While the returning Hall of Famer was making his way to the ring, the titantron was reported to have 'blown up' and fallen from the wall, burying the former Legacy Champion in the debris. Matt Shanahan has since been rushed to the NSMC Salem Hospital, where he was taken in under emergency care. The extent of the veteran's injuries are unknown at this time, and the medical staff has neglected to fully shed light on his situation until he is in a stable condition.

It is still unknown what caused the titantron to fall from the wall during Matt Shanahan's entrance. An investigation is underway to determine what would have made the supports give way.
