Her sleep was usually shallow, so a little sound would warm her up.

That night was unusual, she could hardly sleep because of things in her mind and she just forced herself to close her eyes and rest. It was a process of suffering until her body really worn out and fell asleep, it'd work like that if not there was a loud noise at her door.

The girl in pajama with a bed head rubbed her tired eyes and headed for the door, only to find a visitor she didn't see for a while. "M-Mimi?.....Really you? I miss you, where have you been to- Uh-uh, I haven't sleep yet so don't worry-" The surprised eyes blinked to realize her best friend was rubbing her forehead, wincing.

Immediately, the face of the redhead was gently scooped up and a kiss pressed on the reddened area. "痛楚痛楚全部飛走~" She said some Chinese words, it sounded like a spell. "It means all the pains fly away." Shu explained, smiled while dragged her friend in.

"Sit here." The petite brunette said, sat down and grabbed both hands of Noemi. "Tell me where have you been? Are you on some external missions?" She wrapped her arms around another girl's waist and laid down on her lap, she became a critter snugged for attention.

She was her best friend, her shelter and a place to perch, at least she thought so. Noemi was always a sweetie and brought her little happiness. Those precious tiny happiness-es she got from her were like paper folded lucky stars that she collected in a fragile glass jar, aka her soul.

She allowed her friend to stroke her long hair, soft in touch but quite messy at the moment, her amber eyes closed for a few seconds to enjoy the ambience. "Are you hurt? Did you make some new friends? Is there very different from here? Do you eat well, Mimi?" She showed her concern in form of a bag full of questions. "I am doing good, just miss you. I miss the time when we sleep together, when I can feel the warmth from you." The amber eyes met with her brown pair, they were full of hidden inter-mixture of emotions, loneliness, sadness and illegible sentiment. Yet, all thinly veiled by how joyful she was for the reunion.

"I am fine." Whether it was said to assure the endearing girl or affirm herself. Averting, she asked, "Do you bring me my birthday present?" It was already March, and her birthday was a month before. It didn't sound like the best endeavor for a valid distraction.

There was a moment of silence when she asked about her other good friends, ".....Sorry I don't know them well enough to say anything. I don't get a chance to meet with them for my duties and missions." The amber eyes cast downward.

Her friend was always so adorable, she'd never get tired of Noemi, she was affirmative. "No, you don't. You already brought the best present here, it's you. You're my best birthday present." Smile returned to Shu's face, and it was a very very sweet smile. "Alright I should release you to get changed before I fall asleep on you and call it a night." Noemi had the softness that every female body have, but she was her friend that made the whole thing even better. Shu allowed herself cradle in her warmth and caressing as they made her relaxed, she'd melted into jelly she once had that whim.

And then Noemi was away.

After a cheerful wave to her best friend, the hand dropped enervatedly. She had many to tell her best friends, yet too doubtful some might change how she viewed her. She wanted to be the sweetest, nicest and purest angel in Noemi's eyes, she didn't want her to look at her a different way. On the other hand, she felt guilty to have something hidden from her when she always told her everything. It was a crime that was too difficult to say it out.

"What should I do....." she mumbled, taking a deep breathe.

"A MIMI BREAKFAST!!!!" she make an amused voice so close to screaming, "I haven't have that for a while, it's the best. Can I ask for a stack of pancakes? With some fresh berries? YES? Yes pleaseeeeee?" The petite girl begged, snugging her friend like an adorable kitten in request.

There came her question that made her tensed up.

She didn't want to lie to her best friend, yet didn't want it to bother Noemi at all. Her friend was like an innocent flower, she knew she wasn't weak (she was her knight) and she wasn't sure how she would feel of her having such a feeling over someone.

It was nothing close to their cute and sweet relationship, Noemi and Milo, they were like little lovers coming out from the shoujo manga she enjoyed reading. It was a precious ship she would be desperate to guard if anyone dare to sink it.

Shu was scared, too afraid to think about losing her friend for the guilt she felt. "Hmm....why asking? I-I'm good~" Did she have that showed on her face? Had she discovered? The petite girl also in comfy clothes worried.

"Sweet things give me energy and happiness to overcome any sadness!"

Shu said with a sweet beam. "I get satisfied easily, never a difficult person." It also explained why the petite hunter always seen carrying candies or a snack pouch with her. "I feel much alive after eating a wonderful cake." It was true, it did help to forget the nightmares and horrible things she had in missions - when there was no one to cuddle or telling her it would be fine.

Desserts gave her the encouragement to face the upcoming challenges, it slowly became a little habit. When she wasn't spending on plushies, clothing and accessories, it was on sweets and snacks.

Yet, Noemi's eagerness was not something she could eschew or resort to desserts. "I-I-I-" she breathed out, "you-you will hate me, I know you will if I speak it out." It was the first time she broke away from Noemi's hand squishing, even how mild her action was. Shu always enjoyed it, feeling the warmth passing through to warm her up. She felt she didn't deserve it when the another girl asked the question.

So she looked away, couldn't bear to look at her friend's bright sincere eyes without any grime in them.

The head still looking at her side, "A-Am I scary? Am I scary to you Mimi?" Her voice was shaking, even the hands in Noemi's hands. The Mist huntress could feel Shu's fingers curled up under her grasp that the petite Asian felt bad about her words.

"I-I like someone, but he already had people he loved......I feel I'm awful for having that feeling...." She gingerly peeked at her friend's expression and held her breathe, as if she was waiting for the announcement of a death sentence.

Shu just shook her head continuously, then flapped to hug Noemi back.

"He-he probably doesn't like me. Every time I talk to him, he looks cold and annoyed, I-I'm probably just a kid in his eyes." Her voice reflected she was tittering though how weak it was. ".....Mimi, how do you feel when you think of Milo?" She paused and then looked up to another girl and asked.
