This... was it. Finally his time to strike out on his own from the herd! It was a common ritual conducted by members, to gain learning experiences, and round out their views and the like. To grow, and learn, always welcome to return home again. So long he'd heard stories and tales from the others that had come back, and gathered to hold a salon. It was so wondrous, and inspiring.

But... now Shifa was wondering if he should have left when a few groups had prior to him. He'd been offered to come along multiple times but... had always been too nervous to, or didn't feel ready. And now there was no one else taking their journey today... only him. Luckily, Risk had gone ahead just less than a month before, so maybe... maybe he'd run into him! Risk was always so confident, and fearless... something the timid pale healer looked up to. There was no time to waste. The only way to reach him was to head out sooner than later!

It was unnerving, traveling alone. While with his kin he was a natural introvert, and preferred to keep to himself, he did enjoy simply being around the others, even if he wasn't included in their discussions or activities. There was a comforting feeling that came with their presence... maybe the intelligent conversations, the sophisticated chuckles and airs... but now it was just the aria of nature that surrounded him, and the soft hushing of his legs skating against the grasses. Transparent tail curled and coiled anxiously behind him, giving pause once in awhile to nervously glance around his surroundings... truly not sure where to even head for. There was... so much new territory. It was daunting.

Miela hummed softly to herself as she walked. It was't something that she normally did, explore the wolrd on the foot, but it was usefully when she was hunting for foot. And by hunting, she meant searching. Since, unlike some others of her kind, she eat fruits, mostly, not meat. Still, that didn't mean that her favorites were easy to find. She's flown out to the forest to see if she could find some, but so far, no luck. Regardless, walking was nice for a change. It was nice to see things from the ground. To stop and smell the proverbial flowers.

However, she was getting hungry and having no luck finding her favorite foods, so it was time to move on. Find something to launch herself off of and return home to the Flock. There would at least be food there, if not her favorites. She walked confidently out of the woods and into the tall grasses surrounding them, keeping her wings folded carefully on her back as she moved, trying to keep her claws from digging to deeply in the soft earth. It was one of the reasons that she liked to spend more time in the air, or on rockier surfaces, so she didn't risk sinking in too deep. She avoided the swamp like the plague for just that reason.

The grasses felt good against her hide, but she stalled when she saw the stallion who was in the field with her. She recognised him as unicorn, like a certain someone she would not name, but a mix. Kalona, she thought. That was always an interesting pairing. Miela wondered what he would be like.

Ruffling her wings, she started forward again slowly. She wasn't sur ehow he would react to anothr Soquili, so she did't want to startle him too much. Or have him attack her, as Kalonas were known for. Until she knew which side of his lineage his heart followed, it wouldn't hurt to be cautious.

Not that she couldn't defend herself, but she would rather she didn't have too. She was hungry ater all, and it would just put her in a bad mood.

When she got close enough, she stopped and bowed her head in greeting, not taking her eyes off the stallion. Her feathers fluttered around her head, natural colors contrasting the green grass nicely. Were it autumn, she would blend in almost completely. Luckily she wasn't trying to sneak up on anyone today.

She wavered for a second, wondering if she should bring up her missing family. Later in the conversation, perhaps. It wasn't likely that her sister would have encountered the unicorn. Or any ground really. Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Later. Perhaps.

"Hello there."
