dawns_aura ((Backlogging for purposes of it making sense. Occurs roughly a hour or two after this rp.)) Quinn shrugged out of his suit jacket and casually tossed it on one of the many chairs in the media room. "God did you see that gossip's face when I told her it was true." He turned to Lianna and struck a pose. He imitated a much older lady who enjoyed to look down her nose at everyone, his hand held a invisible wine glass. "My Dear Boy," His imitation voice was higher then normal and had a slight high society accent, much like a British one, "I Heard the MOST dreadful News the Other day." The lady he was imitating had a strange way of stressing most of her words as if she was reading the headlines of the paper.... all the time. "I had heard that you had gotten.... a JOB." He imitated the shocked aspect, as if she had just announced that Quinn had just beat a puppy... like it was the worst thing in the world. He dropped his imitation and laughed when he remembered her shocked face when Quinn informed the old biddy that he had really gotten a job. One he actually liked. The way she huffed and flounced off to spread the gossip was almost worth the time he spent mingling with all the upper echelon of Destiny City. With a smile wide and bright he indicated the large flat screen tv and cabinets of hundreds of DVD's. "Your welcome to put something on or we can turn on music or just talk. The game room is right across the hall so if you want to play pool or video games we can head over there instead." Anything was better then the party that was still going on upstairs as far as Quinn was concerned.

Sometimes, being female and in the ridiculous if lovely outfits for parties and outings for getting comfortable. She almost envied Quinn the ease he had in getting comfortable. All he had to do was loosen a tie and remove a jacket. There was little she could do, at least until she went home. But she wasn't ready to leave just yet. It had been too long since she spent time with someone her own age in a simple easy setting when there wasn't alcohol involved or if there wasn't going to be something else going on. Sometimes she just missed easy familiar friendship.
The old biddy's face had been amusing. Though she had to admit, it startled her a bit to know that Quinn had gotten a job, and was trying to make it on his own. Startled, because he actually had the guts to go against his family, and also a little bit of envy. She was fortunate enough to have nearly full control of her family fortune - she was set not only for her lifetime, but well beyond even - but she still kind of wanted to know what it was like to actually work for the money she used. Each time she mentioned a job or something like it to her lawyers, advisors, handlers... whatever you wanted to call them, they would scoff at the idea, and metaphorically pat her on the hed before sending her off with a ' you don't need to worry about money or getting a job just yet. You just focus on school and getting the best grades you possibly can.'
It was patronising and damned annoying, so she had taken some of the family fortune and invested in a few companies, so while it wasn't really a job per-say, she was still doing her part to increase the family fortune. But still...
Quinn's imitation of the old gal was both spot on and highly amusing. She laughed along with him about it. She wasn't exactly in the mood for video games or pool - she wasn't dressed for it, cause she was competitive and got into the games and her dress was a little too restrictive, and while she and Quinn were friends, she didn't feel like flashing her bits at him. There were just some things friends did not need to know about each other. Movies sounded good, but so did just sitting and talking. There was so much they could catch up on about each other's life.
'Perhaps a movie and talk. It seems a lot has happened since we last saw each other. Here, I'll just pick a movie, and you can go sneak some snacks and drinks for us.'

Quinn was proud to get her laughing after the gauntlet that was the party. He smiled easily and nodded and the various cabinets to give her access to the movies. "We also have netflix and on demand movies if you don't find anything here to watch." He gestured to the entire system and said "I'll be right back take your time and have fun. I'll go scrounge up some snackage." He headed out of the room and made his way up to the kitchen where the staff was bustling around as if in a intricate dance, which it pretty much was. He dodged a waiter who was just about to head out with a tray of snacks, shooting him a look of annoyance. Quinn made an apologetic face and held the door flagged down one of the cooks and purloined extra snacks, hors d'oeuvre, soda's, and the required ice cream. Quinn made his way carefully back to the media room, juggling the food and drink. He deposited it all on a table and smiled over at Lianna, "Don't drink the soda's yet, I kinda dropped them first." He sorted out the stuff a bit better and added, "Although if you want something else I can go get it."

Lianna nodded her acknowledgement and walked over to the movie cabinets and opened the doors, scanning the movies and humming to herself, barely noticing as Quinn left. There were certain movie types that she discarded immediately as inappropriate, or not ones either of them might be interested in. Action movies were always fun, and so were comedies.... So at least she could narrow down the genre. If only finding the movie itself wasn't so difficult.
By the time Quinn came back, she had narrowed her choices down to three. 'Which would you prefer, US Marshals, Clue or Three Fugitives?'
She walked over to the table and went to grab a soda. After the party, being around so many people in a confined space, she was absolutely parched. But she would rather drink the beverage than wear it, so she set the can back down to wait for the contents to settle. She looked over all the snacks mentally picking out a few she would enjoy during the movie pleased by the amount and selection. Then her eyes lit on the ice cream. 'This looks like a pretty good spread. We shouldn't need anything else. You did bring two spoons out with the ice cream right?'
She started to sit down on the couch, ready to start whichever movie was decided on,when she realised the time. She had told Dell to come around to pick her up after about two or three hours. She needed to get a hold of him soon so he didn't come out to the estate to pick her up only to turn around and go back without her, to then come back again later.
'I need to make a phone call real quick. Don't start the movie without me.'

dawns_aura sorry about the double quote ^.^' Quinn came over and surveyed Lianna's selection a bit surprised she went more comedy than chick flick. "Clue all the way. I love it, but surprised by your choices though." He smiled as he scooped up the DVD and made his way to the system. It would only take home a few minutes to get everything situated and then they would be enjoying the comedy that is Clue. He glanced over at her and nodded. "The spoons should actually be in the pile there. If not I'll run back up and grab some, it's still pretty mad in the kitchen so it would be best if I got them along with anything else we might need in one trip." He had the tv on but the DVD player wasn't connecting right making Quinn frown at the device in confusion. He glanced up briefly as Lianna mentioned making a call, "sure. Go a head and hopefully by the time you get back I will have gotten this thing up and running." He turned back to the system and started to punch buttons on the remote, system menus appearing on the large screen. He muttered to himself as he started to troubleshoot the issue, running through all the possible reasons under his breath all the while hoping to get it fixed and soon. He didn't want to disappoint Lianna or have to call some real tech guy to figure it out, Quinn was enough of a guy that admiring he didn't know how to do something as simple as fixing a DVD player connection grated on his pride.
