guild Leader. It must be lore-friendly and suit the style of the Muse State Military.
          ▪ If granted their new Squad, must keep the Squad active. Squads that become inactive are decommissioned, and its members are absorbed by the remaining Squads.

A 1st Lieutenant who leads a Squad will gain the title "Squad Leader", however their Rank and Level will remain unchanged. They will still need to participate in Missions in order to
raise their Level further, and will need to apply for the Alpha Guard Rank once they reach Level 79 if they wish to gain the Alpha Guard Rank. Alpha Guards who lead a Squad will
also gain the title "Squad Leader", however their Rank and Level will remain unchanged.

There is a huge advantage to becoming an Alpha Guard, especially if you're already running a Squad as a 1st Lieutenant. Squads run by an Alpha Guard can be upgraded further
and grant bigger Personal Armory Spaces to Members, and have better Armory Shop upgrades.

User Image
          Recruiting
Guild Members may wish to recruit for Death of an Aberration, but it helps to know what kinds of recruitment help us the most, and which only harm our reputation. If you want
to help us get more Members, you are welcome to try any of the following:
          ▪ Direct word-of-mouth with friends. Have some friends that you think may be interested in joining? Provide them with a link to the Guild and tell them a little about what we're all about.
          ▪ Rallying. This is one of the oldest ways Guilds have tried to recruit members, and success depends on how well you mingle with others and gain their interest. Head into Rally, Towns,
or another such flash space hosted on Gaia, and attempt to strike up conversations with other Gaians about Roleplaying, and then introduce the idea of joining Death of an Aberration.
No doubt they'll need a short summary of what we're all about, or they'll need to see for themselves what the Guild looks like, so be sure to ask their permission to PM them with a link.
It also helps to tell them the kinds of events we hold (lotteries and seasonal festival RPs, for example) in an attempt to get them interested. If you feel they're not interested, its best to
move onto other areas and try again.
          ▪ Advertising in other Guilds. But before you do, please make sure that the other Guilds allow this. Death of an Aberration doesn't allow Members to advertise for other Guilds, but the
Guild Leader may agree to advertise for other Guilds if they do the same for us, however this must be agreed on first. If you are in another Guild and they say its okay to tell people
about this one, and provide a link, then go ahead. Just make sure that they allow it, though.
          ▪ Events and Competitions posed to the greater community. What is this about? Its about getting the rest of Gaia involved. Hosting a mingle RP cafe or an art competition, avatar
competition or lottery (so long as they follow Gaia's rules for such things) is a good way to get our name out there, and attract potential members. For example, we can host a lottery,
and say that all that is required to enter is to solve a riddle that is posted in a Thread in our Main Hall. This will attract people's attention, as they need to view our Main Hall in order to
participate in the lottery, and whether they win or lose, it gives us a chance to tell them what we're about and say that we're here to have fun. The winner of the lottery gets their winnings
with no strings attached, but we've just had a chance to show a large portion of the community that we exist, and that we could be a lot of fun for them.

Please do not do any of the following, though:
          ▪ Putting down other Guilds. This one should be pretty obvious, but sometimes it needs saying nonetheless. It is one thing to be proud to be a part of this Guild, but quite another to
start demeaning others. It definitely does not help our reputation when our Guild Members go around bullying others, or putting other Guilds down, claiming that they suck. So please,
          don't do it.
          ▪ Advertising on Gaia's Forums simply for the sake of advertising. Some Guild Members may want to post a Thread in one of Gaia's Forums talking about what this Guild is all about,
but to be honest, simply advertising for the sake of advertising isn't very effective. Ever seen ads on T.V. that make the product sound so enticing, that you just HAD to start buying it?
Neither have I. We look at those ads and roll our eyes, and go "get back to my show, already, stop wasting my time!" -- Threads that advertise, but nothing more, are the same.
Gaians won't pay them any mind, and who could blame them? Advertising just for the sake of advertising doesn't offer the reader anything. It doesn't catch their interest, or give them
incentive to give this Guild a try. So please don't post Threads on Gaia's Forums just for the sake of getting our name out there -- it won't get our name very far.
          ▪ Advertising in other Guilds that don't allow it. Many Guilds don't want random Members advertising other Guilds, and it makes perfect sense why -- nobody wants their Guild to become
one big advert for fifty other Guilds. It creates too much clutter and detracts away from the Guild's focus of Roleplaying and enjoying what that Guild has to offer. Some Guilds are okay
with Members advertising, but most are not. Please make sure you ask the Guild's Leaders if it is okay to tell that Guild about this one, or to provide links. It wouldn't do us any good to
have our Members getting in trouble with other Guilds because they didn't follow the rules.

User Image
          Hosting Attractions
Any Guild Member may request to host a Special Event, Competition, Lottery or Roleplay in the Guild. It could be anything from a Birthday Party to a Halloween Costume Contest.
But first, the Guild Member must get permission from the Guild Leader to run the event. In most cases, the Guild Leader will volunteer to help run the event, or create Announcements
for it. In order to improve your chances of getting your attraction approved, follow these simple steps:
          ▪ Know what kind of Attraction you want to run. It is very hard to convince someone (in this case, the Guild Leader) of what your attraction is all about if you can't even explain
what it is all about. Name your attraction according to what title suits it best -- for example "Jim Raynor's Birthday Party", or "Sally's Avi-Art Lottery".
          ▪ Determine what the Attraction will offer Members. Every Attraction needs to offer something to the Members of the Guild. Birthday Parties offer a fun out-of-character (or
perhaps you want in-character?) mingling experience for participants. Lotteries offer the chance to get rare items or large amounts of Gaia Gold. Competitions offer a challenge for
Members to overcome and hopefully a prize to claim at the end, too. If you can't offer anything to the Members, you won't be able to run the attraction. Why? Because there won't
be much incentive for people to participate -- and if there's one thing attractions need, its participation!
          ▪ Make sure that if the Attraction uses the Game Systems (i.e. is a special mission with rare items or lots of in-game rewards), that you get Siel Kosane's permission first.
Obviously, you're going to need Siel's permission if you want to run an event that gives people any in-game items, experience, or currency -- because Siel runs the game in the
first place. If you want to hold a Tournament for example, Siel is going to need to make sure that the way it is set up makes sense to the game, and stays true to it, and that any
rewards or prizes participants can gain, don't break the game for them.
          ▪ Put effort into the Attraction. A successful attraction has good incentive for participation (and thusly, has many participants), is set up well, has plenty of content, and is
managed well from start to finish. If you only create enough content to start the attraction, but don't have enough content for the attraction's whole lifespan, then the second half
of the attraction is going to be a flop. The best attractions are kept interesting and active from start to finish, and know when to call it quits and end on a high note.

          Advertising with Us
If you run your own Guild and want to try advertising with us, where each Guild advertises the other, you can speak to the Guild Leader and see if an arrangement can be made.
If the Guild Leader says no though, please respect the decision. This Guild does not normally advertise for other Guilds unless under agreed terms that benefit both sides.

If you are a Member of another Guild and want to try advertising that Guild with us, you need to get that Guild's Guild Leader to contact this one. The two Guild Leaders can then begin
negotiating if an affiliation can be made.

User Image
          Promotions
Ranks that you can be promoted into often have a minimum level requirement, or a minimum previous rank requirement. For example, you can only apply to become a Nouveminae if you
have reached the final level in the 2nd Lieutenant Rank (or any level or Rank above) and have completed the five Specialist Missions for the Rank -- and you can only be placed in a
Squad as a Kartefor if you are level 40 or above. While most Ranks are automatically gained once you reach certain levels, there are Ranks that can only be gained by being promoted
into them by the Commander after reaching the minimum Level or Rank, and in the case of Nouveminaes, having completed the five Specialist Missions for the Rank.

User Image
          Honorable Demotions
Honorable Demotions are demotions that are earned through positive means, for example you step down from the position itself, or, while not necessarily "positive", you become
inactive and are demoted from your Rank due to the inactivity. If you are Demoted from your Rank honorably, you retain all of your Levels and EXP, as well as your unlocked weapons,
abilities and equipment. Later on, for example if you return and become active again, you are likely to be promoted back to your original Rank so that you may continue your missions.

User Image
          Dishonorable Demotions
Dishonorable Demotions are demotions that are earned through negative means, for example through earning a punishment, or being forced out of a Crew-Only Rank because your
record now holds Two Strikes or more. If you are demoted from your Rank dishonorably, you will lose all of your Levels and be forced down to the minimum level for your new Rank.
You will also lose all unlocked weapons, equipment and perks beyond your new Rank and Level. This is part of the punishment for breaking the Guild's rules, so be careful!

User Image
          Punishment Removal
Members with punishment(s) can contact the Guild Leader directly and request that at least one of them be removed from their record. The Guild Leader will need to decide if they
should be removed, based on what caused their placement in the first place, as well as how much time has passed since then and if they feel you are at least starting to show signs of
having learned from the mistakes that saw the punishments being placed. Punishments do sadly demotivate members from enjoying the Guild, but even if you've earned some, the
Guild is not against you. It is simply a way to remove troublemakers who continuously cause trouble or who won't end up learning from their mistakes so that we can all enjoy the Guild
without their negative influence. If you make mistakes and earn punishments, but show that you can learn from the experience and be more behaved, then there's no reason why you
shouldn't be given a fresh, clean slate. Stay positive, and make sure you follow the rules. If you get punishments, don't be bitter. Simply work on being better and earning a clean slate
          again in the future.

User Image
The "Rejoining after a Ban" Policy
If you earn Three Strikes and are banned from the Guild, there is only one way through which you will be allowed to return. You must contact the Guild Leader directly and request
that at least one Strike be removed from your record. The Guild Leader will need to decide if you should be allowed to return, based on what caused your Ban in the first place, as
well as how much time has passed since then and if they feel you are at least starting to show signs of having learned from past mistakes. Attempting to sneak into the Guild with
an alternate account will result in an instant permanent ban for the alternate account, and you will gain "Permanent Blacklist Status", meaning you will never be permitted back into
the Guild no matter what you do. Don't try to deceive or weasel your way around the rules. Respect them.

If you are permitted to return to the Guild, any punishments still present on your record will remain, and may later be removed by following the above "Punishment Removal" policy.
All Members who return to the Guild this way, rejoining after having been banned, will be watched closely to make sure their behavior has improved. Any recurrence of the behavior
that got them banned in the first place will be dealt with harshly, and they may be banned again if the case is bad enough.

User Image
          The Strikeout Policy
Members with Two Strikes or more in punishments against their record are not allowed to attain any Rank that grants Crew Status. Members with Three Strikes against their name
are banned from the Guild, but may rejoin if they correctly follow our "Rejoining after a Ban" Policy. Members that are granted "Permanent Blacklist Status" (i.e. are Permanently
Banned) may never return, under any circumstances. If they continue to attempt to return or sneak in, they will be reported to Gaia Staff for harassment.

User Image
          Permanent Blacklist Status
Permanent Blacklist Status (also known simply as being permanently banned) is given to the worst troublemakers that we've ever had. It means that they are never permitted to
rejoin the Guild, ever, no matter what happens. They are not allowed to use the "Rejoining after a Ban" Policy to have any punishments removed from their record. They are simply
never allowed to return. This status is only given to those who commit the worst possible crimes, such as mass-deception, hacking or scripting, destructive rumor-spreading,
large-scale flaming, blatant or repeated intellectual property theft, excessive bullying and abuse. Note that many of these crimes can also be followed by reports to Gaiaonline Staff
that could result in the culprit losing their Gaia Account. Be warned, we simply do not tolerate troublemakers. Take your drama elsewhere.

          The Blacklist
A list of users who have punishments on their record with this Guild.

The users listed below have punishments on their record with this Guild. If you are on this list, and you want to find info about how to redeem yourself or have
punishments removed, be sure to read the "Punishment Removal" policy above. Having punishments on your record can impact your time here, or see you banned
          from the Guild altogether.

Users who are PERMANENTLY BANNED may never return here, no matter what they do. There is literally no way they can return. There are no options, no methods,
nothing. Users who are BANNED may return to the Guild only if they follow the "Returning After a Ban" policy, detailed in a post above. Users who have TWO
STRIKES may not hold Crew Status in the Guild, nor can they attain the rank of "Alpha Guard" or any rank above, or lead their own Squad. Users who have less
than Two Strikes against their names are still listed here, but there are no restrictions placed on them unless as part of a punishment given by the Guild Leader.
Any unique restrictions will also be listed here.

Should any user who is banned or permanently banned attempt to rejoin the Guild using a different account, they will be discovered and have all their accounts
permanently banned, and they will be reported to Gaia Staff for harassment. Returning to a Guild that has used the "Ban" feature to remove them from it is
harassment, and this Guild will report it.

Should any user who has any punishments at all attempt to use an alternate account to get a "clean slate", they will be discovered and have all their accounts
          permanently banned on the spot.

Attempting to circumvent the rules and punishment system by cheating will result in an instant and permanent ban, every time. Do not even try it. If you have
punishments on your record, follow the appropriate policies and behave yourself, and simply be patient. That is the one and only way your slate can be cleared.

Disclaimer: Those who are listed in the Blacklist above have the above punishments on their record by order of the Guild Leader.
If anyone feels a punishment has been made unfairly, they are always welcome to speak with the Guild Leader via PM. Please do not
attempt to raise drama by publicly complaining about punishments that are present on your, or another person's record. Also, anyone
who is Banned or Permanently Banned are welcome to ask the Guild Leader, via PM, why the punishments are present on their record,
and the Guild Leader will readily explain or discuss the matter with them. They don't need to attempt to rejoin the Guild in order to obtain
          that information.
