Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Lenore walked into the stadium, pensive. Ever since that last trip to the library, she couldn't shake the feeling she was forgetting something really important. It only added to her confusion that, just when she thought she'd figured out what it was, she'd find there were blanks in her memory. For example, when she beat Shina for her first badge - she remembered Mephistopheles falling in battle, and leaving someone in the gym as she ran away. But, for the life of her, she couldn't remember who.
She shook her head clear. She had a battle right now. She could go back to wondering about her memory loss later. Entering the ice field, Lenore pulled out Jin-Gitaxias' pokeball and sent out the gengar.

Lyle wished he kept a jacket with him for the times he ended up on this field. Shorts and a t-shirt were not comfortable here. He shivered as he headed onto the field and tossed out Hematite's pokeball.

Lenore noted the haunter and blinked before calling out a command to Jin-Gitaxias. "Gita, your poison won't work! Try to freeze it!"
Jin-Gitaxias nodded before lifting his arms so they were in front of him. Icy gases began to drift towards the haunter forming a fist-like shape.

Hematite shot upward, letting the icy fist pass harmlessly underneath her. She wiggled her fingers tauntingly at her opponent.
Lyle opted to try for straight damage today. "Hematite, Shadow Claw!"
She drew back one her her hands, which began to glow with a dark aura. The aura shaped itself into an even larger clawed hand, which she shot across the field at Jin-Gitaxias.

"Tch." Lenore scowled as the gengar was shredded by the ghostly claw. "Try putting it to sleep, then!"
Jin-Gitaxias reformed, but left part of his gaseous self floating in the stadium. The gas began to drift towards the haunter.

Hematite's claws was still over-large, and she used it to fan way the approaching gas. Then she reached out to slash at her opponent again.

As Jin-Gitaxias was shredded once more, Lenore decided to remain firm with her tactics. "Keep it up!"
Reforming, the gengar sent more sleeping gas at the haunter.

Hematite tried to wave the gas away again, but this time it slipped through her fingers. She blinked blearily for a moment before her eye closed and she floated limply.
Lyle cupped his hands around his mouth, hoping his voice would get though to her, and yelled "Sleep Talk!"
For a moment nothing happened. Then she shifted slightly and began to mutter.

Slowly a dark aura formed around her hand, then solidified into an overlarge claw. She lazily lifted her hand, then it shot towards her opponent.

As the gengar was ripped apart, he had trouble pulling himself back together. For her part, Lenore got a bad feeling about the sleeping haunter. Better to not take chances at this point. "Try to freeze it, again!"
The gengar was feeling like he himself was the subject of an experiment conducted by the girl, but he followed her command even so, sending a frozen fist at the haunter.

Hematite blinked awake just in time to see an icy fist heading toward her. She quickly turned to gas, letting the attack pass harmlessly through her. When she reformed, her hand was already glowing in preparation fro another Shadow Claw.
