While the trainee pressed her face against the glasses in full concentration for the minipets, silver light giggles could be heard. Looking up, she would find a girl smiling friendly at her. "Are you my partner for the minipet duty today?" She asked, curled a stray strand behind her ear.

"I am Shu from Death division, nice to meet you." The petite brunette that might be smaller than Mimi said after adjusting her pink glasses. After some unfriendly meeting with egoistic hunters shooed her from the workplace, when she was on duty with people with unfamiliar names, she had her hunter coat on. The top with 3/4 sleeve length also had a kitty wearing a pair of glasses, noticing the gaze, she pulled it by its edge, "This? Purr-fect Vision~ Isn't that cute?" Her glee was childlish but exultant, "I just learned that recently, happy to find a top matching it. Do you like minipets? If you want to stare at them here longer, I'm fine. If not, we can get in and started feeding them."

Mimi would have chosen to stare longer or follow she into the labs, either way, after they entered, a man in cleaning attire came to Shu and greeted. "Oh Shu you're here. That means I can finally have my lunch." He said ironically as he stripped, taking the gloves off and made a face towards their way. "Sorry, I got put in the the grocery duty, got thrown milk cartons and needed to take a bath." Shu's nose got pinched, "Jeez no need to explain, just joking. Treat me a lunch and we're even. See you later, I'll leave those ******** to you."

The hunter had his hand suspended in midair, ready to ruffle her hair but notice her hairstyle. The hand made a detour to scratch his head, "Open your hands and hold still, right, just like that." and walked off. He laughed out after the girl yelped in surprised, showered and hit by candy rain.

"Ah." The man made a re-appearance from the door as Shu busily picked up the candies, recalling something important. "Beware of that two, their nips ********' hurt." A grin and a casual wave and he was gone.

"Alright, we just need to make sure everyone's fed. Take some candies-" Shu grabbed a small bunch, "They only can eat these FEAR candies. Minipets are creatures made of FEAR and the cages maintain their forms. You can take them out, but just for a short time, or they will melt." She explained to Mimi.

Shu liked Mimi's energy, she was like a miniature of sun. "Yup, that's what we're doing today - feeding them with candies." The petite girl beamed, squished Mimi' hand. "Don't worry, as soon as they are locked back to the cages within the time limit, they'll be safe. They're made of pure FEAR, an energy form that contributed fully to the existence of the Halloween world. As the inhabitants of it, these critters have stable forms there." She explained to Mimi, putting a candy into the cage.

"Yet, in our world, FEAR isn't abundant for them to retain their shapes for long and they need to replenish the FEAR content inside them from time to time. These cages were engineered to stabilize their form but not providing enough FEAR, thus we need the can~dies!" The foxfire resembled appearance of a pom puppy crashed the candy with audible noises.

Shu giggled at the fluff, brushing her hand over its little body. "How're you Puffy?" She'd turned to look at Mimi, "My favourite species are the treats, they have rich expressions and cute appearances, I've one for my own pet but they're not easy to catch. Dust bunnies are like normal bunnies, gremlins the tiny timid tricksters, hmm, what else? Ah, Possum, like our possums but they don't let go of your finger easily if they catch you, be careful." She pointed from one cage to another, like a little tour guide in a mini zoo.

"Alright, sorry for keeping you wait, you must be excited and eager to try yourself. If you're not sure whether the minipet is fierce or docile, you can observe it for a while first. Like Vic said, the hunter that was here a while ago, if you wanted to feed those two, I suggest you grab a pair of tongs instead of bare handed."

There were also several water tanks of different sizes, where there was a ladder besides. Shu ran over, climbed on the ladder and put some candies for the aquatic minipets. Glassetta, Phish, Spectropus, to name a few.

She was the second Mimi she knew, both were cute but in different ways. "Yes, you got the key points," the girl nodded. "You're right Mimi, we can keep one as our own pet, if you get a runic cage or you could rent one." She was infected by her cheerfulness.

Shu felt like a corgi running towards her, "C-Calm down Mimi, they really do look like phoenixes," she patted on her shoulder, "Aren't they beautiful? The fire one is like burning but the flame is so alive, like Fawkes in Harry Potter. Take deep breathes with me, or else you will run out of oxygen soon." She'd recalled the first time she visited the minipet lab and nearly fainted because of all the adorable critters.

"Their names usually suggest their most obvious features, what kind of animals do you like most?" She asked, giggling when she reminisced her dumb self. "If you really love minipets, it won't be a bad idea to study them by observing. Each of them has a different habit and personality, I've a notebook written about each of them. This one's Puffy, it loves petting. That one's Brownie, it loves to tackle attack." She introduced the foxfires she nicknamed, they were specimens, but they also deserved some love and care.



1) zzzzzz The minipet is asleep, but it needs to be fed for its own good, find the most solution to wake it up. (Roll another 1d6, even - you got a docile bleary-eyed minis, odd - you just woke up a bad temper critter)
2) Water minis, water minis, they're really meanies. You're all wet.
3) BURNINGGGGGG the flame of this minipet would burn your hand
4) Is that anything in the cage? You can't see any......
5) What the sweet smell? It makes you drool and doubt yourself of the whim to taste it.
6) It was visible, but you feel spooky when they stared at you with the ghostly glowing eyes.
7) The cage felt cold, your nose feel stingy chilled.
8 ) Dragon! Dragons are always the coolest and soooo majestic. Eh- they're tiny
9) You can hear the sounds they made when they clutch their teeth

12) Foxfires! Many of them got stuffed into a small cage, when you open the gate, they ran out and all over you. Lick lick lick face wash for you.
13) Fear candies are the best, this one steals your container of fear candies, quickly get it back
14) What's this scent......you suddenly feel...so drowsy......need..to...stay .....awake
15) It hisses at you and slaps your candy away with wings/tail/paw/claw
16) Snicker snicker snicker someone was laughing at you so sneaky, you decide to find out which one.
17) You noticed the gate of a cage untouched was opened, a minipet escaped oh no, a hide-and-seek started

19) Bird minipets are cute and pretty, but they stole your tongs and the sharp beak were ready to punish the thief (that's you) dare to steal it back
20) Did you know .....Did you know.... Did you know blah blah blah it wants a True or False game question

"Shhhhhh! Some minipets might be sleeping, and might be having bad tempers if waken up." Shu put a finger on her lips, a bit jittery. It wasn't hard to guess the huntress might have done something too stupid to mention in the past.

Different from Dae, Z had no intention to meddle with girl businesses and went to take a nap. "What sound?" Shu blinked back at Mimi, inclined her head to concentrate. "You hear something?" But she didn't, the careless girl wanted to put the foxfires back to their cages but she was distracted to locate the sound.

So - the door wasn't locked probably, black little shadows tackled her down in an assault. She groaned intermittently, words disconnected. "Help - h - help Mimi! Mo-move - them - em -away!" She was busily holding one away from her wet face.

"You've time, you can come to visit them when you're free, gradually you can decided which one you love the best." She said after wiping her face clean, with the aid of another huntress. She loved puppy basket, but she was helpless when swarmed by so many puppies. They were too passionate like real puppies. "You see, even feeding is an easy job, you need to be careful."

"I don't know if they would get teeth decay, hopefully not." said Shu, thinking of her Caelius alike Pygmy Treat. "Don't worry," she patted on her shoulder, " we've a lot of supply, every time hunters visited another world, they can buy from the candy shops there. Sadly not most of the items remained stable in our world, they need to be surrounded by fear rich environment. They do look like normal candies though, but eating might result in adverse effect."

The task was quite simple but it took time to feed all the little critters, the Tart Eater hissed at Shu, humans, it hated humans, nasty little humanssssss. It forked tongue flickered at the dark hair girl, rejected her feeding with a wing slap. "See, some are hard to get along." Shu sighed.

"Shamefully, I haven't visited the town yet." Shu blushed lightly.

She had been the Haunted House and the misty fields for patrol duty and catching minipets with the help of Melvin. Yet, she wasn't given a chance to walk around the town, she only heard and collect the information from others.

"It's another world - um - have you heard of the movie Nightmare before Christmas? Perhaps you can imagine it's another dimension, hunters could reach there through portals. For the inhabitants in another world, they were just normal candies." Shu not only loved to ask questions, but also to answer questions she had an answer for.

After feeding the Tart Eater, she darted towards the trainee. "Mimi." She put her hands on her shoulder with a very stern face. "Don't ever try these candies, you will suffer from awful emotions and feels. They're not normal candies to human beings. Promise me."

After Mimi made her promise, no matter she said it or just a nod, the muscles of Shu's face loosened into a smile. "We're given the option to disguise as student and take classes at Amityville, one of the biggest academy in another world. You will be controlling the golem in a pod, there are a wide variety of species, like vampire, dragon, demon. etc. Last time, I got a rabbit Nagual golem, it was fun." She giggled.

Shu was infected by the cheerfulness of another girl, she beamed brightly. "Have you heard of the term - alternative universe?" She paused, checking Mimi's reaction on the question.

"I had been to Haunted House, which was near the Halloween town, sometimes, we have patrol duties there for suspicious activities. Christmas land, I'm not sure for that but it's possible." She contemplated, frowning lightly. "I-am-sadly I haven't been to any of those worlds, but as hunters, we got a lot of chances to visit the Halloween world at least. If you're interested, sometimes you can overhear people talking about it on twitter or at cafeteria."

She giggled, feeling she was a teacher while Mimi was an enthusiastic student. It switched the roles where she was normally at and it amused her. "Sadly nope, you entered some information into the pod machine and it will randomly assign you to pilot one. So - you might experience what it's like to be the opposite sex. Anyway, in Deus, anything is possible. I heard people turned into kittens and Christmas related stuff."
