Background blurb:
The herd live on the high moutains where the plants are tough and the air is thin, but the deolate landscape holds a vastness and a stark beauty that is unique, and offers the freedom and wild spaces the herd crave. It is a harsh but stunning landscape that calls to their wild nature.
With its hard winters and short but rich summers it is an ever changing world. For the majority of the year the moutains peeks are blanketed in snow. And in winter fierce, vast storms rage along its flanks. The short summer brings lush green into the world, but it doesn't last and the moutains return to their stark majesty. The ponies that call the mountain home live most of the year in a grey world, where grey and white coats give them a distinct advantage over brighter colours. As such their colours have come to reflect their home and has given rise to the name they are now known by. The Mountain Ghosts.
IC News:
Cassius has recently taken over as Lead Stallion, with support from his long time friend Stirling. His spiritbound mate, Darling Dear, is the Lead Mare. The herd is prospering, made evident by the arrival of the lead pair's first foals.
Coat colours - IC:
Most of the herd are some shade of grey. From the pure white coats of cremellos and pearls through all the shades and shapes to the dark iron greys and dun coats. Despite this natural evolution the herd are not bias and all colours are welcomed. Though it is understood that bright colours (bay/chestnut etc) will be disadvantaged in the snow-filled moutains they live in.
Coat colours - OOC:
To maintain the 'Ghost' part of the herd, greys/whites are favoured. While ICly any colour can join, non-grey ponies will be judged on a case-by-case basis. [Non-greys are still welcome! Interesting plots trump colours.] If a spirtbound pair wish to join, so long as one partner has a grey coat, the other can be any colour.
Basically, so long as the herd is 60% or more grey tones, the colour restriction on joining won't be applied.
Soulmates:
Soulmates can be any colour, as the herd places personality far above looks. ICly many of the herd will naturally lean towards grey partners, but all ponies are completely free to pick who ever they like.
