It had been dawn when Chandra felt he had the courage to go into the forest of Jauhar and look for Eira and her troupe. It had been misting that morning, a very light rain that soon cleared off as he approached the village of Neued. To say that he was nervous was perhaps an understatement. Checking and rechecking that the trinket was in his pocket, paranoid that it would manage to drop on the trek there.

He had requested his brother look after Awen while he was gone, and he hoped his brother would stay home out of his respect for their earlier conversation. It still made him worrisome as he neared Neued though, what if the troupe had left? The first thing he would have to do is question the villagers and hope they had some information. Shaking the lingering water off his cloak he looked about locating the nearest person who was working and inquired about the troupes whereabouts.

It had taken a few people before he pieced together the whereabouts of the troupe his heart relieved as his anxiety passing on the idea they may of already left the area. Now a new anxiety came up as he was going to give Eira the gift. Swallowing he couldn't help but find himself a reflective service and check himself over a couple times, smoothing out his hair, checking that his attempt at a beard was okay and then feeling a moment of intense panic...

What if she laughed at him? There was such a gap in their ages that he never considered she may just think him being a cute child. No..he would just have to convince her of it otherwise. Yes. Sighing he put the bracelet he had been fiddling with back in his pocket and then went to where the troupe had allegedly set up camp. Apparently they were trying to build an inn here and that...made him hopeful. It meant he could see her more often if they were sticking to one location.

Coming across the site he looked around, trying to find his goddess amongst the tents and lumber that had been gathered. Clearing his throat he tried to call out her name but found the word garbled in his throat due to a sudden shyness.

Eira looked around the area that they had claimed as their own with the help of a couple that Gyuri had met a short time ago. It was a lovely spot, one that she could see as being their new home, and it was something that had her smiling brightly just thinking about it. All that they had to do now was... well, all the hard work. Here she'd thought that the hardest part was going to be to find the area that they were going the build the inn on. Instead it appeared now as though that were the easiest part. Gathering what they needed to build the inn was going well enough with everyone helping. Even more so with Gyuri using his pet capramel to help drag the supplies in to the area as well.

Turning slowly to look amongst the tents she gave a thoughtful sound. They had a good sized group of people. Their core members, those like Falwyn who had joined and were learning from other members of the group, and a few others that had joined for various other reasons and took on various other jobs. Some where troupe members, others helping out as more guards who were under the command of Gyuri and Sin'qua, the group was a decent size now, meaning that they had a lot of hands to help out with the building of the inn, her inn, and they were her group. It was something that made her heart soar just thinking about it.

Turning she was about to call out for Gyuri when she heard someone half call out in a manner that sounded a bit choked. Turning slowly she looked in the direction of the odd call and saw someone she wasn't really expecting. Turning around toward the young man she started to walk toward him, her jewelry jingling as she approached him, "Hello there, Chandy." She said in a welcoming tone, "Come to join my little troupe? New members are more then welcome so long as you're willing to help build the inn along with everyone else."

Chandy. A nickname that would normally make him want to punch a person who dared called him something so childish and yet when it was uttered from her lips...it seemed perfectly natural. All that nervousness suddenly overflowed and it was like his brain melted at just the sight of her...looking up he tried not to stare and look into her eyes instead.

"Ah..." He began trying to recall words and how they worked in the real world. A stupid expression on his face like a love smitten spitorog. Shaking his head slowly as he realized he may start drooling soon he ran a hand through his hair nervously.

"Ah..ha...no..not exactly...y..you loo..k..b..beautiful.." Chandra stuttered like a moron cursing himself as he was not being nearly as cool as he wanted to be. In fact he was doing exactly the opposite..and being quite a kid about it all. Trying to find his bravery or at least his anger to harness some sense of calm headedness he cleared his throat. "So..y..your troupe is setting up her...here?" Chandra asked trying to make conversation.

Tilting her head to one side, one hand resting on her hip, she watching the boy as he struggled with his words. It was kind of cute, the way that his words seemed to get blurted out and made no real sense. It was cute though, wasn't it? Giving a soft laugh she said, "Thank you, Chandy, I am glad to hear that I am still looking beautiful despite the fact that I have been working so hard lately." She reached out a hand to ruffle his hair gently, then smiled.

"Hm? Oh, yes, this will be where our inn is going to stand. Well, one day at least. It's a pretty big job, but given enough time it will be a beautiful place." She couldn't wait, wanting nothing more then to see her dream of an inn, one staffed by her troupe, realized. It would still take some time but it was something that she was looking forward to. Now that she thought about it though he'd said 'not exactly' wen it came to joining the troupe. A shame to that he wasn't planning to stay, she felt they could use more cute boys to fill out the ranks of the troupe. Given he didn't seem as though he was here to join she couldn't help but to wonder what brought him here.

Giving the boy her best smile she asked, "So if not to join us, why did you come, Chandy? Just a visit?"

Chandra found his brain which had been running a million miles a minute suddenly had churned to a stop. Dragging its feet now in conversation he was looking more stupid as the time went past. When she ruffled his hair he felt elated and irritated. It was something a grown up did to children or close friends, and he was beginning to think she saw him in the prior rather than later. The contact though still made him want to melt regardless.

Clearing his throat again he had to speak otherwise she was just going to think he was strange and perhaps a stalker.

"That is really great to hear, I was worried your troupe would be gone and.I wouldn't be able to see you again." Chandra admitted if a bit daringly hoping by flirting slightly she would get that he was interested in her, his face though was blushing as he spoke to her and he was very glad that Awen was safe at home right now. "AH...well did you have a moment to spare? I was hoping I could talk to you more..privately." The young man requested as he didn't want to get her the gift out in plain view of anyone who could waltz by.

"Well, this is where we will be from now on, so we should be easy enough for you to find." Eira said, giving him a smile, "That is sort of the point, for people to be able to find us easily, which should mean a lot of visitors which is what I am looking forward to. Once the get our inn set up that is." Something that made her smile just thinking about it. She meant to make her inn the most popular one around no matter how much work it took to get it there.

As Chandra suddenly asked her if she had a moment to spare, commenting on how he wanted to talk to her privately. It was something that caused her to pause for a moment before she nodded, "I am sure that we could have a nice chat. How about you come walk with me, Chandy, and we can chat as we go." She invited him with a smile, motioning to him to follow along after her. There wasn't anywhere in the area that was perfectly empty or completely private, meaning that the closest they could get was walking around. This way she would also be able to be found if anyone really needed her for something.

Licking it lower upper lip quickly he nodded his head and began to walk with Eira in the direction she wanted to go in. He stopped though as soon as he started and then after gathering a large amount courage offered her his arm in a gentlemanly like fashion. Chandra swore that his face was the same color as the sun as it felt just as hot as he imagined it could be. He would much rather take her hand but that seemed to cross a line he wasn't brave enough to venture through. Besides he had no idea what she thought of him beyond...being nice and using cute nicknames for him.

"I..hope you .get it built quickly..th..then i could find you easily next time.." he managed with a cough as he tried to avoid eye contact. His extended arm still out for her to take..

Eira couldn't help but to give a little chuckle as the young man offered her his arm, seeming as though he were intent upon being her escort for the walk that they were talking. She considered for a moment before taking the offered arm, "You really are too sweet, aren't you, Chandy?" This really did made her day, how cute he was acting, but then again she seemed to be quite good at ruffling the feathers of men around her, something that she often took pride in. Still, it was nice to see in action, especially the way that he was blushing so brightly.

"I am with you on that one, Chandy, I hope the inn is up and running soon too." It was comfortable enough sleeping in the tents she supposed, but the idea that she might be able to get a nice bed sometime soon, that was likely what she was looking forward to the most out of everything. Not that she would admit that out loud, not wanting to seem as though she was weak or something. No, she would keep that little secret to herself. As the two of them started to walk along, sticking near to the camp that Gyuri wouldn't worry about her, but far enough off that they had some form of privacy, "Once it's up and running, even before, you're welcome to visit if you like."

Feeling her skin touch against his Chandra's step faltered for a moment, like a misstep on a loose stone he felt like a moron. How could he be so nervous around her? Was it because she was so pretty? So mature? Was it because he so desperately wanted her to return his feelings for her? Sure he didn't know a single thing about her, and just knew she was beautiful. He loved her laugh, her smile...her brea...s..

Clearing his throat he never imagined that his tastes would...go in that direction. But at the same time it was hard to ignore those beauties. He nearly died of course when she invited him to come watch whenver he wanted even if the inn wasn't built yet.

"Ah...." Words died in his brain. They never even made it passed the sudden mental blockade and rush of hormones. "IfyouneedhelpIcandoit.justnameitanything." Came the sudden rush of words flying out of his mouth.

Eira's eyes went a little wide with surprised when Chandra went from struggling with his words to saying all of the words in one long string. She blinked a couple times then gave a soft laugh, "Thank you, Chandy, I will keep the offer in mind for sure." She told him, patting the arm that she was holding onto with one hand. He really was sweet offering her the help, something might just take him up on if the need for help that he could offer arose. He was young yet but still he seemed quite motivated, which in and of itself could be quite useful.

Continuing the walk Eira watched her companion closely for a moment before asking, "How have you been since we last met, Chandy? It's been a while it seems, at least long enough for you to get yourself a beard it would seem." Had it really been that long? A while she supposed, their last meeting having been at the tail end of the war, something she was glad to see end. She gave a thoughtful sound then said, "How have you been spending your time?" Perhaps asking him some direct questions would help him as far as making it easier to for him to talk in a less rushed manner? She supposed she'd see soon enough if the idea panned out.

It was like a blessing in disguise as she began to ask him questions, about his life what he had been doing and he slowly began to relax without him realizing it. He explained about how his mother seemed to be getting more upset than normal and how his brother seemed to have an ever expanding zoo. As they continued walking he felt like this could be natural thing, him holding onto a woman's arm as they walked. He felt his courage build and his free hand went into his pocket where the bracelet was. His thumb ran over the pink stones slowly and he tried to consider an appropriate time to give her the gift.

"I gain rank with our village. I am now a healer, not as good as my uncle mind you. And my sprite Awen got hurt...she is with my brother right now since she gets jealous easily." Chandra laughed slightly feeling more at ease with the passing of conversation. Was it time now to give Eira his gift? What should he say? What would be appropriate? As they slowed down he went to remove his arm from hers and instead bravely went to take her hand in his.

"Eira, I have something I've wanted to tell you..."

"Oh my, did you now? Congratulations, Chandy, I am most impressed." She said, giving him a smile as he explained that he had given rank without his village, seeming to be learning the ways of a healer, "It's a very noble profession I have learned, I must admit I am always impressed when I see someone taking such a route since I know it can be difficult. I wish you luck with it." She'd seen Makani as he went about doing the healer thing during war times, it was a job that could be very exhausting at times, so here was to hoping that Chandra had more restraint then her brother when it came to trying to do everything at once.

"Your sprite was hurt? I hope that she gets to feeling better soon. Perhaps she can meet with my sprite, Flurry." She offered, not sure what Flurry might think of the idea of Eira setting up play dates for him, but it might be good for him to get out and meet more of his own kind. Giving a soft chuckle at what Chandra said next she said, "Well now, I am glad she stayed with your brother then, if she gets jealous then I doubt she'd approve of you allowing me to take your arm." She said in a joking manner, giving him a little wink.

Eira gave Chandra a curious sort of look when he said that he had something that he wanted to tell her. It was a comment that left her wondering what it was that he might want to say to her, "Is that so? What is it, Chandy?" She asked curious of him.

This was it, after all now that he had broached the subject he couldn't just choke up here or change the subject. What should he start with ? Compliment her? Offer her the gift? Why was he so nervous??? It wasn't as if he was proposing to her and yet he felt like this was a hit or miss situation. If he pitched the idea and she didn't bother to swing at it...then his first crush and perhaps love was doomed.

"Eira...ever since I met you I can't get you out of my mind. Your beauty and grace...they are always in my dreams and you have bewitched me. I...know you probably see me as a child, but..." Reaching into his pocket he withdrew the bracelet and for a fleeting moment realized that it paled in comparison to how pretty Eira was.

"I had this made for you, though now it feels plain when next to you." Chandra managed his face still blushing madly as he offered the bracelet to her. "I ..hope..you can accept my feelings..."

Eira found herself starring again, eyes a little wide, as the boy spoke, giving her quite a few compliments, even claiming that Eira had bewitched him, and despite feeling that Eira likely saw him as a child he was suddenly offering her a present. Her gaze felt to the cute bracelet that he was holding, taking in the look of it, before lifting her gaze to Chandra bright red face once more. Hmm, a love confession? She had to admit that this one was sort of new to her. She'd had people, many of them, flirting with her before. Falwyn was a fine example of that, and it was mostly a game to her these days. They flirted, she flirted back, but she couldn't recall anyone claiming that she'd bewitched them and that she was always in their dreams.

How to deal with such a heartfelt claim? She didn't want to be mean after all, didn't want to deny his present and shoot him down, not when he was nothing but sweet up to this point. Reaching a hand out she took the bracelet that he'd offered to her, "You needn't worry about it being plain, Chandy, what matters is that you seemed to work very hard on it." She told him, then gave him a smile, "And I thank you for it, and your lovely words, they are both more then I deserve." She said, looking the bracelet over, brushing her thumb against the glittering beads.

He really had put a lot of effort into the bracelet, hadn't he? What a sweet boy he was she thought to herself before she said, "I will, of course, accept your feelings, it would be cruel to do otherwise. I am afraid that I don't think that I can't return them though at this point, not when we don't really know one another, my darling Chandy."

When she took the bracelet he felt his heart skip a beat, he watched her intently as if he blinked she may vanish. His heart felt like it was beating so loud she must of been able to hear it. When she began to speak he felt his spirits lifting, a false sense of hope rising and then it was dashed. The young man's face looked bewildered as if the bracelet should of just made her madly fall in love with him even if he knew that would never happen. She accepted the gift and his feelings but she couldn't return them.

One could almost sense him deflating, as if his nervousness and courage to tell her such things were suddenly taken away. Anger was the only thing left but he didn't want to get angry at her. Never Eira.

"o..oh.." Was the only thing he could think of saying, what else could he say? It wasn't like he could just convince Eira to change her mind. He couldn't do it forcefully. Dare he ask why? Well she had stated why..they didn't really know each other. And that was a very honest answer, she didn't know him. They had only met once before and his feelings probably came out of left field for her.

"I..s there som..e one else?" Chandra dreaded to ask the question, but he felt he had to know. If she felt she couldn't return his feelings due to the fact they didn't know each other..perhaps he still had a chance.

Eira felt more then a little guilty seeing the way that her words seemed to cause the boy to sort of deflate. That hadn't quite been what she wanted to see happen, but at the same time she couldn't exactly string him along now could she? That wouldn't be at all fair to Chandra, so it seemed better to turn him down in a swifter manner. It would still hurt, of course, but it wouldn't drag it out. How she wanted to apologize, though doing so felt wrong, she couldn't apologize for not feeling one way or other after all.

At his next question, one she was half expecting, she shook her head, "No, nothing like that and nobody else." She hoped that he believed her, especially when she knew some people seemed to assume things about her and Gyuri given she was often times seen chatting with him since he was the main bodyguard for the troupe.

Chandra went quiet for a bit and then as if the cogs in his head began to turn again he nodded slowly. "I understand, you have a valid point...the intellectual in me recognizes what you say is a valid reason to not be able to return my feelings." Chandra managed sounding a bit too adult for his age, but some part of him felt was like the child was smothered out or tied up for the time being.

"Would it still be okay for me to come visit? Perhaps...with time..you may change your thoughts about me." Chandra managed with a small nod of his head, perhaps he was thinking a bit too optimistically. "I am not really strong but I could still help you with building your inn. I doubt my feelings will change Eira..but I agree that we should get to know each other better. I hope..you are okay with me still wanting to be near you."

Eira gave a soft sigh as she listened to Chandra, taking in the way that he was trying to act grown up and mature about everything that had happened between them. It was enough that she wanted to wrap her arms around him and drag him in for a hug, to tell him that he didn't have to act that way... though that might send mixed messages. Best that she didn't confuse the boy she decided and merely gave a nod.

"You're welcome to come by any time you like, Chandy." She told him, then gave a soft laugh, "Well, to be honest I am not all that strong myself, I sort of leave the more physical aspects of the building to those like Gyuri. I am a bit more like a supervisor. I am sure we could use your help though, especially if you don't mind helping to patch up cuts and scraps now and again. I can't leave that completely on my brother's shoulders after all."

Giving him another smile, a brighter one this time, and she said, "I don't mind the two of us getting to know you, and I can assure that I probably won't chase you off just because you might want to stick around." No reason he couldn't hang out, especially if he didn't mind helping out in one way or the other. They could really use all the help they could get and she wouldn't mind getting to know a bit more about him, though she couldn't exactly promise anything as far as feelings were concerned. She hoped that they might be able to be friends, but doubted that was something he wanted to hear at present.

Chandra felt a bit confused on the inside, as much as he was trying to remain an adult and be mature about his first crush not being able to return his feelings there was part of him that just didn't want to see her again. Wouldn't it be easier on him if he just forgot about her? Instead of exposing himself to her over and over? Still he couldn't bring himself to never see her, and he may have a chance with her if he did stick around so it was worth a shot right?

With a sigh he tried to smile, though it was lopsided and broken before he swallowed and gently took her hand in his and raised it to his lips. "This is farewell for now then. I hope eventually you will see me in a different light. But for now..I must go." Yes it made sense for him to leave now, and a large part of him told him he was stupid to push things but he wanted at least ..one kiss he could remember her by. Even if it was just her hand.

Eira gave a little nod of her head, "If you're sure that you have to go then I understand." It would be mean of her to try to make him stay, especially at the moment. He probably had a lot that he had to think about and he probably wanted to think about it on his own, "I know it might not seem it, but I did enjoy seeing you again, Chandy." She told him, sliding the bracelet he gave her onto the wrist of the hand that he'd kissed. She'd have to take good care of the cute bracelet she thought to herself, not wanting anything to happen to it since it was made with care and a lot of strong feelings.

"Feel free to come and visit us any time you like. We will likely be right here." She said, leaving him with an open invitation to come back again when he was feeling up to it.
