It took Rep some time to get to the training fields from the bar, it seemed like every few steps he'd take the wrong turn or find himself learning against a tree for balance. There were a few pee breaks as he went. The moment he stood up in the bar he had realised he was really ******** smashed, the room spinning around him, the fresh air only compounded it and it was all he could do to keep hold of his phone and keep tottering along. Sometimes he'd laugh to himself at his own jokes and generally immersed in the soft fuzz of drunkenness he felt great.
As he wandered out onto the fields, he walked slowly and carefully, ignoring Tracey's admonishments for being irresponsible entirely.
He just had to find Horace...where..ever..he..was.

"Dude," said a doubtful voice from somewhere to Rep's left. "Are you sure you're up for this?" The red-haired man had been taking, slow, very deliberate steps and Horace wasn't entirely sure if it was because he was drunker than he looked or because he felt like stalking around as though he were a large panther. Could be both, Horace reasoned. In any event, he was beginning to regret telling Rep to come spar in his inebriated state. What if it wasn't fun?
He leaned against a dummy and eyed him. "You took forever, ya know. You get lost? Stop at a confessional booth?"

Rep grinned toothily. "Those booths are really ******** handy. Like phone booths. But naw, ah jus' like jus' needed a piss what's wrong with that?" he narrowed his eyes in a fleeting challenge before capriciously veering off again. "'dn am good for a fight any time, ******** any time any where any place. Nae problem. You seem to like gettin' beatings."

Rep was always all teeth, predatory. "Pretty sure I don't wanna know what you get up to in phonebooths and other booths." He pointed out. "Your sex-capades seem sordid at best." He raised a brow.
{do not underestimate, horace. even when intoxicated, he is stronger than you are. strategize.} {Ain't no strategy involved in getting beaten up, Doctor.}
"I like a fight, dunno about a beating-" A lie, that - Horace liked the hurt that came from sparring, the brief flashes of pain. It was all a safe kind of pain; the genetic changes that came along with becoming a hunter made him able to push that boundary farther. It also dulled this, so he felt he had to push more and more often. But that was not something he'd plainly admit to Rep. "Makes you feel more alive, somehow.Even when losing." He pushed off of the dummy and tied his hair up in a sloppy bun. Briefly, he wished he'd thought to strap his glasses on.
"Any place, eh? I'll look you up next time I feel like dying, maybe. You ready to fight, twinkle-toes?"

"Heh heh. Sordid.." Rep waved a hand woozily. "Sordid disnae even do the half of it. Disnt even cover th s**t ah got up tae. Maist ae the skeezy wee tramps didnae really dae it fur me, so ah hid tae...supplement their charms wae othr mair intrestin s**t. I've tried a lot ae them, so much ******** variety." He flexed his shoulders one after the other, seeming to only just realise he was still holding his phone and stow it away safely in a pocket.
"Ah wis ******** born ready to fight." and with a shrugging gesture, he summoned Tracey, the weapon still bound up in Marie's coils but finally whole and functional, the runes glowing faintly as he awaited the start of combat. He wasn't pleased with Rep's present state of mind, but there was not a great deal he could do about it other than do his job loyally and efficiently.

"I guess your days of supplementing are over... unless you really do the priest thing..." For a moment, he thought of Jan is a priest's collar and something shivered down his spine. He stooped that thought abruptly. After a second, Horace held up a hand. "Never mind, I don't ******** wanna know. Still don't get how you can advocate not sleeping around when you did a ******** of it before." He snorted and summoned Jannisari. It was always a quick summon, no special effects and he kind of wished it looked cooler. Jannisari hissed in his mind.
Twirling them around his knuckles, he looked at Rep. "Drunks first," he sing-songed.

"Heh heh heh. Ah've done the priest thing." he said with a chuckle and another uncertain nod. "And a lot ******** mair besides that."
He hefted the axe, tottering uncertainly as he tried to balance himself with it, giving Tracey a look of surprise as if he had never really wielded the weapon before. It looked difficult for him to manage both weapon wielding and talking, the look of sheer concentration on his features as he spoke almost comical.
"It was ******** different for me. I only ******** bitches and that was my RIGHT as a guy."
And then, seeming to veer back to the side of actual weapon wielding, he swung out at Horace and by some miracle, actually connected.

He gritted his teeth as Tracey connected. That jaw clenching turned into a grin shortly - so Rep could hit hard even though he was drunk. And Tracey was a fine weapon, if overly large. He looked much better than before; there were no missing chunks even if Marie still curved around the axe like an insidious and unwanted house guest. Horace felt better when he sparred, when he didn't think, when all that mattered was connecting his fists to flesh and either bleeding or making someone bleed. If he got lucky, they'd both bleed, although Horace did not expect to win this.
He knew this part of the drill: take advantage in the short lull after a swing, dart in close, close enough that he could see his own reflection in the necklace Rep wore. "Mmm, good show. I was a little worried there." He kept it simple, hooking his right hand around to crack the other hunter across his jaw. "So why's ******** guys any different than girls?"

Rep wasn't really concentrating on the spar at hand, most of his concentration was squarely focused on trying not to faceplant into the dirt. There was also the issue of his stomach staging a ******** minor coup against him to deal with. He couldn't remember feeling this dodgy from this amount of alcohol, but to be fair he probably should have eaten something that morning other than what little he'd had. Didn't matter. Nothing mattered. His head was full of comforting fuzz and nothing could really bring him down. Nothing in any real way, but the fact remained that every time Horace got close to him the nausea got worse, the memory of him far, far too close for comfort knotting him up inside.
Rather than freeze, at the contact with his jaw - clipping his teeth audibly together as it connected - he leapt back and swung the vast axe with all the speed he was capable of without Marie holding him back, it slammed into Horace's shield with the kind of brutality only fear could bring.
"It's different, bitches exisht to like... to be ********. That's what they are for and s**t. When a guy like...when a guy lets another guy ******** him he's...he's acting like a b***h. He's...he's kinda like..demeaning himself if its like just to sho..some stranger. Its...its a sensitive fukin place, its against the like.. normal way of s**t. Bitches are just for ********, they don't have brains worth carin' bout right?"
He shook his head but it didn't clear his senses any. "A tight ******** fanny might make your c**k happy but the thing like attached to it like wullnae ever be yer equal or get you."

Horace stumbled back, the breath shuddering out of his lungs. He coughed, hard, trying to refill his chest with air. "Damn, Tracey, what'd you eat to get so big?" he said, grinning. He could feel where he'd have bruises later, large purple marks swirling across his torso. Horace pressed a hand against his side, dignning fingertips briefly in. Rep sure rambled when drunk, he thought, although he still listened to every word. He gaped at the other man. "That's the most backwards thing I ever heard - acting like a top is better just because it's not his a**. There's a level of trust involved in all sex, regardless." In the midst of Rep's drunken ramblings Horace had slipped closer. With narrowed eyes, he raked the points of his tekkos down the other man's arm. "So at what point does having sex with men become okay, Rep? After a date, after a year, love?" HP: 21/40 DMG: 2 CHG: 2/3

Tracey hissed, all fury and brutal indignation. If there was one way to irritate the fallen angel it was to imply that his size had anything to do with food intake. It implied a lack of self control, a lack of regulation which Tracey felt he possessed in most ample degrees.
Rep ignored the weapon's livid outrage for the time being, not having the raw focus to accommodate a second voice when it was so difficult just to stay upright. "Its...itsh true. Its...its more vl'nrble to be on the bottom, its..." and for a second he looked rather nauseous, turning his attention to his arm and the pain there in an attempt to pull himself up out of the nosedive that threatened to take him. "Its just no a strong place." He gritted his teeth. "It's all ok only when you.. when you like ******** MEAN IT. When it's FOR EVER. No some casual thing, no some ..throwaway like with women."
He clenched Tracey so tightly his knuckles turned white. "They kin deal, they are meant to be used. Men cannae, even when they think they can."
He let go briefly to pat his chest with a hand. "It takes something, being us..used. Ye canne get it back." And once again he shook his head as if trying to dislodge some horrible and persistent thought, even as he did so, leaping up into the air once more with startling pace and height, twisting the enormous blade around as if he weighed nothing at all and once more slamming him into Horace, always favouring the spot where the shoulder joined the neck.

Horace was utterly flabbergasted. Did Rep not think Harrison had had other men before or... "You're acting like one of those old dads who insists on a virgin wedding ni-" Horace was so pre-occupied that he barely even tried to dodge Tracey. The huge axe bore down on his shield and his hand came up to smack ineffectually at it. "You tryin' to take my arm?" he gasped, jumping back.
He moved closer, trying to be quicker, ducking in close. The other arm was his goal. It didn't make much of a mark, sadly, but he still raked lines down Rep's other arm, satisfied with just the movement, although Jannisari muttered for blood. His lips thinned and he stayed close, hoping Tracey might be more unweildy the closer he got. "If you go into it willingly, nobody takes anything from you that you don't give them. I am not who's ******** me and I'm not who I've ********> he hissed. There was something strange about Rep, too much drink, perhaps.

"It SHOULD BE." he said but didn't specify. Women were different than men, built differently, designed to thing differently and to accommodate different punishments, a man wasn't, but Horace couldn't understand, of course he ******** couldn't, he'd already given those parts of himself away no doubt and built a wall of denial to compensate.
Rep once again didn't manage to block or stop the rake of Jannisari across his body, already numbed to pain from so much punishment, the alcohol had left him hardly reacting to any and all assaults on his shield. Trying to take his arm, he should have been angry at the comment, implying that he'd taken Rin's on purpose but there was nothing in him to get angry right here and now, just a hollow sort of sick feeling, going along with the places the blade wanted to be and doing his best to make sure drunk feet were in the places Tracey needed them to be.
"People take more than you give... they do." he said. "I usd to be abl to take thngs from people they dint give. Even when they thought like it was willing. I could get under their skinnn. You are who you give yrself tae, yae jst dont realise it." He vaulted up on Tracey, sinking the serrated spray of blades into the dirt. Being drunk didn't matter in the air, all that mattered was pushing his body to more than it wanted to do, it greased that. Landing once again at a distance, he twisted the blade and lashed out, this time at Horace's side, almost disappointed when he wasn't rewarded by the blade slicing straight through the other man's spinal column the way it did with the zombies.
That was sick to think, he thought muzzily. All of it was sick.

"No one has taken anything from me that I did not give, that I did not deserve to lose," he spat, fingers clenching around his weapons. There were things he had to tell himself, things he had to believe. And no one could take that away from him. For a moment, his face was tight anger and bared teeth, but he relaxed it, grinned in his normal way. "You can't take anything from anybody either, Rep." He snorted, but his mirth was cut short.
He fell over, quite dramatically, a pleased look of pain crossing his face. But it was too soon. While he lived for the adrenaline, the bruises, the aches, that wash of pain that came in the wake of a shredded shield - not yet. It wasn't enough; he wanted more. Gasping heavily, Horace forced himself up, swaying. A spark leapt from Jannisari, violet and white. It crackled up into the air before falling down around Horace's shoulders - a brief halo of lightning. His eyes closed and he seemed to shudder from the electric current. Then it was gone, he licked his lips once and the grin was back. Horace knew he still wouldn't last much longer, but it'd be enough.

"Wordssswordssssworddds" Rep slurred dismissively. "S'all they are, you lost s**t, you lost it." he laughed. "And I have oh I f'ckin have. So many thns." He dragged Tracey behind him as he positioned himself for another strike.
"You can rip the spark of like... of confidence and life right out of someone if you work at it. They'd be all bright 'n ********' hopeful when they came to me." He narrowed his eyes. "When I finally was ******** done with them - they NEVER left - they were a shadow of their ********' past..past SELF. People are diffren' withou' without that spark."
Rep didn't seem disappointed at the heal, if anything it made him more eager and he brought Tracey around in a sweeping cleave, this time without any jump to it at all.
