Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Lyle could hear the sound of the waves before he entered the stadium. This was such a cool field! Too bad his pokemon probably wouldn't appreciate it as much. He tossed out a pokeball to release Tetania onto the sand. She pawed at the gritty surface and looked over at the lapping water while Lyle waited for his opponent to arrive.

Yin moved up towards the stadium, his pokemon already out beside him. He seemed to be giving the other a pep talk before the big rumble. They looked upon the stadium together, and Yin chuckled softly, finding it ironic that kind of field was about as opposite as it could get for both the pokemon he already saw out on the field, and his own.
He tilted his head towards the field as he looked at his Combusken, motioning for the pokemon to move forward, and that's exactly what Enkou did.

Lyle and Tetania turned to look at the other pokemon as he stepped onto the field. Another fire-type, huh? This would be interesting. "Tetania, start with Mud Slap," he called.
The Quilava darted closer to the water's edge, where the sand was wet, and scooped up a pawful of it to fling at Enkou.

Hiro watched as his pokemon was hit with the first attack from his opponent, then nodded to Enkou, " Sand attack."
Enkou shook the mud off his body, before running forward and kicking sand into the air and at his opponent.

Tetania tried to turn her head away, but was too slow and ended up with sand in her eyes. She swiped a paw over her face to try and wipe some of the sand off, then flung another pawful of wet sand at Enkou.

More mud slapped against Enk's feathers, but he was relentless, using another sand attack.

This time Tetania managed to skip to the side in time to avoid the attack. She wasted no time in tossing more sand at Enkou,

Ah! The Combusken couldn't believe he'd missed, and what was worse, he ended up was some mud on his face. The pokemon glared daggers at the other, proceeding to follow and try one more sand attack.

Somehow Tetania ended up with even more sand on her after the latest attack. She shook furiously like a wet Poochyena trying to get some of it off, then threw more mud.

Enkou was in high gear now, taking the battle probably more seriously than he should, he quickly dodged her attack then swooped in for another sand attack.
Yin wasn't sure who'd win at this pace, all he did know, is both trainers were going to have oh so much fun giving cleaning these anti-water pokemon.

Tertania was getting very tired of having sand coating her. Almost tired enough to jump in the water to wash it off. Almost. She expressed her displeasure by throwing more mud at her opponent.

Enkou's pace was kept up, dashing around her, causing her to miss again. This time, he planned to bury her, using rock slide instead.
