Rain Isn't the Only Problem
Prompt 2
RP point

There were places in Tendaji that were used to the rain, like Jauhar; others saw it as a blessing, getting so little in their day to day lives, like Tale and Oba. Then there were those individuals who saw to it that they used the rain to its full advantage. The sheets of rain came down and it was easy enough to use the cloak of it as a cover for raiding and looting. With everything seeming so gray, who would be able to see the misty figures dip in and out of a home within a matter of moments? Bandits were on the move and scouring Tendaji for targets.

And it isn’t long before they become your problem.

This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be a looter, or they can be a victim.

This battle prompt will be resolved by rolling 1D100.
Stage 2 must roll 60-100 for success. - Ilyra fails
Stage 3 must roll 50-100 for success. - Briella succeeds

          || Success will result in 50exp in addition to the versatile point
          || Failure will only allow for the versatile point credit.

Briella
It took a long time for Briella to track down Ilyra, and once she found her daughter it was just a waiting game until Ilyra woke up. They two of them were fighting in the war until somehow Briella lost sight of her daughter. After the skirmish was over Ilyra was no where to be find and it took a lot of questioning for Briella to find out that her daughter had been taken by an Oban women that was against the war. She went to the women's home and was pleased to find her daughter in piece, even if she was in a deep sleep.

It took some time but eventually Ilyra woke. She didn't remember much at first, and it took time for her to become the same person she was with the same capabilities but it was finally time for the pair of them to head back home to their loved ones. Ilyra hadn't been able to shut up about finding Tahigwa again and reuniting. This war had messed up all of their plans, and Briella was looking forward to being reunited with a special someone as well.

"We should head back to the camp Ilyra. We have enough food for the night and the rain has gotten pretty bad." Briella called through the rain towards her daughter.

Ilyra
Ilyra nodded, holding the cloak around her tightly. The two of them were staying with a shifter woman in the outskirts of Jauhar. She knew it was going to be no time at all before she would be reunited with her true love. She knew some time had passed, and was a little worried that perhaps her girlfriend had moved on. Sure their love was strong, but there was always a chance...

As they neared the house she thought she saw something in the shadows. Pausing she looked over at her mom. "Mom..."

Briella
"I see. Stay low." Briella immediately put a hand in front of her daughter. Although Ilyra was more than capable of taking care of herself she was Briella's daughter and Briella would never let her come to harm.

She strained to see through the grey haze, but her antennae was enough for her to pick up that there were two of whatever there was. They were earthlings, of that she was sure, but Briella wasn't sure what kind. They seemed to be creeping around the shifters house, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet. They could be just visitors.

"You stay here," she said firmly.

Ilyra
Rolling her eyes Ilyra had to hold in a sigh. No matter how old she was Briella treated her like she was the youngling that Briella found her as so long ago. "Mom. I can handle myself--" a look from her mother had her stop mid-sentence.

Ilyra turned her head back towards the home just in time to see the earthlings peaking into the window. No these were not friends of the shifter women they were staying with, friends wouldn't do something like that. "Mom..." she readied her bow, waiting for her mother's command before doing anything.

Briella
Briella frowned at her daughter. She was so hasty. But still, she grabbed her swords. "Just be ready, but stay behind." she took a step forward and heard her daughter do the same. "Ilyra. I mean it. Bow is better for long distance anyways. Stay here."

Crouching low to the ground she moved silently towards the house. Although she wanted to attack, to protect the home of the woman who was taking care of them, she still wasn't sure that the two earthlings were intruders. It would look very bad on both her and Ilyra if they attacked friends of the woman.

Ilyra
She could stay behind and still be of help. Not only with her bow, but with the little bit of magic she had. Watching as Briella got closer and closer to the house Ilyra started to concentrate, the magic in her swelling up.

All of a sudden the two earthlings stopped what they were doing and turned in the direction that her mother was going. It was also then that Ilyra noticed the gleam of their weapons. No these were not visitors.

Panicking she called out. "Mom watch out!"

Briella
She was convinced that being in a coma had done something to Ilyra's mind. She should have known better than to call out. The two men, for now that they were closer Briella could identity them as shifter men, heard Ilyra's call and started towards Ilyra. With a shake of her head Briella threw herself from the bushes that she had been hiding in and towards the bigger of the two.

"Now Ilyra, fire!" she said as she slashed towards the man. He had one sword, which made Briella confident. She knew how to fight against a sword.

Ilyra
She had meant to do that. Letting an arrow loose it went flying towards the smaller of the men, who looked like he was about to double team her mother. The arrow landed by his feet which caused Ilyra to frown. She was better than that. Even with the fog she should have at least hit him somewhere.

The man had a spear and was heading her way. With a flick of her wrist Ilyra released the spell that had been brewing inside of her, just as she had been taught, causing the man to stumble as the ground beneath his feet moved slightly. Sure it wasn't as strong as it once was, but Ilyra was glad to still have the little bit of magic she did. In time she would be back to level she once was, hopefully.

Briella
If she had seen the arrow missed her concern for her daughter would have went up considerably, but since she was preoccupied with the man she was fighting she had missed it. He slashed at her legs with his sword, but she was quick to get him with her two blades on his left arm. It wasn't his sword arm, but it did earn her a scream from him. With a smile she pushed forward, sure that her daughter was safe. Plus the faster that she took out this man the faster she would be able to go and assist her daughter.

Ilyra

The man hit her in the stomach with his spear, knocking Ilyra back on the floor. She was to close to let an arrow loose with her bow, but she was still strong enough to stab him with one of them. She hit him on the calf, causing him to scream.

"You--" he continued to talk but also hit Ilyra in the head. Slowly the world faded for her.

Briella
Although she was focused she heard her daughter fall to the ground, and was able to catch a glimpse of the man standing over Ilyra. She screamed, going into a frieze of attacks at the man in front of her. It didn't take him long to realize that he stood no chance and talking toward the man over Ilyra he turned and ran off.

As soon as she could Briella rushed to her daughter and began calling upon her limited healing magic. There was a small gash on Ilyra's head that she slowly healed. "Come on my love. Wake up." she knew that it wasn't anything huge, but she was a mother so she was scared.

Ilyra

As suddenly as the world had went black, it came back into view. "What..." oh talking made her head hurt. Looking around at her mother and the surrounding area she noticed that the men were gone and the shifter that was staying with them was rushing towards them.

"Mom what happened?" she asked as she tried to sit up.

Briella
"Don't worry you're going to be fine. I scared them off." she reassure Ilyra as she patted her head. The woman was at their side. "Come on let's get you up and into the house Ilyra. You need some rest." and if she was being honest with herself so did she. The spell and the fighting had taken it out of her.

With the woman's help she lead Ilyra back into the home. The shifter woman promised to stay up, just in case the thieves came back, and that was enough for Briella. Curling around her daughter it didn't take long for her to fall asleep.

Ilyra

She walked slowly, leaning on both her mother and the woman. She felt good enough to walk, but she didn't want to tire herself out. She was very disappointed with herself and her performance, so she wasn't big on talking. She was sad, and part of her didn't want to go home to her girlfriend. Tahigwa didn't need someone who couldn't even protect herself.

She fell asleep wondering if she was broken, and if she was how would she ever fix herself.
