"W-well, she's adjusted... well..."
"Yea..."
Magnolia and James remained observers as they watched Asphodel the Ralts zip around the hotel; clambering over furniture, throwing things down, and simply being a menace to the peace that once resided in their lives. Ever since the events with the Mewtwo, the fourteen year old girl took in the Psychic-type despite James's warnings that housing the Pokemon that once belonged to a Team Rocket agent may be dangerous.
"She could come searching for her Pokemon at any time," he said. "And our troubles will start all over again."
Cradling a quietly sobbing Asphodel to her bosom, Magnolia shook her head. "It doesn't matter," she said to him. "She needs a home and we have one to offer."
Asphodel was bashful her time with them, but soon, she warmed up to them and turned from a sweetie to an annoyance. She plagued every aspect of the two teens and their Pokemon's lives. There came a point where even Magnolia couldn't take it anymore.
"Enough!" she cried out loud as the oblivious Psychic-type swung happily from the curtains in her room. "We can't continue like this, James! If she-" Her voice was cut off as Asphodel hollered in glee. Lowering her tone to a firm mumble, she continued with, "I'm going to pull out my hair by the handfuls if I don't get some peace and quiet."
"I-I know what you mean," James sighed, rubbing his temples. "Let's leave and go somewhere. I know, that cafe you like — it's quiet there. We can order some tea and calm down before coming back."
Asphodel fell into the crevice between the bed and wall of Magnolia's room; having let go of the curtain like a Mankey swing between vines hoping to land upon the soft comforter, but missing altogether. As the Psychic-type tried to regain her bearings, James flexed a finger, and both thought this a good opportunity to bolt. When the Ralts finally clambered up the side of the bed and shook the dizziness from her head, the room door was slammed shut before her. Blinking pistachio green eyes, Asphodel pulled herself up to standing on the bed, and tilted her head.
"Hello?" she said. "Magnolia? James? Where'd you go?"
Her only answer was silence.
"Magnoliaaaa! Jamessss! Oiiii!"
Petal raised her head to the Ralts's cries and used Psychic to open the door. When the Pokemon came running through, searching for her trainers, the Espeon tilted her head.
"Where are they?" she asked aloud. "Where did they go?"
"You drove them away," Petal said. "You were being troublesome. It is thanks to you they left."
The Ralts whipped around and stared at the eon offensively. "I-I didn't do anything!" she cried. "Nothing at all!"
The Espeon shrugged. "If you had better control of yourself, then they wouldn't have left," she said. "Simmer with that for a bit."
Asphodel stared on wide-eyed at the Espeon's words before they began to sink in. "I-I didn't mean to..." she said. "I never meant to..."
