Sneaking into someones yard? Easy. Climbing a tree and managing not to fall of the convent yet suspiciously placed branch to get into someones room? Slight challenge but still fairly easy. Trying not to get caught by the parents, one of which included a father that liked to curse in a foreign language, hard. But he'd done worse right? Right. He could do this. He would be so dead if he was caught, not in the tree, but in the girls room. He was only fourteen. Far to young to be doing this kind of thing, but honestly? Anneliese's dad scared him. And given what he'd been through in the last year or two? That was quite an impressive feat to pull of. "Anelie." He hissed quietly, knocking on her window while trying not to lose his balance. "Annnnnne, let me i- s**t s**t damn. ******** wind." The teen grosed as a gust blew enough to shift the branch he was perched on. Ruriska Someone is subtle as hell...

When there came a rap-tap-tapping at her window, Anelie was actually quite alarmed. She’d been sitting in the middle of her bed, already dressed in PJ’s and a red nightgown, flipping through one of the teen girl magazines that her mother had bought her to keep her occupied. She’d just been reading ‘How to Know You Have a Crush and What to Do About It’. “Derek!” She quickly smothered her mouth with her own hand, glancing towards the door. When she didn’t hear her mother coming to investigate she hurried off the bed and over to the window, sliding it open. “Be careful!” Leaning against the sill, she offered a bandaged hand, already grinning with the sheer delight of seeing him again.

"Shhh!" He hissed when she squealed his name. "Do you want to get in trouble?" He paused. "Okay, well, get in even more trouble." The blonde climbed through the window eagerly, ready to get off that damnable branch before he almost fell a second time, though as quiet as possible. "I'm a freaking dead man if your parents walk in right now. I am also waaaaaaaaaaay to tall for this sort of thing now, that was a hell of a lot easier when I was shorter." It would have been easier still if her room was on the first floor but, eh, beggars cant be choosers. Her hands were still bandaged, even after a weeks time had passed. "So... How bad was all of it??" Were your ribs broken?" The teen sat on her floor, back to the window just in case he needed to make a quick get away if Anelie's parents showed up. Again he paused, his eyes moving from her bandaged hands to her face. "...Are you okay now?" It had been a week since she'd called to him in the park, and in all honesty, after it all, Derek wasn't really sure what to do. Normally he didn't give a rats a** if someone was hurt. But he'd know Anelie... er Aludra, for a while now. So maybe that was different? Plus there was Anelie's dad. Her loud, angry, language screaming dad. Yeah that was kind of enough reason to not show up for a week. Yep. "You are okay right?" He asked, suddenly nervous that there was an injury he hadn't known about that night. "Did you get in to a lot of trouble?" Ruriska Romeo has the grace of.... well nothing. What have you gotten yourself into Juliette

“You’d be less dead if you’d just knocked on the door,” she admonished him, giving him a once over once he was safely inside. Of course, if he’d done that they would be been forced to make awkward small talk in the lounge room with her mother hovering over them. “I’ll give you my phone number so you can text me next time.” Anelie settled down beside him and immediately popped her head on his shoulder. “I’m okay.” She spread her hands out in front of them. “Second degree burns. My mother still doesn’t want me to take bandages off but they’re healing well. My ribs were only fractured.” All in all, she was getting better in leaps and bounds. Kids always recovery quickly, the doctor had told her parents just yesterday. “My parents are still… unhappy. They want to know what happened. Oh and my dad is trying to sue the school. It’s a bit messy.” [Mistress Morbid] could be worse, she says, and he has his charms 8P

"If I did that I think your dad would just glare at me the whole time. Plus I think he scares me. Weirdest car ride home ever. But your number would be... helpful." Well now he felt stupid. He probably should have gotten that before everything. Idealy when they'd met up in front of the store that one time. In turn, he probably should have given her his. He tensed when she dropped her head on his shoulder. "That's uh, good. Er, about you being okay I mean. The second degree burns and fractures are uh, sucky?" Derek blinked, trying to picture it. "Your dad thinks the school did this? That seems a little.... out there doesn't it?" "Are you going to tell them? I mean, about what happened. About any of it?" He asked tentatively. "I know others have told their families but." Hell, Aludra was the first person he had ever told who he was. Persephone didn't even know that. Ruriska Charms my butt. WHAT CHARMS DO YOU SEE IN HIM ALU.

It was comfortable here, more relaxing than anything from the last week. Anelie closed her eyes and hummed her agreement. “He can be a bit scary.” Not to her but he could have quite the temper when he was mad. “I was supposed to be on a school camp. He thinks they failed to look after me.” There’d also been a lot of paperwork involved and they could hardly be held accountable for a young girl running off in the middle of the night. “I think he just wants somebody to blame.” She sighed. “No. Not yet. If I did, they’d never let me out again. They’ll try to stop it.” [Mistress Morbid] he has nice hair maybe??! he's also a sweetie pie

"Do I... do I even wanna know what he was saying? ...What was he saying?" "It's camp though, weird stuff always goes on when your at camp." Derek huffed, crossing his arms and sulking. "Wouldn't it be smarter to go after whoever was in charge of the camp? Unless that was the Principal in which cause then I guess he's on the right track." "We could show them there are others? I mean, we could show them.. you know, the other me." Maybe not show him that Derek and Dionysus were one in the same because that would raise a few weird questions. "I don't think they can stop it though." Derek said quietly. "You are who you are and we have to do this... Even if we don't like it." And they both knew there were plenty of things they didn't like about any of this. Derek glanced at her as she relaxed further. "I'm glad your okay though. Even if I acted a bit... goofy." Ruriska how has she not started using him like a giant chair yet. ALSO I FORGOT HER HEIGHT. Again. ...I need it for reasons. |D Also "goofy" is your invitation to be like FFF no it was adorable and watch him be like =///A///= omg no shut up.

Anelie laughed quietly. "I really shouldn't repeat it." She shifted closer, linking one of her arms with his, as if making sure he couldn't suddenly jump up and out the window. "I don’t know. He yells about it a lot and I’ve stopped listening." It would go away sooner or later. Time would ease the panic. She peeked up at him with a thoughtful frown. "You would do that?" He’d done so much for her already and his offer set off grateful butterflies in her stomach. "Oh Dio. Oops," a slip of the tongue. "Derek, I mean. Hm. I still need to figure out a nickname for you." She made that humming sound of agreement again. "You’re right though. We do have to do this. I know what my path is now. They can’t stop it. I just don’t want them to worry yet. It’s easier for me, if they don’t know. But if anything ever happens to me. Promise me you’ll tell them everything." Anelie stared up at him beseechingly, an expression that quickly shifted to amused fondness. "You weren’t goofy. You were sweet and amazing and thank you." Ah that’s right, she’d wanted to play with his hair. [Mistress Morbid] there's still time. 8D she's working her way there, hurhur. also, um, 5'2 I think I said? xD

Oh. Well that didn't sound good. Derek flinched at the thought of what her dad could have possibly said. Then they were arm and arm. He forced himself to try and relax, or rather, his arm, letting her toy with it as she saw fit. At her question he shrugged awkwardly. "I mean, we probably shouldn't tell them its me, not with your dad and all, but some of the older senshi and knights could probably vouche for us and convince them." "Don't." He hissed quietly. "Don't talk like that. Please... I don't even wanna think about it." But of course, now he was. Derek just gave her a small nod. "Alright..." "I was panicing." He protested. Who could blame him though. He'd seen it happe n time and time again. "I should have gotten you home sooner." What if her injuries had been more severe and they just didn't know it. "What if you had died..." Ruriska Hes a foot taller xD. YOU GONNA SCARE HIM TALKING LIKE THAT ANELIE

“I didn’t mean that. Even just facing them next to me as Dionysus is a big deal.” Anelie informed him. She tried to think of somebody else she’d bring with her to such a meeting and couldn’t come up with one name. For all the acquaintances she’d come across, true connections and friends were oddly lacking. She’d probably spent more time talking to people from the Negaverse than any Senshi. She gave his arm a reassuring squeeze. “We have to be prepared, Derek. We have to think about the bad things that could happen and not let that stop us. It doesn’t mean it’s going to come true.” She just couldn’t bear to have her parents left wondering how anything so terrible could have happened to their only daughter. “I’m sorry I made you panic.” She said, reaching up to touch his golden curls. “But you were marvellous. And whatever happens, we’ll take care of each other from now on.”

"We could always ask people from... you know." Derek sighed. Though given what happened when they tried to meet up? Horrible idea. "Never mind." Even if Alexandria was now back in the circuit, and a power level higher, Derek knew he was still just as touchy about that day as he was. The young teens sulk just got worse as she talked. "I thought we promised to not let that come true. If it doesn't happen I don't need to tell your parents s**t." Derek blinked when he felt a hand in his hair and he turned to face her slightly. He blinked at her again, only to pull his arm free from her grasp and pull her into his lap. Derek tried very hard to ignore the way his face lit up, grumbling something under his breathe about 'shut up' and 'don't say a word or I'll go home'. He focused on a spot on her floor. He'd rather look anywhere but her at the second. "It's fine... It's not like you could help it." He grumbled. She'd been hurt. That's what happened in these kinds of situations. "I didn't feel marvelous. I couldn't even help you." A hand disappeared into his pocket and he pulled something out. A pen. A senshi's pen. "...Do you remember this?" He asked softly. It was Biela's. Anelie would recognize the colors anywhere. He knew that. "Please don't make me have to carry yours around too." Ruriska Oops I beat you too it. also I think he's hooked. just a wee bit. yep

“And it won’t happen, I’m only saying-“ Her words were cut off as she was abruptly shifted into Derek’s lap, giving a soft ‘squeak’ of surprise. Judging by the heat in her cheeks, she was definitely blushing and if maybe the move had jostled her ribs a bit, then she certainly didn’t mind. “You came for me when I called, that was all the help I needed,” she told him, deciding she might as well make the most of their new position and snuggle up. Anelie relaxed against him, head just under his chin. When the pen was revealed, she took in a sharp breath. “Of course,” she said, sorrow in her voice. “You won’t have to. I promise. Please put that away. I don’t want to think about any of that right now.” Biela’s pen was a kick in the guts. It reminded her about how fragile they all were just as she was working to restore her confidence. “Let’s talk about something nice. Like, um, do you have any siblings?” It was strange to think she didn’t know anything about him and yet were already so close. [Mistress Morbid] she's pleased cool anelie says you belong to me now hurhur

"That was all I could do. I don't know any first aid training at all. I could have made your ribs worse they they already were." Derek muttered lightly as he rested his chin lightly on the top of her head. "I just wish I could have done more for you. Helped you more then I did. You can keep telling me I helped all you want. It just doesn't feel that way." The pen disappeared back into Derek's pocket almost as quickly as it had appeared. "Yeah well... If I have to tell your parents somethings happened to you... There's always the possibility that-" His words trailed off as he again sighed, his arms wrapping losely around her stomach. "Biela, Persephone. I can't lose you too Anelie. Doesn't matter if it's death or... or whatever we had turned into. I can't do either of that again. I just can't. Not with you too. I don't want to go through that again." He honestly didn't know if he could handle it again. "Nah... It's just me. I am an only child... Unless my parents decide to get... busy." The blonde scowled at the thought. Ew. "Mom says that we have a huge family though. Which is great. I guess?" He shrugged. Anelie wished she could put his mind at ease but no amount of words would do the job. She could promise, but in the end, there was always the possibility and her promise would be broken. All she could do was fight as hard as she could to become stronger. “It’s going to be okay,” she told. “Please believe me.” She couldn’t help but giggle after that. “My mum can’t have anymore children, so I’ll always be an only child.” That reminder made her feel worse about what she was putting her parents through. “We have a big family as well but most of them are in Germany. I’ve been there a couple of times.” [Mistress Morbid] she'll have to invest in a leash as well 8P hey dad, remember that dog you kept promising me, well i've decided to have a dio instead, look he's even house-trained

Derek was silent as he picked his chin up off her head, only to gently press his forehead against her hair. Was this all that it was going to be? Making empty promises in hopes that one of them come true and for once they don't get hurt? The blonde's eyes drifted past her hair, to one of her hands. He was honestly tired of hoping. His hand moved, curling around hers where he gave it a gentle squeeze. It was high time he started believe in something, so why not believe in her? "I do." He said lightly. "Eh, you say that. Just watch. One day you'll come home and be all like 'Surpriiiiiiiiiiiiise. We're adopting a kid.' There's ways around this kinda stuff." He shrugged lightly. "Plus, you never know. You could be friends with someone that's like a sibling." He knew that for a fact. A damned, curse able fact. Pulling his head away from her hair only to shift slightly and rest it against the side of her head. "Explains why your dads so good at screaming... whatever it was hew as screaming. I've never been outside the states." Ruriska Planet time? She can ask him more questions there.
