History: While she remembers very little, what she does remember isnt all that great, its actually pretty crappy. She was the heiress to a large, rich and powerful family and was constantly told to keep away from people. Of course she ignored this often to go out and play, sneaking out away from hyper strict parents who forced her into dresses and told her how to act. Constantly reminding her that one day she would be married to the right man and she had to be a "proper lady" for him. From the time she was 5 years old, constantly being to told what to do, it drove Vera stir crazy.

When she turned 18 she was betrothed to a rich young man, who had just inherited his fathers company, by an arrangement their parents made when finally Vera had enough and snapped, announcing very clearly that she would never marry that man, or any man, because she liked women. Shocked and appalled Vera's father stood up slowly, and said in a clear angry voice, "Get out of my house. I have no daughter anymore."

With those words Vera was disowned and thrown out onto the streets where she had to claw her way off the ground every day just to survive. Sure men made offers to help her, in exchange for favors, but every time a man learned down over her to offer her a hand to stand up she slapped it away, constantly being reminded that she was worthless unless a man helped her. That she, a woman couldn't stand on her own two feet and it disgusted her.

Finally, after two full years of barely managing to survive a kind woman took pity on her, the woman was in her mid-30's and was a widow, as her husband had died in a war. She had found Vera passed out on the streets and took her into her own home, she cared for Vera and helped her to recover. It was that woman who had taught her some musical skills, mostly singing and how to use her voice, but after a couple of months it all went sour, and all because of that phrase "You'll make a man very happy one day". It was during this conversation that Vera told the woman who took her in that she had no interest in men, that she was more fond of women and received nothing but pure silence for a full minute. Unsure of what else to say, or do, Vera just sat there in the living room with an uneasy tension hovering over the two of them. It was then the woman went to the kitchen and returned, holding a large knife in her hand. "Abominations like you don't deserve kindness." were the last words she would hear as the knife seemingly appeared in the middle of her chest, piercing through her breast straight through her heart.

A Decade of Peace
[collapse=Description]A Decade of Peace is at its core a defensive technique, envisioned in the mind that a true master of the sword need not use his prowess to find peace. This technique allows the user to find, through concentration, the point of their enemy’s own attack, diverting it with a quick stab of their blade below their weapon or limbs, then utilizing the flat of the blade diverts the attack overhead, while their free palm presses against the opponents chest, shoving them away, before sheathing your own blade in the gap provided. Personality: Veraria can be seen as brash, rude, arrogant and headstrong because of her fiery personality and is willingness to back up her words with her actions. Vera has been known to have an explosive temper which often times come out while she is drunk. Vera isnt very fond of people, often keeping her distance because she only sees the worst in people and has very rarely ever been shown the "Goodness" that people claim to have within her. Due to this she isn't really much of a team player type often preferring to be alone. The few that do manage to form a bond with her, endure her harsh words and at times her explosive temper often will find a deep and loyal friend for the rest of their lives. That is to say, unless they betray her or her trust. Very few ever have, but those who have, well it didn't exactly end pretty for them. Deep down inside Vera longs for a close personal friend, someone she can really trust but at the same time she is afraid to trust people, even from her own village. Because of this, many sneer at her and see her as an outsider.
