Lashing her tail back and forth she bared her teeth at the tall grey stallion stood before her. “Leave me alone!” She snapped, head darting forwards to snap at his dusky grey shoulder viciously. With lightening-fast reflexes the stallion managed to avoid her strike, stepping sideways and flicking his own tail in agitation.
“Just think about what I said!” He shot back, ears pinned to his head. Avoiding another snap from her blunt teeth he snorted, his deep voice full of frustration. “You are just being difficult!” He cried, at the very end of his usually endless patience.
“Me? Difficult!?” Juno hissed, striding forwards towards the iron-grey male. “And just what did you expect me to say when you come to me with this… this… crackbrained idea?” She demanded ears flat against her head as she lashed out at him again.
Jumping backward to avoid the sharp edge of the mare’s front hoof, Cassius snorted, teeth bared. Tossing his head he sidestepped, irritation making his coat twitch along his shoulders. “YES! You are Difficult! You wont even hear me out!” Shaking his mane furiously he tossed his head at her, unwilling to hurt her by letting his anger surface, frustration refused to let him stand still.
“Fine! But when you come to your senses, you better be ready with an apology!” Kicking up his heels the tall stallion spun and galloped off, leaving behind a cloud of dust and a very irate mare.
“Stallions!” Juno exclaimed, digging her hoof into the ground with anger.
