we have a lot of birds around our place (my male and i "rent" the upstairs apartment at my folks' place) and we share in feeding them.
i got a chunk of suet, flavored with peanuts as well as wheat and corn.
the woodpeckers especially like it.
i left it out on the counter while i was doing some other chore, and mom picked it up and took a big bite out of it!
after screaming loudly, she said that actually it wasn't all that terrible. it was just the thought of gobbling suet that horrified her.. razz

Such a mom thing to do.
There was this snack called bird bars back in college that was pretty much birdfeed for humans.
So delicious.
